Hi all,

According to the titel, my name is Ruud. As some of you might notice, the title of this post is very alike that one of misterunboxers. Offcourse this is not a coincidence. I've got to known misterunboxers some time ago after posting some comments on his unboxing video of the Dark Souls Sif statue. After some talking, this forum came up. I remember looking up something here a loooong time ago, but not using it actively. Since 2 year, I'm an active Demon's Souls and Dark Souls I/II collector. Misterunboxers told me that there's a lot of usefull information here, so i wanted to introduce myself.
As for my collection, i only collect what really passionates me, and infact that's only the Souls-series. Other games i also like to play, but they cannot take me by the heart as the Souls-series can. Besides that, I'm a Belgian 23-years old university student, so infact i only have money to collect 1 series :p
Well, after my brief introduction it's time to present my collection. I still have some items which are underway, but I've been postponing this post for several weeks now, that i just cannot bare it any longer to hide my collection of which i am very proud.
Recently, i build my own display cases en arranging most of my poster frames that I'm that proud to show it to you all.

An overview for each shelf is following now

To start with my Demon's Souls shelf:

On this image is the complete Black Phantom Edition(EU) and Deluxe edition (US). Infact these are the only 2 things i have from Demon's Souls. i know there also a Japanese guide and a collectible -hard to find- poster, but if there are more items to collect for Demon's Souls of which i don't know that they exist, please let me know. Don't mind the knight statue and the small axe. These are some items totally unrelated to any Souls-game which i found just in stores. But i found them pretty appropriate :)

Now my Dark Souls I shelfs:

Here we find the Dark Souls Design works book, the Japanese Artorias of the Abyss edition, of which you can only see the outer box. The guide, game itself and soundtrack case are inside because of a lack of space. Also on this picture is the tin case backside of the US collector's edition. And offcourse the newly arrived Great Grey Wolf Sif statue. To bad, this one is not the official one of Link Dead Studio but a replica of a 3D copy from a real statue.

On this photo you can see the official Dark Souls Hardcover guide book. Besides that, 2 regular art books, one which came with the US and other with the EU collector's edition. Infact, they have thesame content but are in another format and printing substance. Then there is also the 'special' artbook which came with the EU Pc artorias of the abyss edition. Besides that, you also see the front side of the US Collector's edition, of which the backside was on the previous picture, and limited Artorias of the Abyss Zavvi steelbook. You can also see a Solaire statue, which was crafted by TheKindledBonfire who has a shop on Etsy, so all credits for him because it's a superb statue! And last but not least, a handmade Siegmeyer of Catarina statue (#100/100), made by the one and only Peter Nordström!

Now, my Dark Souls II shelfs:

On this picture, you can see the complete EU collector's edition, which includes the warrior statue, the small art book, the cloth map and the Steelbook included the extra contents like the weapons code and the soundtrack cd. Also you can see the big 'art of dark souls II' book which is a part of the Japanese DSII CE and the official US Dark Souls II Collector's edition guide (still in shrinkwrap).

On this picture we can see the rest of the Japanese CE, which further includes the wooden chest with the miniature weapons & shields, the gamecase with game included, the soundtrack case with soundtrack included and beneath the chest the official DSII paper map and a small blue japanese quick guide.

On this shelf you can see the extra's which came with the DSII UK versions. You can see an unsigned comic book, which i reveid with the purchase of my game in Belgium. And you can see a designed sleeve which has a signed comic book inside. Besides that, there is also the official UK pre-order iPohone 5S case and the Spanish Dark Souls II Lithograph which is limited to 2,000 pieces. There is a retailer only DS2 mug (credits to Merch!), the US Black armour steelbook (look at the relief present here compared to the EU steelbook) including the artbook as well. Last but not least, a lithograph about DS2 as well

Now we've come to the last 2 shelfs containing bloodborne items. On the first shelf you can see the ink&pen set + the ringing bel lthat came with the nightmare CE. Furthermore there's the Kirkhammer letter opener which came with the Asian Limited Hunter edition (which i do not have), the bloodborne key ring and the Saw Cleaver steelbook which was an exclusive for Denmark i think. To end, there's the giant Bloodborne Pamflet and the folded poster/ info sheet both in Japanese. For the folded poster, i have a 2nd copy of this which i use as poster, see underneath.

