We should all totally do this - I bet if they had a huge outcry/following of people bemoaning the fact that there's no steelbook, they might be inclined to listen -- especially as a new name, game, etc. they wouldn't want to be known as "that really expensive CE that didn't even include a steelbook", right? ;)

I was strongly debating whether to get this, I may not even like the game lol.

However, I do like this statue and I collect nice statues too such as The Last of Us.

It looks like I can pre-order this from Amazon.com and save approx 50 GBP after shipping and import fees. My only worry is if it arrives damaged. Will Amazon cover my costs for broken items for buyers overseas?

I like their policy of not charging any more than the quoted import fee and will refund the difference if it is lower, that's amazing service right there!

I do wonder how many are made. I am guessing somewhere between 1000-5000 but that is a total guess.

At GAME in the UK they give you a poster when you pre-order it so I might pay 20 GBP deposit just to get the poster and use the credit for another game instead. Win/Win situation. :)

I think we will need Ryan to answer the material question :P. It is being distributed by Treehouse after all. But I think everything Treehouse distribute are always PVC or higher quality material. I'm actually surprised that the edition of this size is actually sold out. Its probably split half to NA market and another half to Europe and further split into Europe regions. Australia only have 600 of them. Although it means it is split into thousands per region roughly, I'm actually surprised that its sold out.

So Titanfall has an 87 on metacrittic so far for the XB1 version. Not bad, about what I expected.

I figured around 90 or so... PC may do better.

Well... as I quoted i never said all were sold out completely. I said all but last gen versions (that no one yet seems to want). To be fair to that last gen version that part of the game is delayed i believe and they probably put the most aside for 360 (which is a mistake IMO, the PC version sold out fast and people with next gen tend to probably have more spending $ and are first adopters and CE buyers).

At first sight there's no damage on the top corners of the Titanfall CE....will have to wait to take it out and see the bottom... Couse amazon ones comes with ZERO protection!!!

And Sanborns was so great protected!!! Bubblewrapped and those little softy nuts all over the box protecting it!!!

Just put the Nano edition, and some G1 and G2 so you can make an idea aprox the size, already had no idea what to put beside.... lol

The main difference is when you take a look from the above, as the Titanfall CE is squared...aprox 50x50x50 cm....

For those who ask themselves about the material figure, not pvc...it's cheap plastic, very well detailed, but plastic anyway...

It reminds me the feeling touch as the laser plasma gun of Dead Space 2...

Yeah I thought it was cheap plastic... but still nicely detailed. I saw a few unboxings and the ling was behind all over the place when people were holding it up.. One guy said he felt it would snap apart if he dropped it even a little.

Yep...even the package comes with no protection, take a look to the last pic, and you will see that on the inside part of the corners, they have put some extra hard cardboard for taking care of the inside content...

The only thing that can be damaged are the package corners...in my case, just two littles smashed corners of the bottom side...the above side is perfect.

My whole outside Box CE arrived truly well, thought it would arrived worstly, it has just the two little smash corners at the bottom...like the one Likey has on his CE, but on the bottom...the top side is mint!! Hehehe...

OMG, that Titan statue is so sick!!!

I went to my local GAME for the Titanfall midnight launch. Mainly to pick up my pre-order poster and anything else they're willing to let me have. I ended up purchasing a Titanfall mug but the rest of the goodies were free.

I might be getting a special item tomorrow so if I do I'll post a photo. I should know within 12 hours!

It really just depends on what you have. I have a 660ti, and I have most things in high, 1080p, and a nearly constant 60.

The game is not made to be a graphically beautiful game... it is made for fast pace fps action. This is why it looks dated.

It could certainly be both, but that wasn't quite the point I was trying to make. What I was getting at is that it looks bad on XB1 compared to PC. For last gen games I've been used to that for a while, but I was really wanting to stop saying that once the new systems were out lol.

I got ya. But there will ALWAYS be parody with games compared to PC. Always. Simply because PC games each year can improve the "ultra" settings for the newest graphics cards. By the time the next gen consoles hit shelves they were already behind in the "raw" graphics department. But they are all the same so devs can get the most out of those specific setups and will be able to stay with PC for a few years and look similar. Also the XB1 is less powerful already then its competitor.

But console will forever be the most stable and convenient way to game. Graphics are not everything and really are to the point where they are not really that important... just fun to talk about, compared, and look at.

Well it is being done by another dev... but I am sure they are being over-sighted by Respawn and I bet they are using the same assets. Close to a port but not really as they were building it kind of in tandem.

Yeah I hear ya. I can get it on PC if I want but really not that interested since on PC i would have to download the game (I have no dis drive). I would want a way to sell it if I got bored with it, which I would.

They'll probably want to faze out CoD so it'll most likely be annual and maybe it'll be November next year. Will be really interesting to see what the next CoD looks like. They gotta do something new now.

They are not going to phase out CoD in the foreseeable future... the best they can hope for in the next couple years is to get to a level where they are considered to be competing with CoD.

The difference is ND and SP are Sony owned studios so that will never happen. Respawn is an independent studio as far as I am aware. The only reason they took MS's offer was to circumvent most of the risk involved... but in hindsight the game is a success and they wish they never made that deal.

I would love nothing more than for them to go back to World War 2! I far, far, FAR prefer that setting to modern military. I actually prefer every single thing about CoD 2 to any of the rest of the series. I don't like their model of multiplayer--as introduced in 4 and still here with Ghosts lol. And I definitely prefer the campaign in 2. It didn't take itself too seriously, but still managed to tell an enjoyable tale. A sequel in the vein of CoD2 would just be tits! lol
