I'm really exited about this game and I'm hopeful the devs make a great game and not some mixed up mess.

Also tried the gameplay for myself. Its rather similar to Heavy Rain, but not quite. There will be no QTE eg multiple button presses, but rather, if you are controlling Jolie, you move with L stick, and perform actions with a single direction push of the right stick. Occasionally you need to shake the dualshock for certain actions. When activating Aidan, you basically move both sticks in certain directions depending on situation.

David Cage also gave a thorough introduction of the game.

There will be multiple paths (and presumably multiple endings). One big difference between Heavy Rain and Beyond is that in Beyond, each sequence will be unique and nothing is repeated. There will be varying environments with different sizes, some can be huge and you have quite some freedom to explore.

iOS and Android touch devices are supported for the first time in a video game console, replacing the controller fully. Yes, you can play the full game with a touch device, but you have to download an app first.

Unfortunately this game seems to handle like I expected... so it is not a game I will be able to play. I could not even watch Heavy Rain. I am sure it was great but those quirky controls are just not for me.

Yea I was little turned off by the controls at first, but when I played it at the event, it was ok. I love a good story so I will be getting this after all the good reviews on Heavy Rain. Might even pick up Heavy Rain sometime.

Heavy Rain made it clear with arrows and button icons while Beyond just has dots all over the place. This makes certain scenes that require quick timing to be very annoying.

The second issue I have with is with the story (again no spoilers), which I found very obvious that certain scenes and locations were picked mainly for "cool action scene purposes" and overall felt very forced with the story.

Now that's the kind of bitching I like Mr StayFree has his hands on the game and can give a good opinion on what's what. me thinks they made the dot system just to divorce them selfs from Heavy Rain. If they did like HR them people would be bitching it's the same and to easy to play. I could be wrong! The real goal is to sell the game and they are not doing to bad at the moment, I may be wrong... there too but it seems to me they my just get over the line. Gaming is not like when HR came out there are so many after your coin your wallet can't keep up these days.
Like Mr comaamen86 had a go at the demo did not like it that's the risk with demos had a go with the Battlefield 4 demo and I liked the game controls in that very smooth.

The steelbook of the North American Version looks like a stickerbook and is a little bit different then the european version and got an inside artwork.

Yes the preorder items were a pain to get and overall many people who preordered got screwed over due to shortages.

The box itself is huge. The height is maybe 30cm or so.

i realised that the director's edition has everything the press kit has:
mini photo film, hard cover full sized art book in a sleeve. the only thing different is that the press kit had a numbered folder holding everything, whist the CE had a printed box holding the stuff with the game....

I think the pre order stuff was way too short at the launch that many of the customers who pre ordered it couldn't get hold of the bonus stuff due to short supplies.

And Yes like any other PS3 Games this one is too Region Free ;)
