You can pre-order today for no down payment at gamestop.com or you can pre-order them in store tomorrow at gamestop (should be able to. Will require a down payment). The Pikachu ones sold out fast so hurry!

these look nice..but for western markets..does Nintendo really release true limited editions? or are they maybe 25-50% of a normal production run?..you had mentioned the yellow one "sold out fast" and we need to "hurry"..but the yellow one in my part of the US..was available for many weeks in stores and on-line at some retailers...thank you by the way for sharing the pic..it is one of the nicest 3ds releases as of yet..but please don't buy 2 of them for the sake of investing in a rare piece..rare they are not..what are rare are the 3ds that Nintendo made for only Europe and japan contests that could only be won...like the peach princess pink 3ds or the Mario 3ds etc.

In my area of the US the pikachu 3DS systems sold out instantly. Everywhere.
Now it says they are limited consoles. Same as the Zelda and fire emblem ones we got over here. They are not regular run size therefore, imo, limited. And I am buying one for me and one for the boyfriend.
If I like them then why shouldnt I buy them?

i would get a blue one from the us if they shipped to me, though it would probably cost the 50 i would save :(

Yeap :( I think it will cost at least 35 for shipping from gamestop. 235 with added conversion it will be cheaper to get locally T_T.
I can't believe importing is more expensive than buying locally. How the world has changed. Even ozgameshop is pumping up their price to JB's price

Games are still cheaper to get online overseas most of the time, I just need an American and Japan 3ds due to region lock :( I'm not buying twice just to play a game I got with a us ce anyway
Will probably just get a 2ds from each country

remember folks..they OVERPRODUCED the black Zelda 3ds version for the US...I Remember walking into gamestop and they were putting incentives on the black Zelda 3ds to move inventory..if you like these..feel free to buy them..but don't get caught up in the frenzy that somehow these are limited and you are buying thinking there gonna shoot up in price or be very difficult to find..they will be tons on ebay soon..lol..for those that want it because there pokemon fans that's great..but for those who think there gonna make bank of these as resales down the road..think again..you'll regret it.

At least these seem popular in Canada. Amazon.ca sold out both. Red one is sold out in ebgames online. I've heard stores are getting 2 each...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not exactly feeling the designs of these handhelds. It also doesn't help that this month is kind of crazy, so these get pushed lower on the priority list.
If anyone picks these up, it would be cool to see what they look like in the flesh.

Yep still available. But then again so was the Pikachu for a long time and the price of that console now is very high

Exactly. Special edition consoles like Zelda, Pikachu, Fire Emblem, and Animal Crossing probably did not sell out very quickly but they go very high now. I think Pokemon ones will likely follow the same path.

really? animal crossing sold a lot quicker than how this pokemon version is holding out from what i remember...

I think Nintendo made a lot of these pokemon verisons as demand is strong..and they will last long enough through Christmas at least...I saw yesterday toys r us unload 30 of them into the store.
