Nintendo will launch a Limited Edition on May the 30th, this LE will round the 60 euros.

One for NA and one for EU territories.

Europe will get the same Edition but the shell figure will be blue, instead the red that will be released on NA.

Also the preorders we will receive a pack of sleeve keys (3), but the collection pack is supposed to be of 9 pieces.

Beside that, shops as Game will give a shirt as a gift preorder too.

So, leaving preorders apart, the only difference in this Limited Editions, will be the colour of the shell figure.

NA: Red One.
EU: Blue One.

The only thing that still there is no official news is that the NA game case will be red instead of the tipical blue coloured Wii U cases.

I dont think the figurine will be different colours, as it dont make sense when it is the blue shell? :D

The colour they talk about different is the cover of the game, where the NA has a red line...

Jeez! There's so many different variations for this release!

I just checked GAME.co.uk and they are now offering the Steering Wheel as the pre-order.

For me, I think the winner is the Nintendo store as you get a T-shirt and keyring.

As mentioned, the steering wheel can be purchased so it's not a big deal. Not giving all 3 keyrings as a pre-order is annoying, shame this isn't something I could pick up at GAME store otherwise I'd be able to ask for all 3 (probably).

Whenever I run into this issue with them and excluding US shipping, it's right after I choose a shipping address. At that point I get redirected to the page with the big red "fuck you, not happening" explanation for each item. lol

Still nothing on the US front, but did just find out that Target in the US has these available right now - you can pick them up for "pre-ordering" the game for $1 (or just pick them up for $1 and never return for the game as I intend on doing).

Mine also came unsealed, but I just put that down to it coming direct from Nintendo store. However, I have just unpakced and had another look at the copies for my GB and neither of those are sealed either... o.0 Curious... :S

I know I am very late to the party here but I was wondering if anyone knows the exact production number for the Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition. I've heard such a random array of numbers that I don't know what to believe. Being that the reserves ended after only 1 day of it being announced I would assume it's less than 1000. But again I would prefer to know the exact number.

there is NOTHING unique or special about the NTSC version other than the box itself...Nintendo never announced any number..so the only best guess you can get is by calling the Nintendo World Store in NYC and ask to speak to manager on duty to see if he can answer your question, at least that would be considered a "valid" source, other than that, it's mere speculation on-line.
