Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition Available to Pre-Order - Limited to 5,000 pieces

Over at the official Bethesda store, you can now pre-order the Panzerhund Edition of Wolfenstein: The New Order which is limited to 5,000 pieces.

The Panzerhund Edition comes in a vintage footlocker-style box (measuring approximately 20" x 10.5" x 8.5") with a stamped number plate right above the antiqued clasp and includes the following:


Inside, you'll find a classified folder affixed to the lid containing 11 classified documents (an assortment of maps, case files, and even an x-ray)

The bulk of the footlocker houses an 8" articulated Panzerhund statue. Made of high quality vinyl material (PVC and ABS) the statue is hand painted, includes a base, and strikes a surprisingly menacing pose for a scaled-down replica

Inset in a velvet-lined tray is an exclusive Steelbook, and a set of 14 full-color weathered-looking postcards of the game's alternate history, bound in a display book.

Lifting this tray reveals compartments housing a set of three high-quality, embroidered patches, and a box containing custom molded replica dog tags, looped and knotted on twine string.

Welp, I had to jump on this. I don't consider something an actual 'edition' of a game of it doesn't come with the bloody game--I'm looking at you, Dead Space 3--but this has a steelbook, so I have no choice lol.

The 250$ Titanfall collector's edition is not far, but way better.

Wow, this is a really amazing-looking CE. I really have no desire to get the game, but this CE is tops! Almost enough to prompt me to get it anyway (numbered and limited CEs are the best!) Seems kinda weird that you don't get the game but you DO get a Steelbook though? Guess I could always pick up the game in the bargain bin down the road and put it in the Steel... So very tempting... darn you Bethseda!

It won't be. Treehouse seems pretty solid on their word. The only thing I can think of off hand that got anyone upset was the Sam Spratt Tomb Raider Giclee that came back in a slightly different form.

To answer the spirit of the question, though, the back and spine are pretty simple and maintain the conceit that it's a folder containing secrets. The inside is a cool blueprint of a giant mech thing.

I am kinda low on money this year, so I carefully choosing what to buy and what not, I stop buying all game at release day, waste of money in lots of cases :/ I quit Elder Scroll too (i am waiting for game become F2P, then maybe.), cancel wildstar (only steelbook in CEs wtf), only enviously eyeing the Titanfall CEs :( and then come this all stuff with panzer hund etc., without games and limited runs and all my money plans are gone, completly ruined

at one side, its lots of money for set without game, but at other side, its limited run and when all will be gone, it will be hard to find, so I'm still hesitant :(

and its not only Wolfenstain for $100, its limited artbook for $40, its limited guide for TESO another $100 etc.

Yep narg, I really wanted the titanfalls collectors ed, but i sat down and looked at it, and decided that that is not worth 250$for me. For 250, i'd expect the statue, the art book, the OST, some patches, a messenger bag. That and I'm still eyeballing amazons titanfalls collectors ed listing hoping it drops in price.

So, me living in germany, having preordered the CE without the game, cant even preorder the "complete" version of the game. Wait, I can.. but then I will be playing it locked up in a cell, not being able to go into bathroom, out of fear of picking the famous soap bar.

Also, I'm still not forgetting how the last game affected my donkey. I see him waiting the game release, waiting for his ball to shine again.. "Let me balls get sucked, hard.. real hard".. he says.
