hi everyone, the name is Tareq am 26 from bahrain (MiddleEast)
been wandering around here for awhile and its only fair that you guys know more about me so here's a bit about me.
been a gamer since i was a kid with arcades and sega mega drive system and of course had to start with NES early 90s.
am a die hard fan and a collector of MGS series since 1997.
am generally a Sony guy so i was excited for the ps3 and of course MGS4, the reason i started collecting other ps3 CEs was a very weirdo kinda reason and never told anyone about it,started with resistance 2 before it was released i usually had a mix of region1 and 2 games, i always liked the looks of region 1 packshot had better design and colours well for some games like sony exclusives i always buy region 1 for sony published games other games had better region 2 designs like MGS4 and Farcry 2 but when resistance 2 released i saw the standard region 1 packshot and it was ugly and the only way to get the nicer packshot is to buy region 2 but i didnt want to break the pattern of my sony region 1 games so i had to borrow money to buy my first CE other than MGS4 only to get a better packshot of the game case lol on the side note my collecting pattern got broken a couples of times now starting with infmous se heavy le and resistance 3 se but it doesn't matter anymore i guess with some games depends on publisher still on region 1 a few exceptions for region 2 mostly CEs.
slowly i started loving the extras in these CEs like the making of discs, artbook and figures and sometimes the packaging, i do not tear down/remove the original factory plastic wrap like most people do i only cut through 3 corners of the plastic wrap to make an access to the contens and then seal it again with tape sometimes i double seal if the CE is valuable to me.
even though i work in a video games shop with my friend, buying CEs here in bahrain is very expensive and sometimes if not all the times cant find what am looking for nowadays due to region exclusiveness, thats one of the reasons i came to the site not only the members here are very much into collecting and have awesome collections but because the knowledge the people here provides which i appreciate and admire, there is alot i didnt know before i found the forums and am greatful.
Thank you everyone for making CE.org a true place for collectors and gamers.

Note: i will post pictures of my collection when its ready i guess or when its actually worth taking pictures of :p most of my room is a mess and dont have enough space to display them properly as i also like keeping them intact with only removing the game discs :)
