Default List of all Known GameCube CEs

NTSC:
Resident Evil 4 Special Edition
- ESRB.M - Jan 11, 2005 - 013388990467 - only 48,000 made

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Limited Collector's Edition
- ESRB.M - Mar 29, 2005

Arguable:
The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
- ESRB.E - Nov 24, 2003 - 045496961480
-Only version made available, not sold in stores though... actually somewhat rare

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3 Limited Edition Preview Disc
-it was a demo disc but actually labled as a "limited edition" and came with bonus content including a classic arcade game...

--------------
PAL:

The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Limited Edition

The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Limited Edition (Slipcover Edition)
-HMV Exclusive

Mario Kart Double Dash (Slipcover Edition)
-HMV Exclusive

Mario Kart Double Dash - 2 disc console pack-in
The initial console release of Double Dash had a 2 disc pack-in, where the second disc featured the Zelda: Collector's Edition compilation disc. Subsequent releases of the console bundle would just have a standard one disc NFRS version of the game

Pokémon Colosseum - 2 disc console pack-in
The console bundle for Pokémon Colosseum had a 2 disc pack-in, where the second disc featured the very sought after Pokémon Box utility. Pokémon Box itself was never released for retail, and was only available as a very limited disc from Club Nintendo, or as part of this bundle pack-in

Resident Evil 4 Limited Edition (Gamestation Console Bundle)
-includes a special slip cover for the game and a bonus disc

Arguable:
The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
-Only version made available, not sold in stores though...

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
-saw it listed as a limited edition, it looked like a bundle box with a cable included, it's different than the us release but it's not clear if it was actually a limited edition or just a bundle.

--------------
NTSC-J:

Biohazard Collector's Box
  • 5 Biohazard (0, 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica Complete) titles for GameCube in one box (8 discs total)
  • Includes Wesker's Report 1 & 2
  • Comes with 2 free Memory Cards
  • Packed into one box covering the "Umbrella Corp. Emblem"

Phantasy Star Online Trilogy Limited Edition
  • Includes Phantasy Star Online 1&2 Plus
  • Includes Phantasy Star Online III: C.A.R.D Revolution
  • Includes special paper box to hold both games together

Please post up if you know of others or know details about any of the above

Majora's Mask is an N64 game. The Adventure set was indeed released in Germany, but is for the N64. As far as I know, the only version of Majora's Mask available for the GameCube is as part of the Zelda: Collector's Edition compilation disc, and wasn't released on its own

The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Limited Edition
This Limited Edition is a 2 disc set, where disc 2 includes Ocarina Of Time / Master Quest. There are two variations of this set - The retail version comes in a gold coloured case, whereas the console pack-in version comes with a plain black case

There's also a GAME exclusive sleeve, which I believe is silver. I heard it was a store employee edition, although that may require citation. I also believe a gold versions exists as well

I own the console bundle, and can confirm that the game included is just the usual retail version, and certainly doesn't come with slip cover. However, those who bought their retail version of Resi 4 from Gamestation would get the special sleeve. As far as I know, this was the only LE for Resi 4 released in the UK

The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition

Maybe the American one is rare, but the PAL one is dirt common!

Not sold in stores, but stores did seem to have an endless supply of them which they gave away to people who bought a brand new GameCube console. It was also available on our Club Nintendo site in the Stars Catalogue for ages.

Certainly not rare though. In fact, I would say it's amongst one of the most common games out there for the GameCube!

I bought mine one day of release. It comes in the same kind of box as Odama and the Mario Party games. As far as I know, this was the only version released in the UK, although some European members on SGH do own sealed copies of the game itself minus the box and cable (The game inside the box never came sealed, only the outer box), so debatable whether you'd call this a CE or not. Same for Odama, Mario Party 6 & 7, and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures...

Other PAL GameCube games I know of include:

Mario Kart Double Dash - 2 disc console pack-in

The initial console release of Double Dash had a 2 disc pack-in, where the second disc featured the Zelda: Collector's Edition compilation disc. Subsequent releases of the console bundle would just have a standard one disc NFRS version of the game

I believe there is some kind of Metroid Prime double feature for America, but don't know too much about it. I think it's Metroid Prime 1 & 2 bundled together in the same case, and has a split cover showing artwork from both games

There is also a very rare Zelda disc in America which is essentially the Ocarina Of Time / Master Quest bonus content found in the PAL Wind Waker LE. I believe this was given away on the American Club Nintendo site, and not sold at retail

I still have the HMV sleeve for Zelda as well. I don't have the game though as I swapped it for some of the last 17 vintage Star Wars figures. It was a damn good deal at the time but I still wish I had Zelda.

Where the Zelda Collector's Edition is concerned, they should have called it the Zelda Collection or Zelda Compilation. There's nothing significant which makes it a Collector's Edition, and is the only version of the game out there

It's also so common that I would guess nearly everyone who owns a GameCube probably has it, or so it would seem, in the same way that nearly all NES owners also own Mario Bros 3 and that Turtles game...
