Tbh the exclusive one is ugly, they did that with the Jak and Daxter statue as well. I don't know why they decide to keep doing the bronze statues.

I like the Jak & Daxter exclusive, has more of a metallic colour feeling rather than just brown like this one.

Yeah but the Link one looks pretty good (especially after they included the optional head with colored eyes vs. the closed ones).

Yeah, but with the Link one, the difference was so drastic that you either got both or the standard version. I couldn't bring myself to have just the Exclusive version as he looks wrong. :S C3P0 on a horse? No thanks.

I never bothered with the TR statue either. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy loads of statues as space is a premium. :S I gave the Dragonborn statue a miss when I had the exclusive on order. lol

I play ME 1 - 3 and I love them. Sadly under certain circumstances I never get to collect ME stuffs. But this statue will change my mind definitely.

I ordered Dragonborn exclusive from GH before, and the craft on the statue is just as their photo shows. I have faith in them pulling this off.

I'd just wish that they could stop recycling the same characters over and over again. I would like to see something different from bioware for a change and giving some of the other characters a chance like Wrex, Legion, Samara, Liara, Thane or Jack.

I can understand that they are putting their faith in characters that have proven in the past to sell well.

Don't give me wrong I wouldn't mind if they decide to do Tali next. :D

Nothing has been heard ever since. And I have a feeling we never will. After the response many had with the Shepard statue they released.

Usually GH lists an estimated release date, but I just noticed that they didn't for this statue. According to the Bethesda store it will be coming out Q4 of this year. I went ahead and updated the post to reflect that.

I know on GH you can choose a 3 month payment plan and they seem to charge you the 3 months before the product releases. 2 months before and the month of release I think. I went with that for their Garrus statue. I can't imagine dishing out almost $400 at once.

Gaming Heads are announcing a new statue from one of their pre existing franchises today in around 2 hours.

They have said on their Facebook that it is one of the most requested statues they have been asked for...wonder what it will be ;)

This almost identical pose was already being done by some Unlicensed China company and have been sold on eBay for quite a while now.

Sure the Gaming Heads one is more detailed and they got the skin colour right but it doesn't have the wow factor..

Yeah. Not a fan of this series at all, but I agree. Most of the bronzed statues don't end up looking as nice as the vibrant colored ones.

Having a really hard time deciding whether to grab Garrus and Liara..... They're both really awesome statues and well crafted, but like Knight I would definitely prefer ME1 or ME2 armor on both of them, and they're so damn big at 20 inches high :( Decisions decisions!

Yeah, these statues never really ever get cheaper, just either stay the same or more expensive depending on demand. If I knew they were going to do a quality Miranda or Shepard I'd probably bite, but right now my statue priority order goes: 1)Zelda 2)Metroid 3)Mass Effect ... with a few others tossed in randomly.

Speaking of which, just curious, but has anyone received their Tomb Raider statue yet? I thought it was supposed to be shipped this month?

wait until you see it in irl. Had the same thought with for example force hand of bison (streetfighter , pcs) and it is great in irl. If it is still bad, you have alternate display options.

I was gonna cancel my pre order for liara and get it from forbidden planet (to avoid customs charges) but because I've used their payment plan they were gonna charge me a $20 fee for each cancelled payment, it's split into 3 so it would have been $60 :( :(

I would probably buy for $100 just because of the quality but in terms of the statue, for me, it's hard to buy something at that price if the game didn't interest me. I also think part of my lost interest is since this is an online only, not all my friends play this. It is hard for me to back something that doesn't interest even my gf.

I received my first bronze statue from Gaming Heads and I would say that I'm not disappointed (check my introduction if you're curious). I believe it depends on what you are "bronzing" as my belief is I think it's okay for statues that are replicating a game's statue. Probably why I am okay with the Shrine of Talos being bronze. I probably wouldn't say the same if they were trying to bronze a character that was in an action pose i.e. the Dragonborn statue that Gaming Heads made. Just my thoughts..

i have a 1/4 scale dark knight batman hot toys and when people come by they take a picture of it with the bruce wayne headsculpt lol..

anyway i preordered the Doom statue from gamingheads.

i cant pass that up. i grew up playing doom. started dooming at 4 years old.

think i mentioned this before here.... after school (kindergarden) i would turn on the computer and play. eventually i would get scared, and then i would just wander around in the same area... moving in circles, running in circles. shoot at the wall to see the bullet holes disappear after x number of shots. shoot at the wall with the rocket launcher out of curiosity on the splash damage. shot the wall wall from a certain distance with the rocket launcher - 10% damage.. hmm lets get closer 50% damage!

then watch as doom guy's became bloodier and bloodier as his health gets lower.

then pulled out a machine gun and held the trigger to see doom's guys angry face with different levels of blood. allowed myself to get shot from the side just to see the doom guy's face turn to the side when he's shot.

