I am starting off with bad qaulity photo's as my display cabinets are on the same wall as my window so nothing gets direct sunlight and sun damage which means when i take a photo the photo becaomes very bleached out in most cases

i started collecting consoles in summer 2010 buying between 2-5 each month then in september of 2011 i postponed that ad started amassing a collection of the Assassin's Creed franchize
i prefer collectors edition to be themed and to include items you would expect to see the that game universe

i prefer these types of editions to the boring standard of game + dlc + figure + art book as i beleive that the art book and figure should be sold seprately and they have been sold seperately for many games and franchizes and they sell very well
where as a game edition that seems to have just dropped out of the game universe seems more unique and makes it feel more special

What got me into Collecting
well psychologists say people hoard and collect things beacuse they had trauma in early life and they form attatchments to things instead of people as they can surround themselves in the love that they did not receive as a child or some thing like that
i started collecting the games consoles and :quote:retro because
1 i wanted to be able to look back at how far the technoloy had came in a relatively short period of time
that is all for now i wrote alot more before but it did not save any of it i will update with another chapter when i think of waht to write
2 i wanted to possibly open an interactive video game museum where people could come and see the history of the industry and then pick a console and game and play them, this would help families bond as the childeren could play the games that there parent so r grandparents played and the older generations could give them advvice on how to play, this would make the family bond stronger and make for an ejoyable day out
3 2 also leads onto my 3rd reason i wanted to possible set up a small at first local retro games tournament and league and then if that was successful either to open a nationwaide (UK) league or hold special events or take guest spots during festivals or media events ro be rentable for parties or special occassions
4 i also started collectiong as i wante dto go into business or reproduction boxes but this dream is a couple of years off as i wanted to get a decent catalogue set up before i could start producing (i am interested to know peoples thoughts on this one)

Bio Take 2when i was younger, right from as young as anyone can remember and far back before records began, i was always happy and content, giggling at everything and anything. never letting anything get me down, shrugging off anything negative and remembering only the good. and as grew grew from an ugly duckling to an ugly swan, this attitude continued with me throught my younger years. slowly with the help from those lovely things we like to call hormones but men just think its us in general, i forget where i was going with this so i`ll stop know and start another one. oh i remember i started to become less of the person i was before less of the happy sort and more of a plain, never happy, never sad young lady who would drift through life making friends laugh with random comments of this and that from obscure things to thingss that where down right funny all the way to insults but said in a such dead pain monotone dreary way you couldn`t help but laugh, some of my friends still expect this of me but i`m trying to be nice these days.
then after a while i started to be happy again as i began to learn more about myself and my likes and what dries me,
one of the things i like and drives me aove all else is the love and joy of learning, people may find this weird but i do enjoy learning, we live in such a big world, with different languages, cultures and much more that i accept its impossible to know everything, and i accept that i know nothing but i like finding out new things, een if i forget them a few seconds later.
now alot of you wouold thing my passion in life was assassin`s creed, and you would be way wrong, my passion the one thing i loe more then anything well i say anything i would loe a husband who cares for me and treats me like i`m important as i neer really feel special or important (hence the name lowly) but forgive the "ramblings of a fool"(the name of my book), lets try and get to the point, oh yes my second greatest passion in life is the live music, i care not for your ipod, mp3, flac, cd, walkman, audio cassette, laser disc`s and to a lesser extent vinyl (long live the vinyl) live music is what is important, don`t care what genre or type it is if the whole piece (tiny bit of sampling is acceptable) can be performed live then it gets my vote
a few people here think i`m a rock chic and to some extent they`d be right but my love for music spans from the classical, through early 20th century upto the 90`s music, my faourite type of music would be hard to say, i think each genre and type of musci has a purpose and cannot be compared, like you cannot listen to some rock or metal quietly as it just ecomes noise, and from what i have found from my brief experience with the modern music they call dub step or whatever its called (the music children play through there cell phones) i cannot lissten to that thing loud.
another of my favourite things is camping as when you go camping you expose yourself to nature and strip yourself from creature comforts which exposes a rarely seen side of our true humanities forcing us to work together and e kind to each other, and when this camping experience is combined with a music experience such as a music venue then you get what i personally believe is heaven on earth and i have not yet experienced a nicer or etter place to be, the in a field with 100,000+ other people who are all there for the same reason, which is primarily to have a good time
isn`t that out goal in life really. to have a good time

