Aye, those rapid price reductions on European fighting game CE's you guys mentioned are quite shocking.

But I doubt the same situation will happen with this MvC3 special Edition.

I would be very surprised.

A private seller on Amazon.co.uk is trying to sell one for £118 or about $170 USD.

On Amazon Germany however, there's a seller on there listing for €90

If capcom online still has it, i thinkt that is the best place to get. they're giving a shuma gorath shirt along with it.

IIRC, Capcom is the only place to get it online now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Capcom Online Store sells out soon, if it hasn't already.

I was also thinking about canceling my preorder not too long ago. I think I just figured I would let it sit until it got closer to release date. Now I am glad I did, although I was thinking about grabbing one from the capcom store with a free t-shirt, but as you said, only PS3 copies are left...

Yeah, I forgot for a second that the Xbox 360 is the de facto fighting game console this generation.

I usually think of FPS's and action games in regards to popular genres on that system, but I guess a lot of Xbox owners tend to go for fighting games, as well.

The fact that XBL is a better, more robust online service than PSN probably has something to do with it.

I was also surprised by this, especially when you consider the incredibly poor design of the d-pad on the xbox controller. The PS3 controller is much more suited to the fighting games.

do you think they buy arcade sticks for these games? We saw how badly the Tekken and SFIV sticks sold, but there is a niche for arcade sticks going on right now. I myself have never bought one, but the last fighting game I bought was Dead or Alive 4 . The Mortal Kombat TE will be my first.

I think your right about the arcade sticks, they don't produce more then 20K-30K and that's worldwide.

MY last Beat em up was marvel vs tatsunoko for the Wii, fantastic game and only cost £9. Can't go wrong with that.
