Hey guys - not sure if this has been announced anywhere, but I talked to the Steelbook company last week, and G1 steelbooks will no longer be produced in North America. Still means they'll be available in Europe, but it's G2 only in North America now.

Yeah. I was following up to see if their minimum order quantity has changed (because I have been trying to get a retro steelbook project going for two years) and I was informed of that.

G2 RULEZ!!!!

That's surprising to hear. I guess with DVD steelbooks out, 360 steelbooks out, and Nintendo never really going for steelbooks, it makes sense to stop producing them in NA

I imagine it's being continued in Europe and Asia due to PC steelbooks which would be G1 and wouldn't be popular in NA