more about me hmm,
i swing from being a person who loves company and wants to meet with everybody and make new friends, to someone who is content with my own company and enjoying the silence and piece it brings. this can happen on a day by day basis or i could be happy and outgoing for a month then spend 2-3 days being happily alone, i feel this keeps me interesting and keeps things fresh as it helps me learn not to take anything for granted and helps prevent me from geting stuck into routines
oh how i dislike the idea of being stuck in an endless routine, the horror, but who doesn`t right

i like nature and the idea that it is always in flux always changing, and never standing still, i don`t think there is any part of nature i truely dislike hate or despise, well maybe mans ability to hate, but is that not a contradiction (i don`t know how those things work)
along with my loe of nature and the natural i also like the architecture and design brought about my man, and how in an ever changing world something can be created that just stands still for a moment and says "THIS, this is what i am, no secrets, take me or leave me"
i think its important to sometimes take that moment and just stand still and look, listen, absorb what is there around us as we never know when it will be gone, although if we hold onto everything then we are doomed as if we do not let new things hapen then we are preventing progress

OKAY i feel i have gone way off topic and instead of doing a bio i hae been ranting and telling stories, so i`ll try and get back to where i was meant to be heading

sometimes in my life i just zone out, hae a blank expression on my face, go completely into myself, i stil function in the real world like do my job, eat, sleep etc but if you where to look at me you could tell my mind was else where, i`m not sure why this happens, it probably has a medical name but seeing as it has cause unknown and occurance cannot be predicted, and sometimes i dont realize its happening, it would be a very hard thing to get disagnozed or confront a medically type person about,
i like to think i am an individual, but that is part of the human condition and we all like to think that,
i would like one day to have a family, and a place to live somewhere with nice architecture so not a square house with no character, the place would not e too important aslong as i had a loving husband and children the everything else would be water under the bridge, i would prefer to live in an english speaking community, but am aware of the beauty of some countries like japan and the viking territories, (thats the new official name for those countries)
i prefer the warm to the could as when its cold i hae to wear alot of layers and it makes me feel cold and i dont like it much
although i don`t like extreme heat eaither as that makes me hot and thats not nice
i do like the feal of cold hands on my back, "thought you`d like to know"
i`m 5 feet 7 tall i think or there about it`s been a year or 2 since i measured, would prefer to be smaller say 5'2 but hey what can you do
i`m currently a size 10-12 ish give or take, size 10 in normal tops trousers skirts etc, but 12 in dresses generally
i like body in general, its a nice body, its got some nice marks on it, and a few stories to tell, i should like it its mine and i`m not getting another one (well i think there the rules any way)
theres a few things i would like different about me, i think my nose is too big, i know its not huge but i`d like it a little smaller, i dont`t like my hands but can`t do anything about that so i`ve just learnt to live with them
i think i`m too muscly, not body builder muscly but i walk alot of places, i walk for 30 mins to work and back for one job 5 days a week and an hour a day 4 days a week to another job, and this means i hae a lot of muscly muscle :( which is annoying but if i stopped walking i guess it would all just turn into fat so i guess its fine
i love my legs there soo perfect well they look perfect to me when i wear heals so there :p not so much when i am sitting down though, then the tops of my legs look all fat and blurgh and i would like them to not look like that but cant seem to be ale to do anything short of lipo so im fine with them
lets see what else
i need glasses, but don`t want glasses as i love my eyes THIS< > much :)
and i think thats everything for now, i will have to re read this all and fill in any missing gaps

but i then encounter the immortal line
with out the sour, the sweet just isn`t as sweet
and that got me to realizing we have to have the bad things in order to make the happy things more precious

i have most of those consoles once boxed and once unboxed so they can be used
and try to have a collection of at least one of each type of game (racing adventure etc) but am trying to built up a set of at least 20 games for each console

nah i've had those curtains since i was 10 so pushing 15 years now

my gaming setup is nothing special
Samsung 37 inch lcd in my room with inbuilt speakers
only have my Red Resident Evil xbox connected these days
using standard cheap xbox headset for voice chat
need to reconnect my X12's but they make me play to seriously and i like playing for fun
also i sit on my bed about 8-10 feet from the screen depending on the game / concentratio level required
will take a pic of my gaming setup in a bit once i've started on my bio