On the second Bloodborne shelf, you can see the rest of the Nightmare CE: the metal box, resembling a series of book, in which all of the items were stored. The Steelbook, the artbook and the white notebook. Furthermore you can see both the Bloodborne & Bloodborne: the Old Hunters Collector's edition Guide books, and in the front a small japanese guide book.

Here you can see all the Dark Souls I&II and Bloodborne official T-shirts I have. They are not included in my display cases any more because of a lack of space.

Now, besides the cabins, i also have some art on my wall:
Above my bed, there is a giant poster of DSI, which came with the pc CE of DSI, prepare to die edition. To show you the size of the poster, i photographed the corner of my display case with it.
Above my door i framed DSI map. Just because i really liked the map :)
Then on my big wall there are 6 pictures which i found on etsy(credits to CrowSmack). They are not official DS art but i found them that beautiful that they simply deserved a place on my wall!
Also on my wall, you can find the 4 metal art cards which are limited up to 2500 each. Tried to frame them as nicely as the cards are themselfs. (see close up)
Then i have a framed official Dark Souls II poster, limited up to 3,000 pieces.
Then there is a signed comic poster, which i think was exclusive for Zavvi in UK. On the backside, there isare some promo advertisements about DS.
As a last one, I also have a framed poster which i found on redbubble, so it's an unofficial one. The creator is Josh Legendre and i found this poster that beautiful that i just had to buy it. All credits to Josh, it's a delight to see this poster hanging on my wall every day :D

Recently I've added 4 posters to my collection. About Dark Souls II SOTFS, bloodborne, Bloodborne: The Old Hunters and a fanmade Bloodborne poster by Josh Legendre (again!).

Then at last, i have framed some items which i have for allready quite some time. This includes 5 official post cards and a poster which came both with the Dark Souls I Artorias of the abyss DLC for PC. The cards are something around A6 format. They are incorporated in a picture frame including other pictures non DS related, so i left those ones out.

Now there are 2 more things left to show ou guys. First thing is the Looking Glass Knight (aka Mirror Knight) statue. This is made by LDS (Link Dead Studios) and was a promotional statue, which was given away at several contests. Sadly enough i didn't win a contest but i was lucky enough to find one on ebay!

Besides collecting all these items, i also have platinum trophy on PS3 for demon's souls as well as DSI, DSII and Bloodborne!

I hope you guys are as enthousiastic as i am about my collection, because it has taken me blood, sweat, tears, time and money (truly all of them) to aquire all these items, but i would do it immediatly again if i had the chance :D

pictures can be insert by either putting the link between [ IMG] insert link here [/IMG ] (without the space) or just use the insert image option above (where you can change the color of your text, it's the small picture showing a mountain and a sun)

it should work with imageshack just fine. Just use the direct link and insert it in the box that appears if you click on that little mountain icon.

Even though I'm a big Souls fan. I only collect video game ce's and game guides. All the cool merchandise stuff gets way too expensive so I just try to stay away from it in general.

Yes indeed, the merchandise items are sometimes that expensive that they aren't worth it. I also only invest in them if i think the price fits the item. But according to your collecting, i see that you have the demon's souls Deluxe edition so that great :D Alltough your collection is not as big as mine, it's just about fun. If you still enjoy your hobby, then that's the most important :)

The final place of the statue is in my wooden wardrobe. I wanted to put it in my glass showing case, but I don't know it it's 100% safe there because the statue weighs 6kg, and you never know with glass...

Because i missed the Link Dead Sif statue, i certainly wanted to get my hands on this one. To bad I didn't win this by a competition, luck was definatly not on my side alltough 20 of my friends joind in the competition. But somebody who won it sold it and it costed me a lot of negotiation to get this statue for a reasonable price so I'm as happy as can be! Just wanted to share this with you all.

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the welcoming! I wish i had known this forum before :) I'm very happy that you guys are as enthousiastic as i am because i really feeld blessed for receiving ths :) Today, i have received 2 new statues, definitly worth looking at.
Both are from etsy.com.

The first statue is one of Solaire of Astora. It's an unofficial made item, but nevertheless very nicely crafted. As it is a very sunny day, first picture was near the window so he could definetly praise the sun :D

The next 4 pictures are every side of the statue. As you may see, the sword is not attached on the statue yet, because it would have been to fragile during transport, so I'll fix that one of the following days.

The next statue is the extremely nice Great grey wolf Sif statue. Originally this was the promotional statue of Dark Souls 1 (as the Looking Glass Knight is for Dark Souls 2) and was made by Link Dead Studios. To bad i wasn't able to get my hands on an official one, but a guy on etsy made a very nice detailed replica from a 3D scan from an original statue. Enjoy the pictures!

