there are collectors who do want everything but there are also people who don't give a crap about these extra things and just like owning something like that, First 4 Figures also comes oftenly with exclusive versions which are more limited, see it as a normal game and a game with a goodie included which is limited, i guess it's whatever you prefer :p

It's common practice for sideshow to have an "Exclusive" & "Regular" edition, the difference being the extra weapon and more limited run for the "Exclusive".

I agree entirely, it is dumb, they should make 1 version.

Usually with the Regular, they are available from and sold by other retailers like BigBadToyStore and others that I can't remember right now..

Exclusive will only be available on SideShow's website. Their way of making sure they give collectors reason to purchase directly from them. Like mosavon mentioned, they are also more limited. These Exclusives can range from an entirely different costume to an extra gun, like in this case.

Their "Limited" editions are getting bigger and bigger. Also, more often than not, they wait to announce the size of the edition after the preorder goes live so that they can gauge what the demand is. The higher the demand, the larger the limited edition. Don't love that way of them doing it, but they do make the best statues around. I pre ordered Drake and cant wait to get him. Sideshow has gotten far too much of my money this year.

I only found them about a year ago, when they released the Kratos Statue. I was looking for the nicest Kratos I could, which at the time was a Neca statue, I ran across their site, and I have been poor ever since. Their statues are absolutely amazing though. Expensive, but definitely worth every penny...and thankfully 99% of them hold their value or go up so if you ever decide to sell one you arent losing your ass like you do with electronics and other things.

too bad i still have to wait 1 month till mine arrive, cant wait to get this amazing statue! I already found some nice unboxing videos, the statue is very large, even larger than the SideShow Diablo 3 Barbarian Statue. the only thing disappointed me is that on the SideShow photos the face of the lich king is blue, but the retail figure is black not blue, oh and the edges of the armor is not golden like on the pictures, its more some kind of silver i think, shame on SideShow, but hey, i can live with it, for that the Light Up feature is just stunning

Same here. I had a deposit on the Guardian exclusive but had to cancel for something else. Might still get it if it ever resurfaces for right price. :]

p.s. Oh right I just remembered: I cancelled the preorder cause Sideshow sometimes sends out statues with defects (ex: crazy eyes).

Be good to see another AC figure,especially Altair. However,it states that this among the projects which the manufacture has spoke of & there "may" be some news on it at SDCC 2013. Theres no scheduled release or confirmation thats 100%. So,at this stage there may be a prototype shown or at the least some news possible,nothing more than that sadly. Its a start that i really hope turns into something more

yes the only statue with a orc right now is the Wolfrider statue made of bronze, hes pretty heavy, about 15kg! but hes from WETA, not Sideshow ;)

Wow! Looks stunning. Not my favourite Diablo but he (or it a she?) looks awesome. I think I'll be fine with the NECA figure for now. But this looks tempting!

I'm really hoping we got a good strong line of Diablo figures. The Butcher, Leoric, Mephisto, Baal etc have all been epic bosses.

i agree, also not my favourite Diablo design, i liked the Diablo design from Diablo 2 more, but she (yes, in D3 is Diablo a woman^^) looks also great, and the light up feature is really badass, must have! =)

the box from my Sideshow Arthas statue was protected very good, 2 brown shippers with some corner protection and than the color box, but my other Sideshow statue has only one brown shipper and than the color box, without any corner protection =(

So is at least the Drake Statue without damage? how does he looks, do you like him? i just pre ordered him when i saw the first unboxing of it, looks really awesome!

oh and yeah, the SideShow customer service pretty sucks, i already had 2 problems and no help from the customer service!

Figure is ok...but they don't understand, that an exclusive figure is not only the figure...the Box too...is the whole pack what makes it exclusive...

I can understand some cosmetic wear in a box...and possibly some damaged corners...

But I cannot asume that it arrived with two bullet holes on the bottom of the box, and what is more important, where the figure box comes numbered...

I think sending a flat box for a replacement is not asking too much...but for them it looks it is...

After paying the figure, big custom fees and receive this...will never happen again.

Won't buy an exclusive directly from them never again.

And of course...tell me to give 20 bucks of discount in my next purchase for apologising is a damn joke knowing the price of the figures...

Will wait to some European retailer to sell the normal edition.

As an 'International' buyer, I have come to terms that I won't be able to get all my packages in perfect condition. There's been far too many cases and a fair number of online sites have very bad customer service that it's just not worth the trouble to get a replacement. (Which also might come in damaged).

Don't let me discourage you though. Go all out for a replacement. Sideshow pieces should come in perfectly mint, including the box which is part of the entire package. Try again and keep pestering. They have, in my experience, upped their compensation even though they claim that's the best they could offer.

I do feel that a lot of companies should put in more effort into their packaging though, especially for the prices that we are paying.

Oh and do post pics of the Statue too!

That's absolutely disgraceful, guess you saved me some money as I was looking at some of their items and was thinking of ordering but after seeing this i'm not going anywhere near them, especially at the price i'd be paying and for them to show no interest in repairing the situation other than a $20 off next order (which is absolutely hilarious they'd think you'd order again after that).

I'd pester them and bring to light the fact you wont be ordering anything else so you don't need the 20$ and you want a partial refund as you received your good damaged and not as advertised.

I have dozens of Sideshow statues, and they almost all arrived to me from Sideshow with some degree of box damage. It doesn't really bother me, as the condition of the boxes isn't that important to me at all, but I can see how some collectors might get upset. Aside from adding the one flimsy brown shipping box, and two paper thin strips of cardboard (one on the top of the box, and one on the bottom of the box), Sideshow doesn't really include any real padding for statue boxes.

It shouldnt discourage you from getting Sideshow pieces I feel. If you can get it locally or from a EU distributor, then do try them but not buying them just because of some potential box damage will be sad.

i was hoping to see some more video game related stuff from sideshow this year, but only Kerrigan was new...

but another interesting info by the way, Triforce just bought the World of Warcraft license, lets see what they do with it, im sure we will see some pretty nice replicas soon, but i also hope to see some nice statues! ^^

Oh.. Triforce are pretty good but their preferred scale is too big for me. Even if I could afford them, I don't have that kind of space. But pretty excited to see what they come up with.

yeah thats true, the scale of most of there replicas and statues is hugh, same as the price ^^

far as i know sideshow still have the Blizzard license, but i think SideShow focus is still on comic/movie based statues, they showed some really awesome statues on the SDCC2K14 btw, check them out, that court of the dead line looks awesome!

This was at Gamescom, not sure of the size but definitely bigger than 1:1 scale I think. They have the sculpt.. now Sideshow just need to make it for the mass market..