**i remember cheating to the final level of doom II, when i was 5 or 6 years old... that head scared the crap out of me. i always associated satan and devil with that head.

i did all that until i fell asleep... that was my afternoon nap lol.

then i would wake up by 5pm, and watch DUCKTALES!

btw did anyone else subscribe to a magazine called (i think) CD-ROM?

Each issue would come with a CD, filled with demos. i had one that has Sam & Max, and Rebel Assault 1.

I.. heh threw it out 3 months ago when i moved... i really regretted that...

I know you jest but sometimes it does bother me when people joke about gamers and their habits; how we can be basement dwellers and don't have a social life. I do have a girlfriend, of 5+ years (prob. TMI), but the point I'm trying to make is that why can't gamers (males) have gamers (females) who feel the exact same way about this kind of stuff as well. My girlfriend loves these kinds of things. Heck, her absolute favorite characters are Alien and Predator. She loves H.R. Geiger (RIP) and he is known for some pretty gothic/erotic artwork. We are both social people. We drink, have friends over and we own our own house.

I apologize if I'm out of context or if you think I'm attacking you for your joke. I don't mean to make a serious conversation about it but I just wanted to put my two cents in when people stereotype gamers. I do struggle with it sometimes because I am in my early thirties and at my workplace, I am the only one that is this dedicated to games. Everyone else in the office has children who they buy the games for and obviously there is a disconnect from what interests them and me and I wonder what stereotypes they think I follow as a "gamer".

Again, apologies for using your comment as a platform for my feedback. I hope I didn't offend you. /rant

Not getting offended. I know where I am and I know what forum this is. I know opinions are like assholes, everyone has them. Like I said before, I was not trying to offend or attack the guy. All I was saying was when I see the issues stem up in a non-gaming setting.

To put it into perspective, have you ever been in a situation where you buy a collectible for over $1,000 and a family member feels the need to give you shit for your purchase. Ultimately, everyone will say that you're just doing what you love and it's what you enjoy. Well, that may be true but there will come a point where you will realize all jokes have a little bit of truth to them. Everyone has their limits.

Once again, I apologize for the unnecessary input and I won't pursue this conversation any further. I know I don't have any weight within this community but either way, thank you for taking the time to read my rant.

To answer your question phrased as a statement, yes. I have been in a situation where people harass me for my collection. I laugh at the jokes they make even though there is truth in them. I also know to not take anything to heart because also in the statement you do what you love is truth. They see the passion I, we, have as collectors and commend that. That's not entirely true. Mostly? Perhaps. But there are people who genuinely care what people are going through, go out of their way to try and help, or at least listen and mourn with ya when you're mourning or rejoice with ya when you're rejoicing. Not EVERYONE is so focused on their own lives that they aren't willing to "inconvenience" themselves to lend a hand at times... its just that many are, and perhaps the majority. But that makes those "special" minorities stand-out all the more. So yeah, keep on gaming and keep on collecting, but if you wanna make a difference, pay attention to those all around you while you're in your pursuits and "care" whenever humanly possible, even if it costs you something. You may find that it wasn't an expense as much as it is an investment ;)

I think it's a cool spin on what we got in the game. It's refreshing when companies that make these types of products throw something original in with what we're used to for a character.

Real nice statue but I will be looking out for Joel & Ellie rather than statues of the Infected.

TLOU was such an amazing game for me, and I had so many memorable moments with those 2 characters so I would definitely be getting those two, since I missed out on the statue from the CE.

The exclusive edition is inspired by game concept art. I really love the gas mask design; but I'm going to go with the regular statue because of game accuracy. I can't bring myself to get both with the cost and identical bodies, sigh.

Yeah, I'm starting to question why I decided to collect for this IP in the first place now. I was enjoying the obscurity of their collectibles but it seems to be growing ever so slightly. I mean the last non-remastered game or DLC was 3 years ago. You'd have thought they weren't doing much with this series since the developers were disbanded.

If you're referring to the company, I would stand by them. I have yet to receive a damaged statue from them directly due to their shipping method. They place the product box within a plastic bag and place styrofoam on all 8 corners of the box within a shipping box for shipment. I have seen damage on the boxes however due to this method but no statue damages whatsoever. I have several of their statues as a testament to this.

From a customer support standpoint, I've only had to contact them once, which was coincidentally yesterday regarding their website. They were quick to respond within 24 hours.

From a statue standpoint, details are very nice and weighted accordingly. Their information is upfront and I have to to feel like I didn't get my money's worth. Materials used are high quality and match whatever they're sculpting. My set standard is their Dragonborn Exclusive statue. I believe I have a photo of it in my collection if you're curious (as I don't recall if anyone else has shown photos of one, sorry).
