I wonder what happened for them to delay the release, everyone was under the impression the game was almost complete and will be out soon. I presume it's to move the release away from the Gears of War 3 release in April.

Deus Ex was delayed because of quality issues of the final product, primarily. Deus Ex HR was originally slated for February, so there was never a conflict with Gears of War 3, which releases later this year (September, I think) and not April.

Oops - read the days and months the wrong way round. LOL.

Quality issues, huh. Must mean one of the platforms is harder to make than the other, both can't be bad. Can they?

Well, Deus Ex HR is being developed for three platforms. (Xbox, PS3, PC)

As far as cross-platform difficulties, that could be a distinct possibility. The PS3 has been known to be tougher to code for than either the Xbox or PC.

i think they're polishing the game up so it sells better after the dismal sale of a certain game..and also bumping it to that time frame looks better for the financial outlook for that time.

which works for us since they'll work harder to make a better game that sells.

Default Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Pre-Order Edition (UK)

I was just browsing HMV for the Deus Ex CE, when I came across a few listings for something called the "Pre-order Edition". No pictures or description, and it seems to be priced at the same price as the standard release:

PS3 - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...1;-1&sku=45792

X360 - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...1;-1&sku=45730

PC - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...1;-1&sku=45853

I also found it listed on the Zavvi website as well...

PS3 - http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms.../10201858.html

X360 - http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms.../10201857.html

PC - http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms.../10201859.html

I doubt very much that it's the numbered CE, and it's not the Augmented Edition as that has a separate listing on the site. Curious to know what this is...

My guess is that it's likely the standard release with some kind of HMV exclusive DLC codes which will only be available for those who pre-order

It nothing more than pre-order bonuses given to every release. it will be all or a combination of -

Explosive Mission Pack
In-game Automatic Unlocking Device
In-game M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED)
In-game Linebacker G-87 Multiple Shot Grenade Launcher

However this DLC could be inside the case instead of the separate card.
