After getting back the money, they for some reason kept me on their blacklist, which I later found out was not uncommon. I work at a Gamestop myself. While no company is perfect, sometimes I just don't understand the hatred for GameStop. Yes there are some stuff about GameStop that I dislike too. But not most of it is bad.

I preordered my copy of the Game of the Generation edition the moment it went live in store. I had my coworker rang me up. And I haven't receive a cancellation email yet. But I'll keep you guys updated.

Really/ is it that bad over there for Gametop? i'll admit gamestop are not my preferred cup of tea atm, but i will getoverit, and that will pass. EB Games here in NZ are well enough liked. Sure they go thru a hell of a lot of GOOD staff and they are mostly good, friendly, helpful folk, but they don't seem to treat them the best from what I see and hear because they leave;you get to know them and then they gone, otherwise these folk would not be getting snapped up by other retail outlets that need such folk.

It took them over a week to list the product even after EB Canada had it, and now this. So I rilly still want this SR4 GotGedition but I'm transfering my love and want points to Arkham origins new CE(with Joker sitting with 20 TVs behind him statue. I think people hate Gamestop because mostly when you trade in a brand new game that you just finished playing. Let say GTA5, you might get $15 or $20 in store credit if you're a member at GameStop. Then they turn it around and sale that copy for $55.

Most people are like WTF?!

But what most people don't understand is that GameStop is a retailer and is also technically a pawn shop. (That what my boss told me, and he is not a bad manager either. He's definitely the best boss I ever had.)

Since GameStop is a pawn shop of course like with any other pawnshop they'll actually give you less money and charge more for a profit. That's just the way things work.

That why I keep most of my games, I only trade in the ones I hated and only when they're promotion like 50% extra in store credit.

Normally GameStop doesn't oversold but it happen. I shop at amazon and it happened to be once before. Same with Best Buy.

Yes, we are aware that it is an inventory issue. Why have you deleted my prorder? What system are you using to decide whom gets their order and whom gets kikked? I know that Gamestop staff are not being removed from the waiting list for example. those that want the edition(and I agree that it should be a perk for staff members that they should have first divvies on availabilities of buying product, the staff there in US and here at EB in N.Z. are for the most part are good, honest, kind, hard workers and should have perks and be looked after in this amongst other ways by the company), but like I said, I placed my order within hours of it going live onsite. You would have had stock still by then, esp given that over a week later(a day before u kikked me from the queue)one could still preorder the game,I checked you see), So again, why was I removed when I preordered the edition(at a huge p+p profit to Gamestop as well)virtually as soon as you had it go live onsite? I think you are allowing those whom preordered after me to get theirs when it should be a first come first serve situation which is logically more fair and is common practice not to mention common sense. yeah, it's hit or miss. I wouldn't recommend them if you want the box to be mint as they don't exactly cater to collectors. The best option is ordering in store pick-up via GS or BB. The last item I had shipped from amazon was the collectors edition for Tomb Raider. The box it arrived in was far larger than the tin and all it had for padding was a single air pack.

I'm actually very glad Gamestop cancelled my order. Only having 5000 in existence is pretty cool. But everything except for the display case and cloth and packing is included in the mass produced Wub Wub edition.

The materials don't seem to be all that amazing, and while it's cool that the GotG edition does come in it's own packaging, as opposed to getting the Wub Wub edition packaging with the display case in a seperate box, the unique GotG packaging is a flimsy cardboard box with everything held inside with clear plastic.

Pretty lame IMHO. Comparing this with the Dead Space 3 Dev-team edition, which was ALSO limited to 5,000 BTW, the Dev edition had much, MUCH higher quality contents. Even if it was missing the actual game

I completely agree that collectors editions should be limited to 5,000 or less. These mass produced collectors editions drop in price so much it's appalling!!! And usually since there are so many collectors editions made, the quality of the contents suffer.

I honestly think the quality of the contents suffered on this GotG edition because it's essentially a glorified Wub Wub edition. When a company decides to create another collectors edition, they need to make it unique and different than the other ones it has coming out.

Volition, or whoever created this edition, should have said "lets create an all new edition of SR4 and have it limited to 5,000 worldwide. They needed to create the edition from scratch. (Or at least have enough unique items created and added to this edition to make it unique from the Wub Wub edition.)

Instead what they did was take the Wub Wub edition's contents and added in a numbered display case,cloth, and unique cardboard box and limited THAT to 5,000.

So in essence this edition is VERY misleading, because it's the display case, cloth and box that's limited to 5,000 and not really the whole edition itself...

The GotG edition was a no-brainer for me. As a DJ I just HAD to have that dubstep gun. Easy sell on their part.

Confirmed nothing numbered visible from the packaging. Also, not shrink-wrapped, so presumably the only thing keeping you from peeking is the little round sticker over the flap to open the box....

Personally I think the contents are fine for the money

The display case is quite good actually although I have doubts the motor would last under heavy use

Button is my 2nd favorite part

Statue is fine for what it is and well the gun is the gun

It looks plasticky but feels good when you hold it

My biggest complaint is the numbering/limitedness followed by the weak cardboard but there's another strong cardboard box behind that so contents are good

Mine finally came in from Amazon. Boxed was bashed up which was to be expected. I gotta say, I'm really happy with the display case. The quality is much better than I expected. Someone posted earlier that the motor for the rotating display was somewhat noisy, which had me worried. I personally didn't have this issue at all. If anything, it's incredibly quiet.

Sadly, the doomsday button I received is completely defective. Swapping out the batteries didn't seem to help. After a quick call to Amazon I now have a replacement coming in with 1-day shipping. Why can't all online retailers be like amazon?