I have seen the Sif statue before, but never knew it was an official thing. May I ask which promotion did it come from or how was it affiliated with Namco Bandai?

Link Dead Never gave out Sif in a promotion or anything officially licensed to Dark Souls. It was a side project that was never sold or given away. The studio gives them to clients as a gift. The one in my collection is from the studio and signed on the felt bottom :) Blessed to have this in my possession. Hope this clears anything up about the Sif statue.

Thanks, I worked hard on making my signature pic. As far as telling you how to make one it would not be that easy. I used PhotoShop, you would have to have that or something similar and at least the basic skills to use it.

Yes indeed, so that original statue was made by Link Dead Studios. Misterunboxers, who is also on this forum, has an original statue. He also made a youtube movie about i, so check it our for sure if you want some more info :) I bought my very lookalike statue together with the Solaire one on Etsy indeed :)

I'm doing an update about the items i collected over the last 3 weeks. With these items included, i think i have about 90% off all the collectable items available. I know i don't have the promotional/press kit items, but I'm working on that. They really don't come up that often, so these will be hard to find. I also know I'm missing the webhallen edition, but personally i think it's to much money for what it is. If somebody sells it cheap to me, then i might buy it, but I'm not spending €150 on a ring, a bag and a hoodie which arent that special i think personally. Anyway, about my update, here it comes:

I'll start with the smallest items, first of all i got my hands on the official UK pre-order iPhone case. It wasn't my intention to buy this, but it costed only €5 so i had to buy it :p Inside is just plain black.

A large poste (A1 format) which came with the Dark Souls I PC collector's edition, i finally framed and hung it up above my bed ;) Also you can see a little piece of my cabin, just to give you an idea where it hangs and how large it is (something like 85cmx60xm). You can also see the pictures of the post cards which i mentioned in my first post on page 1.

Then i got the 2 official Dark Souls II T-shirts, the first one was a pre-order bonus in the UK. Frontside has a knight in faraam armour, backside is plain black. The history about second shirt i don't know very well, but i think it's a French pre-order bonus? If i'm wrong, correct me please. Frontside has a kneeling knight and backside has the Dark Souls II logo.

Next up is the Dark Souls II collector's edition guide. i was planning to buy this in Belgium as it also came out here, but something was wrong with the license and it got delayed and delayed... Last week i decided to order this from amazon and this is the result. Notice that there are apparently 2 edition of the collector's guide. A US edition of 464 pages and a UK one of only 400 pages, also the size differs slightly. No idea why this is so, but this is the US edition. Notice that if you look at my overview picture on the first page that you will see a sealed guide there. Infact i bought 2 guides, in case my first one gets to messed up from using it, then i still have a mint one for my collection :p

Then i also got my hands on the Demon's Souls Deluxe edition. As you guys can see this is a 2nd hand edition because a new/sealed one is really expensive, and as this 2nd hand edition is in pretty good condition it was much more worth the money. You can see pictures of the carton outside box, game case, game case inside, game guide front & backside, artbook front & backside and artbook cd.

The second shirt of the kneeling Knight. I can vouch for 2 instances where they were available in America. 2013 SDCC exclusive and them GameStop Convention 2013. They were sold at SDCC, but at GameStop convention you had to beat the Looking Glass Knight, which seemed A LOT harder in the demo than the actual game.

The book let is pretty thin paper, so easy to crush and the outer box is carton and not metal, which is really a bummer. So if i can get on cheaply i'll buy it, but not for a lot of money.

Very few press kits are metal. Also the tins are easy to damage too (maybe worse)... just look at steelbooks, there are more damaged ones then good ones.

Is it? The concept is way cooler... but really what else is better? It is a mock bible with literally 3 pages and a promo game in it... that is it. The Press Kit box it literally the ONLY item (expect for the promo game). I think it is a perception issue... you perceive it to be a cooler concept therefore it is not what is in it but what it happens to look like in this case.

Kind of a cool study to see how any maybe why we react certain ways to certain collectables.

BTW, thanks... I love my Darksiders PK a lot. I wished they had made one for Darksiders 2 but all they made was a launch kit booklet.

