Greetings CE fans! I've been lurking long enough and figured I'd just give my complements to the great community that's here and go ahead and add my name to the ranks!

First off let me say: I'm a huge Suikoden fan, Zelda fan, Metroid fan (and Nintendo fan in general). While I don't have the funds to have as great of a collection as some, I try to find good deals (Thank God for patience!) - but if you run across any rare-er items please feel free to let me know as I try to keep some set aside for just such an occasion!

Beyond my Zelda collection though, I'm a huge Mass Effect & Assassin's Creed fan - though I don't go all crazy-like buying everything for those franchises (a man's gotta eat right?). I also have recently been taken by the new Tomb Raider reboot and have been trying to get my hands on all things pertaining to that (for my bro too!)! I was a late-comer to the Halo series, but I've been collecting those too! I've got quite a few Xbox 360 CEs that I've amassed over the years (nothing as rare as some I've seen on here) - but like I'm sure everyone else here - I've got a fever, and cowbell isn't going to cut it!

I got rid of nearly my entire retro collection years ago, but there's a few things I've still got in storage that somehow survived by living at my mom's or elsewhere. I'll post those items when I get around to unpacking/finding them all. In the meantime, here's a list of what I've currently got where I'm living now - I've uploaded photos of new additions later in the thread (starting on page 4) but will replace this first post with some pics of everything eventually.

I'll have to snap some photos when I get a chance, but for now just thought I'd "say hello" and ramble off a few things that I know I've got in the basement!

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

I recently (well a few months ago) moved and a majority of stuff is still in bins in the basement, but I'll snap some photos tonight of the things that are up in my office.

All my old-school/rare SNES/SegaCD/Sega/PSX Games & Guides that I still have have been in storage for quite awhile so it may be a little longer for those shots.

The real trick will be keeping the cat out of the office long enough to take all the pics haha! (Luckily I've got a display case to eventually be used for all the things that I don't want her near!)

After seeing it on here, I went on the search for and just picked up a Tales of Vesperia Special Edition (they also had ME1 CE so I snagged that) for a total of $80 (including shipping). Looks to be mint/near-mint. Will be on their way tomorrow!

Also, regarding photos, I took a bunch of them while in my basement the other day but they're pretty shoddy, especially after looking through some of the other collections on here - I'll spend some time next? weekend placing collections together some place nicer than on top of my workbench ;)

Crazy timing actually - I'm literally RIGHT THIS MINUTE trying to search through all my emails to find out what my login is (and for which site) that I used for my image-hosting. Last night I moved the vast majority of my collection out of the soon-to-be-nursery (formerly the office) and into the basement - realized I'm missing a bunch of things still, so they're probably still packed in boxes (and thus not on this list), but since I'm moving everything I started snapping some photos -- so I wouldn't say you can hold your breath... but they're very soon to be here!!

Yeah, in good condition it usually seems to go for around $75-$100 it seems - I got mine in mint condition for much cheaper though, but I guess putting that weird mousepad thing in the box causes it to bend all sorts of funny ways cuz there's no real easy way to fold it in there -- still haven't gotten the 2nd one, but that seems to go for around ~$35 on Ebay regularly, so I'll pick it up eventually. I'll keep my eye out for you though Jorge!

Yeah that ermm bubbly mouse pad is actually quite hard/impossible to fit back in the box. Although I will say, not to make it sound wrong, but they do work quite well lol.

I'll take some snaps of the box so you can see what I mean but it's REALLY quite distasteful I'd say (at least in my opinion), I've got the thing still in the box he mailed it in cuz it's just over the top in terms of provocativeness, but I AM looking forward to playing the game eventually as I read that all the glamour on this CE is basically false advertising which will be nice as I won't feel "weird" playing this game... I just won't be displaying this box at the forefront of my collection I guess :sorry:

Lol, I do agree that this is so borderline in terms of provocativeness that it's misleading to some people.

The game is actually quite good if you like JRPGS/ turn based stuff.

In my case, I would display it right next to my Catherine CE lol.

Totally not related. Record of Lodoss War was more in line with The Lord of the Rings troupes, while the other one is a traditional jrpg/ date sim type of game... no anime related, except the art design.

