Hi everyone, brand new user here. As I was looking to put up my 2 signed figures of Altair from Assassin's Creed on eBay, I found this forum, and noticed there was already some topics on those figures.

I thought some of you might be interested in a signed boxed copy of each figure. Both were signed by Patrice D?silets and Jade Raymond. Due to the high price of the item, and that it's signed, I wasn't sure what to ask for (especially for the crouched Altair which seems much rarer), so I started the bid at $1.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. I can provide more pictures, as well as more selling feedback (from the http://shmups.system11.org/ and http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/ forums).

I saw these and well
The crouching Altair has been reaching prices above 1300 euro in the past few weeks
Which is wat out of my price range
But you should be able to reach that sort of price for it

How did you get my girlfriend to sign those for you? She never told me about this.

Yeah, I'm hopeful that it will reach at least as much as the one on eBay that's about to finish (it's at 1410 EUR right now). Really, I never had any intention of selling it. I love that thing. But seeing how much unsigned ones were fetching, I thought it was silly for me to hold on to it. When I bought it, I had no idea that they made so few of them.

You can't be serious?

I seriously doubt he is.

Ok, I read that it was 100, which I thought was very low. 1000 makes more sense. But still, out of those 1000, I doubt that more than 2 have both Patrice and Jade's signature.

Ah, so that confirms it. Thanks!

The part ''This was made for Ubisoft VIPs only so was not sold'' explains why it's scarce. It's likely that only employees had access to them. Most of them more than likely didn't keep the box either.

Sorry guys
There was a limited amount sold on and by extra life.es
But the exact number is not known
extra life.es acquired them from UBisoft and not from first4gigures the statue maker

I hope it ends high enough. I really wanted to keep them, but I'm not rich enough to pass up this opportunity.

Seriously, when I asked Patrice and Jade to sign them, I didn't intent on ever parting with the figures. For the longest time, I thought that the most it could sell for was around $150-200. I never kept up with crouched figure pricing. If I do manage to hit a closing price in the same ballpark as that last one on eBay, I'll be happy. There's been lots of bids, but it hasn't gone up by much. The other on eBay broke the $1000 barrier within the first day. I'm starting to think that maybe I should've gone with a Buy it now instead. This being even rarer than a regular one, I wasn't sure what kind of price to ask for.

You can always add a reserve price if your worried about it reaching a certain value
And in the world of eBay, its a very volatile market
Probably better to add a reserve price

I just checked and it looks like the fight has began with 6d left still :)

I probably should have, but once someone has bid on it, it's too late to add a reserve. eBay won't let you.

Indeed, it got a good bump yesterday evening. I hope the two highest bidder duke it out :D

Maybe eBay users are waiting until the last few hours to bid, but it doesn't look like that crouching Altair will top that last one that sold on eBay. Maybe a buy it now on this one would be a better way to go. I know it's still a high price, but considering that I have about $130 in fees, about $200 for shipping overseas (yes, shipping overseas from Canada with tracking, insurance cost about that), it's really far from the price that other one sold for.

I'm sure it'll get plenty of bids in the last few seconds.

Sorry if there was anyone from here bidding on it, but I ended the auction early as the highest bidder on both of them retracted his bids. So close to the end of the auction, I can't say that was nice of him (I guess it's better than waiting until the listing ended).

So they're both re-listed as buy it now (with the option of best offers). I tried to set my prices on the last few that sold, while keeping in mind that these are signed.

I guess it's possible that auction style could've gotten me a better price (didn't one crouched Altair sold at 5k?), anyway, with a buy it now I at least now it won't sell for what it was at when I ended it (which was around $700).