Official :welcome:! :D Nice collection. I agree with you about themed CE's although I'm big fan of artbooks and figurines in CE's too. It's nice to have some in-game or given universe memorabilia insted of cheapy made ordinary things (playing cards/mousepads are good examples - but some card decks are well made and nice to have - Witcher 2 CE, Fable 3 CE, Fallout: New Veags CE ones..) with just a given game/franchise logo.

But if they sold those items you list desperately more people would buy them
As there are a lot of people that just want books or just figures but will not buy a whole VE

I'm slightly different case in this case. :D Because all those separately sold book, artbooks etc. are not available in Czech Republic so I must buy them from UK or US and it's quite expensive at all. I'm really pleased then if some CE has quality artbook/book (Bioshock 2 CE, Witcher 2 CE, Diablo 3 CE) or figurine etc. As far as I buy only my most favourite universes CE's and stuff (too much of them :D ) I'm ready to pay for whole package. :) But I understand other collector's buying principles.

The seller knows it is not number 1 of 15000 it was apparent in the way he wrote the listing
And since when did people put the number for numbered items on a sticker on the outside of cellophane wrapper so when you open it you lose the number?
Never before or since has that happened

I am 25 years old born on 26th of December 1987 to a loving family
I have 19 fingers and 2 heads haha not really
I currently work as a cleaner as it is a hassle and stress free job, I can see that I make a difference to the world preventing the spread of infections and illness in schools so the children can learn and better themselves, it also helps improve my immune system so I am less likely to become ill, also means I am more likely to be immune to new illnesses due to my constant exposure to dirty environments, although I would like a new job I am considering changing career would like to be an air hostess or work in human resources are my realistic goals but dreams would be working one of the many desk jobs in a games company like HR, admin, promotion, PR , Research/ accuracy department or to be a GP/ doctor but that involves a lot of training and is costly so will look into becoming a nurse as then I will still be making a difference to the world
I really love the TV series doctor who, I have seen every episode at least twice so far that's the 1963 to present, I like that not because of the SciFi aspect but because of was made as an educational program, not so much now the doctor who reboot is more of an action SciFi program but I love the modern doctor who for am different reason as now it is apparent he is a troubled soul and I like to see how he struggles with his own humanity and it makes me feel good about my self and make me think my problems are not worth worrying about

Bio Take 2when i was younger, right from as young as anyone can remember and far back before records began, i was always happy and content, giggling at everything and anything. never letting anything get me down, shrugging off anything negative and remembering only the good. and as grew grew from an ugly duckling to an ugly swan, this attitude continued with me throught my younger years. slowly with the help from those lovely things we like to call hormones but men just think its us in general, i forget where i was going with this so i`ll stop know and start another one. oh i remember i started to become less of the person i was before less of the happy sort and more of a plain, never happy, never sad young lady who would drift through life making friends laugh with random comments of this and that from obscure things to thingss that where down right funny all the way to insults but said in a such dead pain monotone dreary way you couldn`t help but laugh, some of my friends still expect this of me but i`m trying to be nice these days.
then after a while i started to be happy again as i began to learn more about myself and my likes and what dries me,
one of the things i like and drives me aove all else is the love and joy of learning, people may find this weird but i do enjoy learning, we live in such a big world, with different languages, cultures and much more that i accept its impossible to know everything, and i accept that i know nothing but i like finding out new things, een if i forget them a few seconds later.
now alot of you wouold thing my passion in life was assassin`s creed, and you would be way wrong, my passion the one thing i loe more then anything well i say anything i would loe a husband who cares for me and treats me like i`m important as i neer really feel special or important (hence the name lowly) but forgive the "ramblings of a fool"(the name of my book), lets try and get to the point, oh yes my second greatest passion in life is the live music, i care not for your ipod, mp3, flac, cd, walkman, audio cassette, laser disc`s and to a lesser extent vinyl (long live the vinyl) live music is what is important, don`t care what genre or type it is if the whole piece (tiny bit of sampling is acceptable) can be performed live then it gets my vote
a few people here think i`m a rock chic and to some extent they`d be right but my love for music spans from the classical, through early 20th century upto the 90`s music, my faourite type of music would be hard to say, i think each genre and type of musci has a purpose and cannot be compared, like you cannot listen to some rock or metal quietly as it just ecomes noise, and from what i have found from my brief experience with the modern music they call dub step or whatever its called (the music children play through there cell phones) i cannot lissten to that thing loud.
another of my favourite things is camping as when you go camping you expose yourself to nature and strip yourself from creature comforts which exposes a rarely seen side of our true humanities forcing us to work together and e kind to each other, and when this camping experience is combined with a music experience such as a music venue then you get what i personally believe is heaven on earth and i hae not yet experienced a nicer or etter place to be, the in a field with 100,000+ other people who are all there for the same reason, which is primarily to have a good time
isn`t that out goal in life really. to have a good time