Sorry guys -- still no pics. This time of year is always crazy and I just haven't had a chance to adequately light the basement and organize all my *STUFF* yet. I've added some more things to my collection recently, but I know, I know, without pics its not really that great.

I'll have some time for sure come February as I'll be home for a few weeks, but until then every spare moment at home is pretty much already spent working on our nursery for our little guy's big entrance or similar projects!

This just screams "WTF Japan". A lot of the Internet agrees it's one of the weirdest editions Japan has brought over to the west and is one of the rarest CE in the western world. (Which makes PERFECT sense...)

Thanks! I actually haven't opened it yet, but it was WAAAAY lighter than I expected when I picked up the box. I suppose that just makes sense aerodynamically speaking, but still expected a bit more heft to it. I also thought that this thing included a steelbook, but apparently it does not :(

Yeah, that FFXIII-2 cost me only like $8 or something NIB, was a real great deal at that price. Its a very nice CE too, the feel of the box etc. is very smooth/leathery. I was impressed.

If you couldn't tell, I had played that Gameboy game through quite thoroughly back in the day -- but the box and game is still complete and not in too bad condition considering its age. The others are near-mint, especially the OOT box (cuz it was made better than the MM in my opinion)

Thanks Swift! Yeah, I've learned over the years that those boxes have a way of looking like crud when not put behind a plastic box like that - those work perfectly though for GB and N64/SNES games - unfortunately older games like my Chrono Trigger box didn't fare as well without one :(

Sure thing! There's two GS's nearby that have them still, it's just a matter of waiting til they change to a used SKU - I got mine as it was technically "used" as a person bought it new, brought it home, opened the package and realized it was the wrong game so had to trade it in, luckily I was in the right place at the right time ;)

Also, it's been awhile since I got those cases (a few years at least), I think I either got them on eBay or a small collectors store I frequented in one of the bigger cities nearby - but amazon has them on there too I see, these look almost identical -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E70AFOK

Thanks! When I get the chance I'll be doing better staged photos for my favorite CEs just to celebrate the fact I dont keep them all sealed! Yeah, it's funny how that happens - I'm now in line to own the other two FFXIII CEs and I didn't have any desire before as I had given up on the franchise after X. But couldn't pass on that deal for such a nice quality CE. :)

Got it on release day. In fact its absolutely the best one I've ever gotten, I'll be keeping this one for sure... True, it probably cost me all my money -- not just what I have now but all I'll ever have... ever, but my wife is totally okay with that price, so no regrets here.

I've got so many pictures (that was just one of the first days at the hospital, he looks even cuter now I think!), but I'll probably save those for the random thread so this one can stay relatively on topic I guess :)

One is possibly slightly rare-r than anything I've got (limited to only 500 worldwide) so that's pretty cool (though nothing TOO crazy), but I'll post 'em when I get em.

What?! Really? I haven't taken the slip-cover off yet -- I was kind of upset that they changed the format as I loved the look of the first 2 and that they kept with the same format with those two. That makes me a little happier to know if the 3rd one at least kept the simple logo look, but they should've kept it white!

Yeah, even the box and packaging was amazing for the art book - everything was so superbly done. I just haven't been able to remove the plastic seal on it yet cuz it looks so darn good.

And no, Connor hasn't really tried chewing on it...yet. Luckily he's still a bit young to be hanging around all my CEs and stuff downstairs (too cold).

I completely forgot that I didn't take any pics of the Castlevania CE yet either,... I'll add those later tonight!

I wasn't overly impressed with this CE, mainly due to the lack of a decent outer box and the poor quality of the figures (and why advertise Dracula as a 4th and not include him!?). I wasn't too impressed with the artbook either - it seemed to me like a "nice hardcover comic book". I also felt that there should have been SOMETHING else, like a soundtrack or lithograph or something in there, but since I was able to get a good deal with some Amazon.fr credit and all I guess I can't complain too much.

