Very disappointing
MGS1 Snake is a natural starting point since they are beginning with MGS1. I do agree, however, that this statue just doesn't have an MGS "feel". Part of this is probably because MGS1 is a near 20-year-old game, but I think there are some clear deficiencies in this piece:
- The greys on the sneaking suit are too light and the suit overall is missing some dark blue. F4F keep justifying this by saying they are using the legacy collection art of Snake. I'm not sure why they've decided to use these artworks exclusively as a reference point, but even then, the colours seem way off to me.
Spoiler!

-Face seems off. Maybe a little too old and weathered. Also shape perhaps too long.
Spoiler!

-Knee pads appear abnormally large, though this could just be a result of the pose.
-Base is generic, not recognizable from game
-Pose is original. Not necessarily a bad thing but definitely contributing to that lack of MGS flavour.
-Iconic SOCOM pistol missing (they are working on getting this approved apparently)

Yet it still looks pretty good and I'll be preordering. The rotating ammo box is brilliant.

While I was writing this I found that F4F is looking into addressing some of these complaints. They are posting tweaks on facebook.

I am ok with them starting with MGS1 Snake, but these:

-Base is generic, not recognizable from game
-Pose is original. Not necessarily a bad thing but definitely contributing to that lack of MGS flavour.
-Iconic SOCOM pistol missing (they are working on getting this approved apparently)

Are some of the points.
Other is that is doesnt feel "natural". You look at the Crash Bandicoot or the Natan Drake statues that are coming out and there is a "natural" look/flow to it. I know they are very different characters and all of that but still...

I agree. Even if they fix the issues relating to the colour, base, face etc., there's something about the pose that just doesn't do it for me. It's awkward. What's good about it though is that it would go nicely with future pieces in the line in creating a battle scene (have a boss bearing down on snake on the other side of the wall).

I have zero interest in anything MGS and know next to nothing about the series. But even to me, something feels off about the statue.

F4F are pushing back the preorder on Snake and changing a lot:

Thankfully they also changed the face.

Still not a fan of the pose, but this statue has been salvaged imo. Props to F4F for listening to the fans and not just sticking with the "we're using official files from konami" excuse. Easy buy and I can't wait for the rest of the line.

Bioshock big daddy is now up at https://www.threezerohk.com/
It looks like there is no exclusive?

BIOSHOCK – 1/6 Big Daddy and Little Sister collectible figure is available for pre-order. Price: 280 USD / 2180 HKD with Worldwide shipping included in the price.

1/6 Big Daddy collectible figure stands approximately 12.5” (~31.5cm) tall and 1/6 Little Sister is 5.6 inches (~14.3cm)

Not sure I like that little sister facial expression. Ay idea if the scale is correct? 12 inches tall seems a little small

12.5" at 1/6 scale would put the Big Daddy over 6 feet when scaled up.

I preordered this, but I'm not sure I want to keep it. When I first heard about it, I thought it was a statue. But with the exposed joints (especially on the Little Sister), it just looks like a regular figure (like NECA) for a bucket of money.

6 feet really isn't that much. The big daddies are taller than that imo...