more about me hmm,
i swing from being a person who loves company and wants to meet with everybody and make new friends, to someone who is content with my own company and enjoying the silence and piece it brings. this can happen on a day by day basis or i could be happy and outgoing for a month then spend 2-3 days being happily alone, i feel this keeps me interesting and keeps things fresh as it helps me learn not to take anything for granted and helps prevent me from geting stuck into routines
oh how i dislike the idea of being stuck in an endless routine, the horror, but who doesn`t right

i like nature and the idea that it is always in flux always changing, and never standing still, i don`t think there is any part of nature i truely dislike hate or despise, well maybe mans ability to hate, but is that not a contradiction (i don`t know how those things work)
along with my loe of nature and the natural i also like the architecture and design brought about my man, and how in an ever changing world something can be created that just stands still for a moment and says "THIS, this is what i am, no secrets, take me or leave me"
i think its important to sometimes take that moment and just stand still and look, listen, absorb what is there around us as we never know when it will be gone, although if we hold onto everything then we are doomed as if we do not let new things hapen then we are preventing progress

OKAY i feel i have gone way off topic and instead of doing a bio i hae been ranting and telling stories, so i`ll try and get back to where i was meant to be heading

sometimes in my life i just zone out, hae a blank expression on my face, go completely into myself, i stil function in the real world like do my job, eat, sleep etc but if you where to look at me you could tell my mind was else where, i`m not sure why this happens, it probably has a medical name but seeing as it has cause unknown and occurance cannot be predicted, and sometimes i dont realize its happening, it would be a very hard thing to get disagnozed or confront a medically type person about,
i like to think i am an individual, but that is part of the human condition and we all like to think that,
i would like one day to have a family, and a place to live somewhere with nice architecture so not a square house with no character, the place would not e too important aslong as i had a loving husband and children the everything else would be water under the bridge, i would prefer to live in an english speaking community, but am aware of the beauty of some countries like japan and the viking territories, (thats the new official name for those countries)
i prefer the warm to the could as when its cold i hae to wear alot of layers and it makes me feel cold and i dont like it much
although i don`t like extreme heat eaither as that makes me hot and thats not nice
i do like the feal of cold hands on my back, "thought you`d like to know"
i`m 5 feet 7 tall i think or there about it`s been a year or 2 since i measured, would prefer to be smaller say 5'2 but hey what can you do
i`m currently a size 10-12 ish give or take, size 10 in normal tops trousers skirts etc, but 12 in dresses generally
i like body in general, its a nice body, its got some nice marks on it, and a few stories to tell, i should like it its mine and i`m not getting another one (well i think there the rules any way)
theres a few things i would like different about me, i think my nose is too big, i know its not huge but i`d like it a little smaller, i dont`t like my hands but can`t do anything about that so i`ve just learnt to live with them
i think i`m too muscly, not body builder muscly but i walk alot of places, i walk for 30 mins to work and back for one job 5 days a week and an hour a day 4 days a week to another job, and this means i hae a lot of muscly muscle :( which is annoying but if i stopped walking i guess it would all just turn into fat so i guess its fine
i love my legs there soo perfect well they look perfect to me when i wear heals so there :p not so much when i am sitting down though, then the tops of my legs look all fat and blurgh and i would like them to not look like that but cant seem to be ale to do anything short of lipo so im fine with them
lets see what else
i need glasses, but don`t want glasses as i love my eyes THIS< > much :)
and i think thats everything for now, i will have to re read this all and fill in any missing gaps
or if you want to know anything just ask and i`ll write anything you want

but i then encounter the immortal line
with out the sour, the sweet just isn`t as sweet
and that got me to realizing we have to have the bad things in order to make the happy things more precious