Okay guys, now it's time for part 2. As you might have seen, i allready have quite some Souls-related items, i think about 90% or something. But the true cherry on the cake has arrived today. I bought this from another member on this forum (Merch) and i thank him again for selling me this one. It is really the cherry on the cake for my whole collection! i will nog keep you guys in suspense any longer, but i have bought the Dark Souls II Life-Size statue! I'm so enthousiast, you cannot imagine :D i have made a few pictures to show you guys. Hi guys. As i previously announced, my collection was normally at a standstill until something unexpected happend today. For my birthday, my girlfriend bought me the Siegmeyer of Catarina statue #100/100, made by Peter Nordstrom. I'm so happy with this statue, it's amazing. The statue might look a little dark, but the picture was taken in a dark room (it's night here), but it looks lighter during the day. Wauw, I'm so happy :)

Nordstorm's statues are nice, but much to expensive for how they are made. Paintjob is also not the best. But still, nice statues.

One thing about the Looking Glass Knight statue: I just realized, that there is a numbering of the limitation plus the number of the statue you own in the holes on the base. On my statue it says: 151 (very hard to see) and 15.

Yes, i've also talked about this item for 6 months and i think my girlfriend knew how bad i wanted this :) As this series was almost finished (i think he was at #95 now) i asked if he could make me #100. As the DaSII DLC's will come out shortly and with Bloodborne in the making, i would like to keep that thread pure for that series so this thread will include any other collection.
Infact, i am not that interested in many other games, but Warhammer: Mark of Chaos has caught my attention allready a long time ago. I didn't knew there was a CE and other items to collect, so when i found out a couple of weeks ago i started my search, and these items are mine allready:

Finished my 3 poster frames. As i frame them myself, i have to make my own passe-partouts which took a while. Besides hat, i also received the Dark Souls 2 Designer's works. Sorry for the bad quality of the posters, but as they are not on the wall yet, the glass is very reflective. Will update once they're on the wall ;) But for now, enjoy!

If you mean the Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the first sin edition on this page(7), in the black box with the crown picture on front: that is the Japanese Limited Edition Version of the game :-)

I didn't realise, but infact i didn't own the original capoy of Dark souls (so without the dlc). Found the EU Limited Edition 2nd hand really cheap so i bought that one :)

Another addition to my collection today, and one i have been looking forward to for quite some time! Some people here might have noticed already that i have a passion for steelbooks. They are such a fine piece of art, and therefore the following steelbook had to be included in my collection. I present you the Bloodborne US Collector's edition. Sadly enough the artbook is exactly thesame as the one which came with the EU version, but as an addition there's a nice sturdy outer box :) Enjoy!

Good afternoon everyone. Got a serious update today and it has everything to do with the release of Dark Souls 3. But I'll start with a smaller item. Allthough i'm not a fan of fan-made work as the quality of it is not that good in most cases, I've found stunning fan made work. All credits go to John Devlin for making these 2 awesome books with Soulsborne art in it. It's just magnificent.

NExt up we have the Dark Souls 3 Collector's Guide Estus Flask Edition. As previously known, the estus flask itself is not that great, allthough it's better than i first expected. It's quite transparant compared to what i had seen on pictures so that's nice. The other items have higher quality, allthough the blank journal was a bit of a letdown. It would have been a lot nicer if the darksign had been glossy so the flames would be more bright.

In my opinion, that Estus Flask Edition guide is one of the worst things ever put out to the gaming community. It's not often I get offended by something that is completely optional to purchase, but holy shit... what an abysmal piece of garbage. And the worst part is that price they're asking for it.

Have you had a chance to look through the actual guide yet, as well? It's completely trash. Missing information, parts that literally say "We couldn't figure this out. Keep trying!" ...wtf. I wish they would've stuck with FuturePress.

Hi Brandon, thanks for the reply. Yes, allthough i'm still very upset about missing out on the Yhorm statue, i'm happy with the CE. Looks good at most points, some things could have been better but overall nice job.

And i know about the estus flask edition. Haven't had time to read the guide, i just had a quick look and it looked nice. But if it is described as you say, well that sucks then. From the first moment i had Prima was doing this i was worried. Futurepress has been doing such an awesome job since the beginnig and it appears Prima is far behind then, so big mistake to choose Prima indeed. When i saw the YT video about the estus flask edition i was close to cancel it, but i just wanted to give it a chance. After hearing i missed out the Prestige edition, i just let it come to my place. I don't really know why, compensation i guess :p The estus flask is crap indeed allthough i like the bookmark and the box. Extra notice, when i pre ordered at amazon i had like 40% discount so that's also the only reason why i pre ordered. I would never have paid the full price.
