The Steelbook case version of the PS3 racer will include various digital extras, including in-game credits and special in-game liveries.

In addition, SCE has confirmed that pre-order customers will receive specially designed 15th Anniversary vehicles.

Gran Turismo 6 will feature over 1,200 cars, 33 locations and a new course maker.

The latest in the Gran Turismo series is set for release this November on PS3, while Gran Turismo 6 for PS4 is said to be under consideration.


The Anniversary Edition includes:

Special Polyphony designed 15th Anniversary Steelbook (what you see here is not the final pack design)
GT6 game
1M in-game credits
20 cars with special 15th Anniversary custom livery and performance enhancement
Custom paint chips, custom race suit, custom race helmet and custom avatars

I think the US will NOT get a steelbook edition, because gamestop usa has the anniversary upgrade as an exclusive..everything is identical as in digital content..but no steelbook mentioned..plus I doubt there will be one as the price is the standard $60.

it does i was half tempted to cancel as it is 69.99 here but the art sealed it for me looks nice like the whole sony cool blue theme at the moment

cod is and has always been a cash cow its justifiable personally as i would of bought the dlc and like a steelbook so 90 is ok

as for gran turismo 6 there are three ways of looking at

dont like it or even half on the fence. dont buy it simple

like it but not the price, get it if you can budget for it and forget the price the amount of times people chase things on here for double or triple because they turned there nose up at launch price
you can be content knowing you only ever paid what was asked for at rrp and you get to enjoy it on release

If any one is curious from my understanding only the anniversary edition comes with the slip case while the collectors pack comes with the same content the games and book just don't have the slip case of the anniversary edition.

Still debating whether to get myself the steelbook or not. :think: I don't use PSN, so I can't justify the extra 25 quid just for the steelbook. >.< Especially since I just got Forza which I haven't played all that much either. >.< Can see local stores having extras knocking around after Christmas. Will see if I can get a cheap one in the new year.

Bah, while we're talking GT6, what's the deal with this extortionate in game purchases crap!? >.< Kind of annoying to have paid for a game and then have to pay even more to get the most out of it. If Forza is anything to go by, the races won't give you enough cash to make it even remotely worth getting the most expensive vehicles in the game. :( It's sad to see games going this way. :(

News outlets are saying payouts are no different to GT5. More of an optional accessibility thing than pay to win. We forget how mainstream GT is.