But a thing I call it wood its a wood book
I will get the link in about 10 mins just have to dig it out

And the book is from pixnlove.fr it is in French and unofficial, it comes with a DVD and lithographinsode the book, I do not know of they still sell it bit they where the publisher and also sold it originally

@Lex It's an original ACB concept art for the Naval Cannon invention. They were given to Ubisoft Quebec devs that worked on the Leo inventions for ACB. There're about 3 other types of concept canvas given to a few dozen devs: machine gun (6x), tank (7x), and flying machine (5x). Naval has 10x. I believe all were painted by Phillipe Doyon.

They all have a numbered holofoil sticker on them
Its the contents that makes them different

I'm still annoyed they only gave me one barrel but then I realize that most people got nothing so even what I have is still great and I use one of the chests as a chest for string my ac clothes which I think is pretty cool

That is to make a huge circle of it around me and make one of those sphere photo things that confuses mags but you can't view that on Facebook so =pointless

Yes bit ubicollectibles said either o could stitch them together myself or just supply the pics and they'll sort something out
So I'll stitch all mine together
Supply one pre stitched and all the separates and see what they want to do with them
If only Facebook supported GIFs then I'd be fine

Well, I forget to mention something yesterday.

You said to us once that its not always necessary to have to buy something and hold it in our hands. That it's totally fine to just be content with admiring pictures. Like most people, these thoughts did cross my mind. But my own greed always got the better of me, I let myself be tempted. There were times I spent more money than I should, good money that could've done more good for my family and myself. After reading your post, I'm more galvanized than ever before. I guess your words were so eloquent to me because you're a fellow Assassin. It's sad that it took so long for me to finally find this resolve. So yeah, I'm no longer buying anything unless it's truly special. Thanks for the wake up call, Lily.

Upon reading this, I was a little saddened at the thought of losing you as a fellow ac collector, but I also know that you won't have made the decision lightly, I believe it is true that we don't need things for the sake of having them, nor should we continue buying things because sales and marketing slap the word limited or collectors on it, I am truelly happy that you and your family will benefit from the improved monetary wealth and as a result the improved lifestyle that comes as a result of not spending every last penny, cent or dime on what are only worldly possessions and profit liners for international companies
I don't really know what to say, I am happy for you but also saddened that my words would seemingly make someone take such drastic action
I would love one final 'this is all I have' updateupdate
and good luck with what ever you heart chooses to pursue next in life, this collecting chapter may close but I hope you still have the time to enjoy or appreciate

Hey now, I'm just cutting back by a lot. I'll continue to collect AC (and other stuff) but only the super duper stuff that mean something to me personally. So one chapter closes and another begins right?! :p :hug: Sorta like an epilogue.

You did help me in more ways than you could imagine. My mind is more at ease cause I'm not focused on collecting as much as I used to be. The amount of hours I spent on ebay was humiliating and I'm glad it has been minimized exponentially.

P.s. My family weren't/aren't in any financial troubles, otherwise I wouldn't have started collecting in the first place. But the extra coin can now go to benefitting more people and not just myself.

And I know how many hours you spent on eBay
I used to spend more then 6 hours a day just searching for ac stuff and spent an hour and a half going through only one category on eBay last Sunday (there was another 4 categories to look through)
And you better still keep some of your AC as I'm still jealous of your collection (you all probably think that's stupid but this guy has stuff I absolutely have no idea where it came from)

Yeah it was getting to the point where I was obsessing more about memorabilia and less about having fun with the games I laud. Heck I haven't started on AC4bf yet!

I found my stuff on ebay; I was just there at the right time. Unless you're wondering about the actual origin of certain items?
Some of the things I don't know country or retailer of origin or the retail /promo /press /dev /VIP exclusive back story to it
