So, I stumbled upon this website in search of some Journey Artptint and I found some pretty fantastic art print for sell and at a reasonable price if you ask me.
I don't think they are limited or oficial. Though, you can see 2/280 in the lower left corner of the journey artprint ( not sure if it was for the first 280 or not ), if thos artprint aren't official, I wonder how they are allowed to make art of games without copyright infringement. ( if someone have any information about it it would be great )
the art comes signed by the artist and with a seal of approval from the shop.
here are a few sample of some their art print.

A link to where you found them would be helpful, but looks like fan art.

Oh damn, I like the AC, Uncharted and FFIX ones!
Please PM so I can purchase them. Although I don't like funding people who make money off someone else's brand/design etc. If it's official then that's fine.

That's the reason why I wonder if this isn't oficial, then it means it's illegal no? since they are making money over someone else property ( uncharted etc... ) I really would like more info on this ( legal or not I couldn't resist that Journey print really )

Looks to be unofficial. I did not see anywhere on the site where it says they have a license.
I buy art I like and as long at it is not copying other peoples work I really do not have a problem with it as long as they are limited and original designs and I'm even in a private commission group where we have a few unlicensed prints we have artists doing for us. I would think that doing open editions might get them into trouble though, studios do not really seem to care as long as it isn't on a large scale and they do not use the game titles/trademarked names.

Copying trademarked/licensed an image and/or a name would be illegal. Though just like music and parody songs, artistic pieces of licensed material are okay, at least in the US. Since these are in the UK I'm not versed in their law.

Yeah I saw the ones that Dan posted above, seriously tempted with probably 5-6 of these. For £10 each including shipping on average isn't going to hurt the bank either.

I'm going to wait for the journey artprint to arrive so I can have a look at the quality of it. If I like it I'll probably buy the whole ninja cyborg collection ( that vintage magazine cover style looks really amazing )
A shame the MGS2 have the " call me MR X " and the MGS 1 doesn't have " just call me deepthroat "

Thanks for sharing bud!
I definitely like some of the prints. As mentioned before, it does seem they are un-official but at least it's not a copy of existing art. It's original and I specially love the shadow-art.
Do let us know about the quality. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks until I will have funds to purchase so I'll wait for your review until then :)

I received my print today. I'm fairly happy with it. It came protected in thos typical tube. and the quality of the print is quite good. and it cames with 2 goodies of 2 shadow art pokemon ( can't find them on the website for sell )
I'm probably going to give them away since I'm no fan of pokemon and they will probably gather dust in my room.

You say fairly happy, where you expecting a bit of higher quality or may I ask what's the shortcoming?
Also I see you got #4 :P

I made a poor choice of words.
I thought that beeing " fairly happy " was synonimous of beeing surprisingly happy. my bad :P
I actualy was expecting something with a lesser quality than what I got, so I was pretty surprised it was of higher quality than what I expected.
A friend of mine ordered 2 shadow art and he was quite happy with it too and he got a mini chocobo artprint on top of the 2 mini pokemon artprint ( probably because he ordered 2 and I ordered 1 only )
1 thing is for sure, the paper is sturdier than those fragile cinema movie poster .
Here it is framed, it looks gorgeous

Pretty good still!
So how many prints is the guy doing or as many as people want? I mean, is he limiting to only 50 or something?
underfox
04-16-2014, 11:23 PM
No idea, but I'm pretty sure it is only limited for a set period of time ( no number i think ). Not sure though
Likey

Time limit?!
I better get I touch soon.
Thank you.

Yea, I'm just assuming though so don't necessarily believe what I'm saying. But I think they make some artprint available for let's say 3 month without any limit. at the end of those 3 month they change the artprints for new ones.
I'm assuming this because I saw a few non-numbered artprints from gametee that are not for sell anymore.
Anyway, I got my journey artprint, I'm happy now :P

You went for A3 right? Not sure what I want to get yet but A3 seems to make sense until I realise I don't have much wall space lol.
These won't be frame to go on the wall for a while but want to sort if future proof myself.

Haha no worries. Thank you for your review. I am more than convinced that these seem to be worth it for sure.
Like I said, next check I am going to place an order for the Journey print and maybe 1 (or the 3-set) of shadow prints.

I thought about if to buy A3 or A4, but with the price difference being so little and to me at least A3 feels more like an actual art print rather than the smaller A4, which to me seems like you could of printed at home.
Plus it's only 5gbp shipping to the US which is great!
I am definitely buying at least 1 print when I get my next pay!
