Hey guys just hunted down this site and figured its probably the best place to find an accurate answer.

I have one of the silver zelda phantom hourglass ds lites that were limited to 1000 units. Its all complete in its box and its just been sitting in my wardrobe since i got it off ebay 4 or so years ago. I was just wondering if anyone has a rough idea how much on would be worth? ive been looking around for a while now but the only ones i see on ebay are just the ds itself and without the box it makes it hard to know which are real and which aren't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just looking to get some more funds for my nes/snes/mega drive collection and ive got a few nintendo & zelda items that are just collecting dust which im hoping to clear out soon just wanting to work out fair prices before i pop them up for sale

edit: also super sorry if this is in the wrong forum section seemed to fit best at first glance haha

i would say around US $1,000 if complete, in very nice condition, and in the box in top shape.

Possibly but very hard to say as ones with the box so rarely become available. Realistically you should get at least $700 if complete and pristine box

Hello I wonder if someone can help me authenticate this Limited edition Zelda console I bought from eBay. it is in quite bad condition with a lot of the image rubbed off. Here is a couple pictures:

Also here is another thread on here which makes me believe it is possibly legit. http://collectorsedition.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15088

It also has a bottom faulty screen which I will fix. I got it for £25 with the phantom hourglass game and a charger.

if you don't have the box, keep in mind there's several counterfiets all over ebay etc...anyone can take a standard silver ds, and imprint that picture on it...especailly since yours is worn down...it makes it even harder..i would try to maybe see if product upc or serial codes can assist?

Hello, thanks for your insight. I did a UPC lookup but found nothing. How can I check with serial codes?

I also emailed Nintendo so hopefully they will know.

Yours does look genuine, even with the faded artwork. In my lifetime I've owned 3 of these and I can say that it does look like the real deal. I was actually going to bid on that because it seemed cheap, but the seller ended the auction. You got a good deal there the phantom hourglass game costs about £15 so you basically got the console for £10 :P

Hello what is it that makes you think it's genuine? Is it The art work?

The thing that throws me off is it has a warranty sticker covering the top left screw on the back, which I have rarely seen on any DS before. Did your three have the same sticker?

Thanks :)

Yes, the artwork does make me think it's genuine or at least the top part is.As for the warranty sticker mine doesn't have that, but this could indicate that it has been previously repaired so it's nothing serious.

i'm sorry..but i find it hard to believe that artwork from a first rate company like Nintendo would just "smudge" right off like that..but the original silver paint remains intact..companies like Nintendo i'm sure would use a superior method of inlays and artwork using heat treated methods etc..only counterfiet knockoffs would have the artwork smeared off like that from typical game use...there are a lot of knock off's of this design, that originate from China...you don't have the box?...i would doubt the authenticity..however,...if there are reputable owners..who have theirs in similiar condition..like on zelda forums etc..then maybe this is a possibility..but i don't believe Nintendo would use "cheap tactics"..when it came to art work on their consoles.

Hi, one of the zelda ds lites I owned had faded artwork and came with its original box, so I would assume that with regular use the artwork fades.
Here are some pictures of the console:
