It isn't an auction. It will be fixed price, just do not know how much yet. Still probably not cheap although I'm hopeful.

Hopefully they have nice cheap things ^_^

Just got off the phone with an awesome guy at the opening that got me all the limited prints and seems only 2 of them are signed as the artists for the other two are overseas. Also, the 1/1 original digital prints start @ $300.00.

Lucky, I wonder when they'll be up online, or if they will at all.
I would love one or two of those.

@LTDartgallery do not know if they will post there or not, but they also have a facebook event page you can go to through their website where they said they would post once online. The prints and originals are all now going up at the same time too.

originals look like this

however i dont see 1/1 numbered and no signature...
Also really do not understand why not number edition of only 20...
If i had the money i still would have bought them all 4 or even some originals (to bad the jesse van dijk original was sold).

Great pickup Mike. The thing i hate most are shipping charges plus inevitable custom charges :( else i ordered some more.
Do you agree on my suspicion the originals will be unsigned unnumbered?

Thanks dudes. I thought the shipping to me in Canada was about as reasonable as it gets - $15 for the 3 LE's, $30 for the framed one.
Yeah probably. I'd really like a signature, but numbering isn't /that/ big of a deal to me.

Picked up the set of four prints and the last Jesse Van Dijk original, since I've admired his work for some time and was surprised that one of them was still available.

Im surprised though that not more destiny collectos are here (i understand that the game isnt out yet). This seems like a very nice franchise to collect for. If you don't pick up the rare stuff now, you will bang your head once the game proves to be a hit.

I would imagine that a lot of it has to do with the fact that many collectors probably don't even know about the show, since they don't visit this site and have no knowledge about the gallery. I know that I wouldn't have heard about it if not for this thread, and I regularly visit forums that focus on prints and posters.
Plus, it's just difficult to buy stuff, especially art, for a game that hasn't been released yet because you can only judge the images from an aesthetic point of view. Some of the originals that haven't been sold could depict an important part of the game that everyone will want by this time next year, but because we have no narrative context for the images, they're just pretty pictures. Personally, I think it's a steal to get a framed 24x30 piece of concept art for $300 regardless of where it shows up in the game, but a lot of people would have a fair amount of hesitation about spending that kind of money on an "unknown" image.

I decided to pick two giclees that show locations of the game. Since you pick your own character, it will probably mean the characters depicted won't be so popular (in contrast to mass effect where u have fan favorites characters, and those are more sought after than pictures of locations).
The thing is with the frame (i think its good price, but i would be cautious to have a frame shipped overseas in my case). But, its missing a passe-partout though, its a no no to frame directly against glass imho!

It was posted on penny arcade I think on Tuesday or Wednesday. Huge traffic, I honestly thought everyone already knew about this. Sales benefit Childs Play which is also pretty huge. I know it's Bungie, but sales seem slow because it's awfully early for most people to start collecting on a new IP.
Too early for me anyway haha

How desirable are the prints from these shows, if they are not officially licensed?

They are licensed concept art prints that Bungie owns rights to and sold at the gallery as far as I know. They aren't fan art.

It was more of just a generalization of prints of that site; not just the Bungie ones.

Some are licensed and others are just fan art. The Star Wars and Disney stuff is licensed and not really sure about the upcoming Song of Fire Ice show. I think the desirability of the print really depends on the individual print and artist (price matters a lot too).
