You mean "fortunately"... or did you want to get less for it?

In any case sometimes they artificially create more demand by withholding stock (and a lot of retailers do it now to avoid cancellations... so stock usually comes back on release day like with collectors editions). Not saying this is what is happening here... just pointing out this does happen with consoles (Nintendo is famous for it... even the Wii U was "sold out" for awhile lol).

Good for buyers if would this be that case but since Project Scorpio is limited edition announced in limited quantity only at launch I doubt it will ever get back in stock. It was sold our everywhere quickly over here.

Looking at the winning bids on eBay and considering I paid over 600€ for the very first Xbox One Day 1 Edition I think it's a steal.

Yeah probably true and as you say i am sure the Day 1s are limited.
