I found this by searching over the net yesterday, Aoji.com in collaboration with konami and Hideo Kojima is preparing to release a set of Metal Gear solid Artprint

for the moment, only 4 out of 10 artprint have been unveilled and are available for pre order

More info here: http://www.artofjapaneseillustration.com/shop/en/37177-metal-gear-solid-artworks

Including artworks from 1998’s ‘Metal Gear Solid’ to the upcoming ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’, this series of 10 high-end collectibles artworks (numbered editions, with Certificate of Authenticity) pays tribute to the most famous stealth-action game created by Mr Hideo Kojima. Created under the supervision of game creator, Mr Hideo Kojima, and artistic director, Mr Yôji Shinkawa, the “Metal Gear Solid Artworks Collection” edited by the AOJI Gallery will ravish pure fans of MGS series with its exquisite gallery print on Dibond® and Plexiglas® finishes.

Too pricey for my wallet, but they sure seems fantastic ( I love the MGS 1 artprint )

yeah for the price I would think it'd be a smaller edition, not that it makes a difference to me, I can't afford those prices :(

I agree, like the Becker pieces at around 25 editions. 500 is just silly.

Wow.. ?? C&B seems like a great deal to me now!!

I agree that the price is high but it is not much higher than C&B ( mgs1 artprint costs 175€ for a higher resolution of 60x81 cm when archangel from C&B with a slightly higher resolution cost 280€) remember that the finishing touch is differente.

Aludibbon / plexiglass acrylique mounted on aluminium frame. So it's basicaly receiving something ready to place on the wall and a different finishing touch than a litho. This is not a printed on paper, this is solid stuff printed on dibbon or plexiglass depending on the choise ( plexi beeing more expensive apparrently.)

I honestly think both AOJI and C&B are awfully expensive but the quality of the product is definitly here none is better than the other to me.

The only sin of AOJI's artprints is that they are not signed when they should have been.
But that's just my personnal opinion of course.

The 500 number is definitely somewhat off putting, but quality Shinkawa art prints in general are few and far between.

Great initiative. C&B missed out on Metal Gear (we enquired to do something last year only to hear they already went with Aoji. Good for them!)

I think the edition size of 500 is a bit much, but pricing is reasonable considering the material cost of Dibond, plexi etc. Trust me, I know :)

I can't figure out if they print directly onto the Dibond or on paper that then gets mounted onto the Dibond. C&B only does the latter. The first one is possible but there are no good lab test for durability of the inks and fading for that process.

Also, do I read correctly that only the first 12 come with hand-signed certificates?