Well, yeah, the more I think about it I guess the Tomb being the box itself isn't all that bad - I'm just used to a "wrapper" or something with the name of the game on the outside. If I put on my "let's be creative" hat, I suppose I can appreciate the CE on that note. Even though I didn't have a huge glowing review on it, I'd still rate it at a 6.5/10 due to it being different, plus it had a steelbook which is more than I can say for Titanfall :)

So rather than have one large update I figured I'd break it up and just put a few things on here now and a few next week. Everything included in this update I got at a real bargain (I felt) and am super happy overall.

I added a few more things to the collection that you'll see below. 1 CE, 1 Laser Cel, and 1 figure. I got my AC4 replacement in the mail from Amazon yesterday and it came in MUCH better condition than the previous one (woohoo!), practically mint! Also, the Super Mario Laser Cel is neat because its in almost a "shadow box" type packaging so there's actual depth to it (though tough to see in the picture).

Also (not included in this update) but I actually added a new Cel Art that I never knew existed to my Suikoden collection too(don't have the retro stuff listed yet or unpacked, but will find it and post later), but didn't take any pictures of it, just got it though and was pretty excited!

I realized the other day that I haven't posted ANY of my updates in quite awhile, and especially after finding some of my retro things and getting several new items I figured it was time to update accordingly.

In this update there's mystery, adventure, hidden characters, fantasy, and, well...cool things! There's a few CEs, some promo materials, several Steelbooks, and some knick-knacks (though I won't be highlighting them specifically as they belong to a series I've yet to display on here). What there is NOT are: llamas, inappropriate workplace comments, and many retro things (at least not yet).

So, per usual I think I've got many of these things at a great bargain. So a big thanks to any of you (especially Maggie and Jorge) for helping me with some of these finds and trades.

Thanks bud! I just realized that only really a few things were even "new" (the rest were oldies I never displayed), but I'll try and get a few more photo shoots with my collection over the next month or so for everyone. I'd like to get the new TR things, my Zelda collection, and my Ps1/Ps2 collection up here soon too since I don't see too many other collections with those around here.

I've seen the Day1 card around a few places (mostly Gamestops and TRUs), but I finally picked one up last month because I ended up having to pay full price for my XBL renewal (no deals at all this year that I saw) so I figured if I was going to do that anyway, I might as well get something for it - thus used a $5 off coupon and got the card & Jago DLC. Still pricier than I would have preferred, but since I was going to have to pay full price for the renewal, it made me feel a bit better! ;)

Thanks! This was probably my most Nintendo-y update since I've been on here I guess. Gotta dig out a few more of them and retake some pictures for the series, but it was fun going through some of my older things. Got a TON more Mario games that weren't included in that and also quite a few more DQ/DW things (though I'm still hunting for minty-mint NES titles as mine are beat). So hopefully I can get those in sooner than later along with other retro updates and such!

Anyone know how rare that Hyrule Warriors CE is by chance? I'm so kicking myself for not getting one. Good additions sir...

Not sure what the going rate for it is now, perhaps less than the $800-$1,000 or so that they were going for after launch, but I was happy to get one for myself and 2 for 2 other forumers on here at the NYC store!

Once I get a day off, I've got to take pictures of some things for some other people and then I can probably try and post some updates around here!

I've already got a lvl32 Hunter and I recently started playing through my Titan again, so I'm sure he'll levelup quickly, but I'll leave my Warlock character alone (just created and maybe did the starting mission) until you get around to playing so we're on more even footing!

Got your PM. My gf and I have been playing the MCC on our One's but we won't be playing Destiny on the one just yet until The Taken King comes out due to how the CE is packaged. I didn't want to buy extra copies.

I have a 34 Titan, 34 Warlock and an ascendable 32 Hunter. I'm part of a clan that does weekly raids and nightfalls if you're interested in joining. We are not consistent due to everyone's schedule but we try to help whenever we can. Let me know if you want to join. :thumb:

Hey there! Not even a small chance I'd sell it haha, but I'm more than happy to let you know where I got it. I purchased it (with the help of a kind UK member here) from ebay.co.uk. It was a pre-order bonus along with a keychain (iirc) that was offered in the UK. It can still be readily found on ebay for fairly cheap. Also, congrats on beating the game! It really was/is such an awesome gem in the series!
