Yeah, I still think it's a jumbo though, because that's just a render, it could quite possibly be a normal size, but we'll need to wait and see. If it's normal size, then possibly some of the games will be redeemable codes, but I'd rather have all physical discs xx

it's a nice steelbook..but there's nothing really special going on with that box..just a bit plain looking..plus the japanese one at least was limited and had unique art work...i'm assuming these will be standard disks..and since AC1 is years old..it will probably be essentials or greatest hits format..plus 150 euro is very overpriced..but i think they want to take advantage of the holiday crowd..if there not numbered..and available throughout europe etc..the prices surely will come down...100 euro would be fair.

for it to be a true anthology..it should have included the PSP game release, the Nintendo DS game release and the PS Vita game release..along with some sort of Bonus content, that could ONLY be found in this set.and it must be individually numbered.then they can feel free to charge 150 euros all day and night.:) because it's looking like to be europe wide..it will be mass produced..i can't see the price staying that high for long.

we all know that ubisoft always gives EU and AUS the best non standard editions for some reason. like konami, namco bandai in recent years and square-enix to name a few.
i dont think an anthology pack will ever release in the US, the only thing they can do or actually done it is decreasing the price for the digital and the retail releases of AC games.

They timed this reveal just after AC3 released so sales of AC3 would not be affected. I think many people would have bought this instead of AC3 on it's own if it was announced earlier.

And end Nov release just in time for christmas season when the casual shoppers start buying gifts and 5 games in 1 would be a great gift. They just forgot to put a christmas theme on the box :lmao:

Will wait this out and see if it gets bargain binned. Even as a 5-in-1 Christmas bundle, this is still too expensive for a casual shopper as a gift considering the age of the games.

It's a no brainer that they will make more AC games in the future, because who would willingly kill their most profitable franchise ever?
But I doubt there will be another game for this generation of consoles...even though I wish there was a new AC every year, like for the last 4 years.

Anyway good luck for anyone who has never played any AC and buys this package and tries to quickly play through them all in one go. You will be completely exhausted :V

all though i like it..wish to grab one as soon as i can budget/afford it...after watching the unboxing..i was dissapointed to see not much content in it at all for the price,...i would of liked to have seen each game on a separate disc and each game have it's own case and the steelbook as a bonus to warrent the price there asking..to have a total of 3 game disks shoehorned into 1 steelbook and 5 pieces of paper aka lithograph for around $200 US..is outrageous...but i'm one of the suckers :D..who will try to get it regardless..although value is clearly questionable.

I assume you mean like a download code for the first two games of the xbox edition?

Both consoles have this ^ capability and have done it for games in the past.

In the PS3 edition, all the games are present on the 3 discs themselves.

I believe it's like this:

Disc 1: AC 1 & 2
Disc 2: AC Brotherhood & Revelations
Disc 3: AC 3

Trouble with xbox is it's limited to DVD's which are so small compared to blu rays.

Yeah, I think the steelbook will be exactly the same, with no difference to artwork or anything, as they aren't console branded. The Xbox one will just be G1, instead of G2 like the PS3 copy.

Yeah, I think I read somewhere on here that the Xbox one holds 6 discs, so that's another slight difference, but only to the plastic inside the steelbook (so 6 disc holders instead).

Obviously the outer box is different, but you've already noted that up above (the Xbox one has the white/green logo at the top of the box) etc.

But yeah, think that's all the info I really know about it haha :)

The Anthology is supposed to cover the story of Desmond Miles, ergo, AC3 being the final chapter. Ubisoft even said that they will release more AC games with a complete new cast of characters, which may include more female protagonist?!

If anything, the PlayStation version of the Anthology should have included both the PSP and Vita AC games in it imo.

Obviously Ubisoft won't kill of this franchise, but I was hoping they'd give us a break in 2013 :surrender:

On a side note
How many fans of the series want another game where for a thirds of the game we are taught how to play the game
And all missions follow the same pattern of
Assassinate this person
Pickpocket this person
Protect this person
Loot some chests
Does it not get a bit repetitive doing the same actions at the same time every year?

And BTW I'm not saying I am sick of the franchise just that I can see it happening if the gameplay (NOT STORY) does not see a major overhaul

i was reading on one of the video game blogs or newsfeeds about the next game being set in brazil..either it was on n4g.com or kotaku..and it said something along the lines of ubisoft recruiting some expert on brazilian portugese history and whatever happened to them back in the day..and ubisoft was denying the game even existing, but then some employee let it slip that indeed they were working on the next AC game and it was set in brazil..all this is unsubstaniated...remember ubisoft has DENIED them.

The Xbox is completely capable of doing that hence the no dlc for assassins creed 2
As its on the disc
And the beauty of a season pass ismit is only 128 kB so easily fits on the disc and then all doc is free and no code

so i was right :D ! the steelbook did hold 4 discs, i assume the ps3 steelbook the same except the size.
EDIT: oh my god, its actually 6 holder lol damn file that under (its 5 in the morning and i just woke up) didn't see clearly the extra middle holder :p
but you can say its basically designed to hold 4 which interests me, the extra holder because its Dvds and cause of AC3 being the first game to have 2 discs on the xbox.

same here, thats the usefulness of a G1 size :) most centre holders are removable which gives you the opportunity to add a custom one instead of 6 it holds 8 discs ! :D

Also the center divider/ disc holder is the standard type
As you can see I remover in in the last pic
So its possible to change it up for a 4 disc holder making this possibly an 8 disc case
And seeing as there are a lot more assassins creed games to come I might need to buy a second case
As I don't think they'll release an anthology volume 2 for game ac4-10
I'll contact there product design department and set this idea in motion
