craftsman tools have been around since 1927 through sears with a lifetime guarantee from the start.
No more tractors left .I had at one time 34 tractors here .I showed a lot of them at tractor shows. my very first complete restore was a 1947 tiger by ensco The tractor was the last to go. broke my heart to see it go. I do have an old jacobson 10 hp garden tractor that I used to drag small loge out for firewood. It ran good when I parked it two years ago. where are you from?

what really surprised me when I learned exotic car maker Lamborghini was also manufacturing farm tractors..i could never put 2 together..seems like on opposite ends...have you ever come across or owned a Lamborghini tractor?...have you seen or know of anyone that has a sears craftsman set from 1927?..are they the same or better quality since there debut in 1927..i say that because for example I also collect hot wheels..and when they first came out around 1967..they were all die cast metal on metal chasis (mainlines) with a special shiny paint process ..these days for the same price point adjusted for inflation they (mainlines) have plastic bodies and thinned out card backs and enamel paints..so quality is not the same..i was wondering if craftsman also cut corners over the years?

Wow you live in that house in the forest? That's pretty nice. Just like hearthfire house :D
I guess it would be quite troublesome to get supplies tho. And how do you get internet?

The house is 1/2 mile from the road We live 9 miles to a grocery store, 20 miles from a bunch of big name brand stores. We average 160 inches of snow a winter Our neighbors all have four legs except the birds We have a whole house generator that automatically comes on if we have an outage, The wife keeps the larder full all year. Also we have two freezers in the basement. We have forty acres of trees so we burn about 4 cords of wood a year as supplement source. I am retired But four years ago I had three heart attacks in seventeen days and have been in a wheelchair since. Collecting comes easy when you sit at the computer four hours a day. My son who lives about 100 miles south of us has a small collection of computer games .That is as close as I get to them. LOL bob w.
nice one bobby welcome lol

do you have any neighbors in the immediate area?..ever get spooked at night in the woods?..do you have wild animals roaming around?...do you get mail regularly?..just wondering, the pic makes it seem like you are surrounded by nature on all 4 sides..a true utopia for some :)

Our closest neighbor is a mile away through the woods a bit longer if you use the roads, the wildlife is plentiful up here. We had a problem with bears this spring we had over 30 sightings close to the house ,6 of them came up on our deck and visited. We had to build a fence across the bottom of the steps and install screamers to ward them off. We have coyotes, raccoons, deer. turkeys squirrels and lots of birds rabbits and squirrels are scarce. as far as being scared we have learned if you don't bother them they will not bother us. beside if we run out of food they are always there to help us out. LOL
We love it here BUT if anything ever happens to me the wife would not stay here alone. you know FUNERAL AT 9 AM AUCTION AT 1 PM ,
the mail is delivered out on the county road every day We have almost everything we need for approximately a seven day week or until we run out of propane ( we have two 100 gallon tanks to run the generator)
We also have several cameras and noisemakers on our property to tell us when we have visitors. Sorry about the rant but you asked LOL bob w.

Sounds like a very interesting place to stay. That's about as close to nature you can get but with the comforts of modern technology (ie. internet).
How do you handle the insects and pests? Those would likely be a major annoyance.

not to many insects my wife has planted certain plants around the house to try to eliminate bugs and insects. For the mice and moles we spray around the foundation plus we have a good cat living here. Half way down our mountain the phone company installed a dsl transmitting station for the internet. WE have everything that the city folks have except neighbor problems and very little crime. Of course I have little to do with any where beyond the mailbox. bob w.
