Thought some people might not have seen this although most movie steel collectors are probably well aware

http://www.technologytell.com/hometech/91708/steelbook-changes-viva-to-muerte-with-court-order/

Basically US court has banned sale, distribution and production of Viva metalpaks in the US as it violated steelbook patents

I for one an happy as now EA can't give me a metalpak but give Europe a steelbook ME3 anyone?

Apparently a lot of movie steel collectors were upset because metalpaks had good designs? I've never seen one for VGs I wouldn't rather have in a steel

By the way I know this was back in January :P

What is the difference?
I am having trouble finding a comparison in pictures not words

It was the Viva Metalpacks that were banned. Star Metalpaks are different so the danger of getting those is still there. :pooryou:

I've prefer steelbooks anyway but you have to feel sorry for the guys that collect metal packs.

Its a bit silly if you ask me,don't have the American courts have anything better to do? I can certainly think of a few things.
