IGN also mentioned that Ubisoft gave them a signed copy of this collector's edition as well as a copy of the Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel. They're planning to give both away to one very lucky Splinter Cell-slash-IGN fan.

Ye I was thinking that too. I was going to get the silver one of uplay as that's the only place you can get it from. One question for anyone. Uplay wants my card for the order even though they won't charge it Yet but my card runs out in July and the game does not release till August. They will have sold out by then. Will they accept my card for the order even though it expired. I can't find anywhere on the site were you would be able to
Change the card? Will there be a button on the order forme to change it when my new card arrives like GAME orders? Sorry for asking all these questions I've never bought anything from uplay before

I'm extremely upset that Ubisoft has consistently neglected the NA scene with Special Editions.

They've got 3 high rollers going right now: SC:BL, AC4:BF, and WATCH_DOGS.
All the editions I'm wanting are only available in other countries. I plan on buying the WATCH_DOG Dedsec for PC from Game. Don't really plan on buying AC4... But I was really upset when I saw the Silver Edition of The 5th Freedom was from UK Uplay only.

I know they're not going to make anything for NA too. People have anticipated it for the last 7 releases of Ubisoft titles and they've yet to pull through. The RC Plane is very nice but that's an extremely niche Collectors Edition. If it were a model plane only and not RC, I may get it. But the fact it's RC makes me feel like it'd go to waste if I didn't enjoy it as an RC piece. I've never been into RC planes, boats, or cars. This kinda just shuts me out. :/

The one sold separately states "Desert Camo Suit". Then the statue that comes in the 5th Freedom Edition looks to be of a different suit, darker. Anyone can confirm there are 2 variants?

there is no problem playing any ps3 disc on your ps3 if you are using a HDMI. I have no problem playing NTSC and PAL on my TV.

Oh I know how that works. Recently they have been playing it safer and only receiving pre-orders.

But there is always one or two that get cancelled.
And the ones that buy multiples in hopes to sell for profit (and return them right before 30 days when they can't)

So there is always a way.

All in all, I think it's quite a good CE! The box is very sturdy, and has a slot where the steelbook tightly fits into. The figure is a bit lightweight, but is still quite cool. I'm very happy I got it!

I agree, figure could've been a bit better (I think it's the base it's standing on that makes it look quite cheap). But I still think it's quite a good CE.
