I'm definitely rethinking my Euro pre-order too. Not too sure about the soundtrack though. It says for the Euro CE, that it gets a 2 disk MP3 soundtrack. You can fit more MP3 files on a CD than you can fit tracks on an audio CD, so it all depends. On that note though, the original ToS OST was 4 disks, so does the US CE only contain the original OST or tracks for both games? I assume a lot of the tracks would be recycled across games though. 0.o

I would say 50-60 from ToS and 50-60 from ToS: DotNW for the soundtrack. Promo on youtube says over 90 songs, but I doubt it's all of them or it would have to be 8 disks for audio CD.

It's so annoying that never give you the full soundtrack in any Japanese CE (Western version anyway). If you want the full soundtrack, import from Japan only.

i had the chance to pre-order it on amazon but i skipped it because it didn't mentioned anything about the steelbook when i tried to pre-order it on gamestop it was sold out....I tried back on amazon it sold out... i was emailed it was back in stock so I tried to re-check the website and it sold out again...

apparently for the NTSC US version the full color manual over 50 pages is ONLY in the collectors edition, if you buy the standard game, according to on-line bloggers there is NO manual at all.

Symphonia is a fantastic game. I feel that Abyss and Vesperia both surpassed it in various ways--Abyss for its story, especially the character development, and Vesperia for essentially 'perfecting' this style of Tales game before they changed it and moved on with Graces--but Symphonia still holds up quite well. It was only like 3 years ago that I went and got my perfect file on the 'Cube version, so it's still fairly fresh in my mind.

And it sounds like the UK version is shit compared to ours. It's the same packaging, yeah? Do they just have like cardboard spacers in there to take the places of the missing items. I also saw it for pre-order on Zavvi for 100 pounds. If that's actually the RRP, then it is WAY more money and has a lot less content. Very lame. :/

UK version box style is different as well..it is NOT identical packaging as the NTSC version.,..the PAL box is a "custom box" fitted like a giant slipcase over the items it includes..it looks more like the Japanese packaging.

You might get steelbook from preorder, but it happens in here too. Micromania game stores tend to give out steelbook too so yeah i don't see where its inferior version or not.

I did not get my CE yet so gotta check if its numbered or not. But 18 000 compared to 10 000, its a huge diff. Divided almost by 2. Now that number (10 000) has been stated by the official namco french site, i guess they know better than us.

Now its not like it matter that much as both version are exactly the same. As long as we enjoy the game, its all that matters.

Well, the seller is aware of how its going to end right. You cannot blame the seller for people being stupid, but you have to admit it was done on purpose. This guy is clearly not a fan. If he was, he'd keep the CE to himself. Its not even reaching his home and already selling it. Considering this alone, he knows he's going to get like a x2 on what he had to pay for it.

I mean, selling it years later because you've kept it for your own collection and you grab a x2, x3, that, i could understand. But selling something you've yet to receive is something i'll never accept and bear, even tho it's never going to stop.

I wish they would add an option like : one per address. They could get their hands on a few copies indeed, but shit like 70 CE being on auction from the same guy would never happen.

Well I'm not sure how often you browse ebay after sold-out CE's are released but this is pretty standard.
It happens quite often. For example the Borderlands 2 CE here in the US sold out so I saw one go for about $500 release day.

Not that I would do something like that, but hey that's capitalism. Plus, there are people for it, so you should be more mad at them then the sellers.

I don't know about that. This has a much more high quality box, a steelbook, a four disc soundtrack in its own case, the hardcover novel, all individually numbered. NISA has nice CEs, but this really seems to be in a class of its own.

Just look ad Gamestop and xeonblade copies or people with HDN game.

My ce is sealed and will stay that way, ill pick up a new cheaper version of symphonia down the road once ive completely finished xillia (just almost beat it with Jude) and beat tales of graces f (unless I turn out to not be a huge fan of that one, then ill just get a save file of it lol)

Now the only question I ask is how many copies of them do you have? Just one, if thats the case then I would agree. If you have multiple then technically you would be sitting looking at your completely sealed ce too if you could only get one lol. I just dont want to ruin my symphonia before I can play it, I will be much more cautious while its sealed lol

I only buy one copy of items. I have no desire to sell my collection, so monetary value means nothing to me. With that in mind, I would just be wasting copious amounts of money. If I want an item, I buy it it new or mint, I open and enjoy it, and I keep/covet it forever... lol

Although for anyone looking to get a "MINT" CE I would advice to be careful since most coming back in stock are likely exchanges amazon received for "damaged" ones.
