NeatherRealm are great to their customers. I believe the Mortal Kombat 9 collectors edition at game was for 50pounds. This I reckon wouldn't be that much more. Maybe 70pounds-ish but its a great edition

There is no censored copy of MK9, as you probably know it wasn't released here, only way to get it is import only. Definately worth picking up, it's region free so either the US or UK version will work here. It shits all over Deception in all areas and IMO it has the best story mode in a fighter ever.

The fighting is very fluid but it's different style of fighter compared to DoA. MK is on a 2D plane vs 3D for DoA.

If you want a stiff fighter, get Tekken. :P

Besides the steelbook, the UK/EU/AUS get a better statue. I wouldn't worry too much about the game being PAL, most likely it'll be region free (360). :v:

I've decided to get the US edition from GameStop because of the Red Son pack they offer. I can just get the UK statue and steelbook later. It would probably cost me at least $50 more to get the UK edition shipped. I know people are going to go nuts and want $100 for the statue or more and $40 or more for the steel.

They are doing right by this game as far as collectables that is for sure.

Statue looks like good quality (but you never know until you get it... ICAP Drake/inFAMOUS).

People will be trying to get all the other secondary pre-order items as you can only choose one, that is like fuel to a collectors flame.

Also that red steel looks like the best one to me, if I collected steels or like fighting games at all. Tried the demo it was "meh"... but I say that about all fighting games.

I don't think anyone knows officially until the game's release, but going by Mortal Kombat (closest comparison) it was region free so it's better than normal odds that Injustice will be also. Online play won't be affected and neither will DLC.

If you want a CE, I'd get a preorder in and in the slight chance it's region locked, just sell off the game separately.

I quite strongly believe G2 steels are a better proportion for art and look better but I would say you would probably prefer the xbox version as the g1 steel will go with your other G1 steels better

Statue is a bit meh to me, Wonder Woman's boots are painted pretty bad, and I'm not sure if its meant to be "battle damaged" but my Batman's cape and Wonder Woman's leg seems scuffed in places.

For me, this is one of my favourite statues from a game - not only am I a big comic book fan anyway, but the colouring and detail of the model is really nice for the price. I think from a detail point of view, the likes of Assassin's Creed wins out as those figures tend to be of a high calibre, but for me this statue has more to it every time I look at it - from the texture on the clothing, to the nice metallic paint, it's just all around a nice quality item!

I agree with TMM - the euro/aus version is highly detailed: you only have to look at the patterns on the red part of Wonder Woman's chest piece. Overall I'm happy with the presentation: You can see the actual statue from inside the box unlike the US version and it came with a real comic book instead of a digital one. Not bad for an extra $30 AUS.

It sucks for someone like me who wants both! :) I do prefer the UK (European?) Version of the statue which is what I have, but I want both! :)

I agree, I have bought collector's editions before and thought 'wtf is that?' - Alone in the Dark on 360 springs to mind with the main character figurine which was terrible!

The injustice figure is made from a hard plastic but with rubber elements (Batman's cape is a rubber material) so the 2 combine to form a nice finish, but it's the paint that really makes the statue pop - that metallic/shiney finish is superb especially with the detail moulded into the model - a great example as stated above is Wonder Woman's top, it has a pattern to it that, whilst simple, really stands out thanks to the paint and the talent of the artist. Excellent figurine and I am very pleased with it.

I may be looking to get the European version of this CE (for the statue and another steelbook) is there anyone who might be interested in the statue (and box etc.) from the US version? Or maybe helping me import the UK one? I'm not sure if the games themselves are region-free but figured maybe we could "swap" versions if someone in the UK area is able to pick up that CE but looking for the US one?

I'm thinking this may be more cost-effective than just buying it on amazon or amazon.uk.

I'll defer to your expertise good sir, but when I ordered it from the US amazon it was ~$185, when I selected it from Amazon.UK it was ~$150. The US version is $99 at my local retail store (or Amazon).

From all the pictures and reviews i have seen the statue looks pretty awesome and looks to have a really good quality and detail to it. I am not sure about feel and material but it looks good and that is a good starting point.

I also watched the whole movie of cut-scenes on YouTube (as I am not good at fighting games and they frustrate me to no end). Pretty awesome story if you ask me... best one for a fighting game in a long time or ever.

I didn't say anything about the fighting except to say I don't like fighting games... I said I like the story and I said it is one of the best stories I have seen in a fighting game.
