Gaming Heads announce Lara Croft Statue

The statue is based on the fantastic Tomb Raider reboot, for the Xbox360 and Playstation 3, from earlier this year. Dubbed the Lara Croft Survivor Statue, Gaming Heads left no detail unturned in the creation of the 20″ tall statue. Coming in both a standard and an exclusive version, the statue is due for release in the second quarter of next year.

The standard edition is limited to 1,000 pieces and will sell for $319.99. The exclusive edition will be limited to just 500 pieces and sell for $339.99. The exclusive edition comes with a shotgun.

Definitely like the old new Laura face better -- not liking the "definitive edition" version...hmmm...actually, looking at them again there's aspects of each that I prefer...

Does GH take payment right away or is this something that only takes payment when shipped? EDIT: Okay, just clicked through, looks like they take payment at shipping, or you can do a payment plan with them... sweet deal! Will have to try and convince my wife that I "need" this ;) Hopefully we get a nice bonus this year so I can treat myself!

@KinghtofTruth. The payment is indeed when the product ships. Cancellations are also without any penalty.

Nice thing with them, if you have more than 5 statues ordered and payed through them you get 5% discount, if you 10 10 % and for 15 the same.

That is nice. Would these statues be available anywhere else or is it solely through GamingHeads? I just ask because I've noticed that other statue-sites do the same thing (like F4F) and just wanted to consolidate as many purchases as I can to save $$. Also, do you know if they do free shipping or is shipping separate?

Edit: I see that entertainmentearth has the non-exclusive statue for only 289.99 + free shipping, so maybe that answers the question -- its just about the exclusive version now. :)
What -- looks like gamingheads is charging me $30 for shipping?!? Anyone know if there's a coupon code or something for free shipping cuz that's way too much, especially if I can get it $30 cheaper at EntertainmentEarth AND free shipping :( Hopefully ThinkGeek will have this, that'd be the best of all worlds haha.

The excl is only for gamingheads, the regular will indeed hit the retail stores. There is a 30$ coupon on the excl available : SEYLC34. F4F works the same as gamingheads (both would fuse together normally, but for some administration/legal stuff this didn't happen)

From what I can tell, exclusive is exact same as regular version but quantity is out of 500 and it includes a gun in addition to everything the regular one comes with. Anyone have perspective on this?

Same thinking here. Either that or people really didn't feel the extra gun was worth the extra $?

Could also be that many people might not have known about the "exclusive" version as its only available through GH and other sites wouldn't advertise it.

Oh yeah, I guess that would make sense. If GH only got a small allocation of the 1000 regular version pieces whereas they have all 500 of their exclusive version so they burned through the small allocation of the regular version quicker.

Still don't see why if you are buying through gaming heads that you wouldn't pay extra $30 for the exclusive with the cool gun.

Anyway, thanks for the perspective.
