Hey fellow collectors. I realized that even though I've been here for for a few years I never took the time to introduce myself.

I've had a few dealings with a couple of great board members, namely jugolicious and playmore64, both have been good friends. But I thought an introduction was a good idea because there's so many great people here.

Back in 2009 I had an obsession over a little known franchise called Uncharted, lol. And it was about the time the second game came out that I started my hunt for all things Uncharted.

I would scour anyplace I could to find memorabilia. Whether it be the internet, or even going to my local Gamestop or Best Buy to find things. I was OBSESSED.

Things have changed though as the last piece I added to my collection was back in April of 2012, courtesy of jugolicious, thanks bud!

Here was my collection in it's hayday:

Even those pics weren't fully up to date because I hadn't took pictures of everything at the time.

But things changed and this is my collection as it stands today:

I decided back in 2012 to stop collecting Uncharted PERMANENTLY as I was just burnt out. Plus I had been dedicating SO much money to the franchise that it got in the way of me enjoying other great games, and getting other great things.

Besides stopping I also decided to get rid of some "clutter" and to focuse the collection a bit. I had so many great things but I decided to only keep the things I loved, that were rare, and that I'd miss the most.

So that's my collection today. I no longer actively search for things. If I were to ever buy anything else for it again, it might be the Drake's Fortune presskit, but other than that I'm done.

I LOVED collecting Uncharted. It was a real passion of mine. And although I no longer collect it, I have kept the items that were near to my heart.

And It's THOSE items that will stay with me forever, bringing back memories of a time that above anything, was just shear fun!

Your collecting pal,
noah

Hey dude, I'd say welcome to the forum but you've been here longer then me :P

I kinda get what you mean about burning out on a franchise, that's sort of happened to me with MGS, I mainly look for Mass Effect stuff and a few other specific franchises now.

I love the Uncharted games so much, naughty dog are probably the best AAA dev out there atm, TLOU blew my mind.

That PAX 07 concept litho is awesome, I can see why you kept it.

Sooooooo, are you collecting anything else now or have you stopped entirely?

Thanks for the welcome anyway Gaz! :thumb:

I still collect but now I collect anything I think is cool. I come on here a lot to look for cool unique rare games and items all the time.

But I realized I no longer wanted to collect from just one franchise. While Uncharted is still one of my all time favorite franchises, to collect it and only it wore me out.

You know what I mean? I missed out on other cool things and even buying new games themselves because it was all about Uncharted, all the time for me.

I guess I just needed more variety. Plus Uncharted was seriously killing my bank account!!!

I love that Pax litho. It's really beautiful to look at.

Very nice collection and intro. I feel the same way about cutting clutter and only sticking with the cream of the crop.

Yep. I've come to the conclusion that "quality over quantity" is the way to go. I've actually gone through a lot of what I own and have weeded out the things that I feel just meh about.

It feels great to have simplified my collection, (not just Uncharted but everything that I own) and to have only kept the best of the best.

I'm also trying to be picky on what I buy in the future. I'm not gonna spent the money on something just to have it, it's gotta be something AWESOME!!!

Thanks man! Yeah the Uncharted franchise is great. But now I get to enjoy other things.

I hope this year brings some great, awesome, rare games and such.
