Final Fantasy XIII - Lightning Ultimate Box heading to Japan, Exclusively for the PS3

Today, Square Enix has released its E3 trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, along the game will receive a Limited Ultimate Box Edition in Japan. It is sold exclusively through the Square-Enix Store (http://store.jp.square-enix.com/special/LRff13?sscl=storetop_flash1_130606_LRff13) now for ?26,000 JPY (~ $ 265 USD).

The Ultimate Box is available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and will include the following:


All three games in the Trilogy

Lightning Special Label Stand

Lightning Artworks

Square Enix also announced that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 will launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 across North America on February 11 and across Europe February 14

I think the final fantasy 25th anniversary is not even sold out...I saw it for sale the other day at eurotaku.com or yamato-touch.com...just wait for the hype to die down on these things...the ff 25th was also square enix only...and it showed up for sale on majority of the big japan sites...and like I said if 25th ff is still available..most likely this will be as well.

Special PS3 controller manufactured by HORI offers red metallic top-side with the Lightning Returns logo in white placed in the center and turbo settings.

The controller is scheduled to release on November 21st, 2013 - The same day the game comes out in Japan.

they said the same thing about FF 25TH anniversary saying things like ONLY ONE PER HOUSEHOLD from the SE Japan website...also same thing with the original japan release of the yellow pokemon 3ds..it was suppose to be ultra exclusive only at designated japan pokemon centers and you had to be in a lottery merely to have the right to purchase one...look at what happened to that yellow 3ds and like I said FF 25th set is still available for sale at some Japanese forwarder sites etc...the hype dies down..the product is off loaded or reprinted, or made in thousands.

I had to pay via PayPal as it would accept my credit card too. Hopefully the conversion rate will be kind to me when they money goes out as it'll be in Yen. (33,310 with Fedex shipping).

I'll never understand the logic of these things. Why does Squaresoft constantly screw over the rest of the world? They're only screwing themselves out of sales. I'm still pissed I had to buy a japanese PS2 to play FFX International, EVEN THOUGH BOTH TEXT AND VOICE WERE ENGLISH ANYWAY! There's no sense in it. They don't get a cut of console sales (that i'm aware), so what was the point of even region locking it? I know that's not an issue with PS3, but it's still an issue with Xbox despite the same titles being released on both. Goddamn stupid publishers.

Any chance we'll be seeing that Hori controller state side? I can't tell from the pics if it's the same size/triggers as the shit official controllers or if it's improved.
