Okay, I know I don't really need to do an "intro" as such, since I've been here for like... forever, and most of you will know me, but here's a little intro anyway, just incase :)

My name is Vanessa, more commonly known as V. I'm addicted to collecting. Trying (as of this week) to slow down a little, and stop myself from feeling so angry/sad when I miss out on things, since I'm getting out of control :rotf:. I'm 20 years old, 21 in July. I live in Glasgow with my boyfriend (Allan) and our son, AJ. Allan is also a collector, he's actually the one who got me into collecting (although he has lost the bug a bit now, since I'm so OTT with it all :sorry:). I've been collecting since around May 2011, starting properly in June 2011 (since that's when I signed up here and all of the CEs I'd previously never heard of, were revealed to me! Allan had been collecting for maybe 6 months to a year prior to me starting to collect, although he never really amassed much in that time (since he didn't really try). Think that's all you really need to know! :beer:

I've been working hard at photographing my entire collection for a while now, and it has been proving to be a mighty difficult task. I've got a lot of it photographed now, so have decided to open my intro thread!

There are still MANY more images that have yet to be taken though, so this thread will be continually updated as and when the photographs are taken/edited.

Also, I am taking photos of everything included within every edition, etc that I own, however, due to the forums 30 image per post limit, I will only include one pic of each thing on here, and then once I do a post on my site of a particular CE/steelbook, etc - I will put a link to that post underneath the image it relates to :)

Surelthe meant the melted super Mario land for gameboy that looks bootlegged but not labelled as such and the other bootlegs, c'mon v collectors are meant to be anti piracy and therefore anti pirates, hehe

Yeah, it's an absolute nightmare. I've not got too many CEs left to photograph, I hope. I've got tonnes more pics already uploaded and edited, just haven't posted them here yet (as it took long enough last night just with the ones I've put on already!). So I'll get another batch up today.

I'm also not only taking one single shot of each item, I take at least 3 different pics of everything (not including double shots when I mess up the first one). This includes for standard copy games, etc. The only things I only took one pic of were the unboxed gameboy/Sega master system games, since those only really need a front shot.

Hoping that I'll manage to take another batch of pics today, and then work through them, picking the best ones, crop them, etc and get them on here. A few pics of things are blurry, so will replace those eventually (when I can be arsed :haha:). I was also working on a database to catalogue them all. Was around 500 items in when my laptop died and I've now lost it all.

Getting a new laptop in July for my 21st though, so will restart the database then :) xx

I'll be uploading another batch of photos tomorrow (hopefully), but after that, my updates will slow down a little, unfortunately. One of the heaters in my house has packed in, so now I am having to use the other one (which was previously always off, as well as being right where I take my photos).

So, obviously, now that the heater is in use, I can't have a big sheet hanging over it to take my photos, so until the first heater is fixed, my updates will be smaller, so I don't run out of stuff to post too quickly, before I can get anything else photographed xx

Well, my lack of updates isn't surprising at all :rotf:

I'm hoping to have a new "photography corner" set up soon, as we've moved some things around within the collection, bought a new set of shelves, and gained a TLOU vending machine standee to put all of our PS3 games in (not that we have many...)

I will either update this thread, or get this one deleted to make a new one, but I think if I'm doing a new thread, then I'll wait until the majority of my things are photographed, so that my updates don't bomb like this one has :haha:

Yeah, the vending machine thing is awesome. I thought I wasn't gonna get it. I regularly ask my local GAME stores if they have any goodies for me, and one of them had this last week, but when I went over on Friday, they said it wouldn't fit in a car, so I had to leave without it :( But I messaged them later that night and asked if they could hold it till Monday for me (as they were planning on binning it) they said yes, and when I went over, luckily we managed to make it fit (albeit we looked ridiculous driving with it haha) xx
