Bluecanvas recognizes and appreciates the tremendous passion that people have for Journey and subsequently, The Art of Journey. The 1st edition print was limited to 5,000 copies, but due to overwhelming demand and our desire to provide quality art products to art lovers, we have been working diligently to secure a 2nd edition printing in an effort to make the book available to more people.

Our goal is to get a new printing available to consumers this holiday season. We have started an email list for interested parties to subscribe for information regarding this release. I cherish my first printing, went through hell and back with getting a mint copy since the first one they shipped me was damaged.

It's real. BlueCanvas hasn't advertised this widely yet. There's a link there at the top of the thread to sign up to be notified when the book will be made available. That link there is for a page that was set up by BlueCanvas.

Do they mean they are like trying to get the rights for a reprint? or is has this been already treated and they are already working on the reprint?

Ever since the 1st edition books sold out, The Art of Journey has been widely requested. We immediately knew that there needed to be more produced, and it's finally coming! The 2nd edition copy has some minor typographical updates and is branded as a 2nd edition copy, but widely remains unchanged from the popular original. Journey? Art Director, Matthew Nava, will be back to sign the first 500 preorders for the amazing fans of Journey. You can preorder your copy today. Books are scheduled to begin shipping November 25th.

From what I've seen there nowhere in the book where it actually says 2nd print or something like that so I'm really not sure to how they're different from the 1st release I actually have a feeling they're exactly the same as the 1st print

You should see a line of numbers that looks like ....5 4 3 2 in the second printing. The first printing would look like ....5 4 3 2 1 by comparison. So the "1" is missing in the number line in the second printing if it's been done properly.

On the inside of the book, on like the first page with writing (the one with all the copyright crap) it says Second Printing :)
