They say they only charge when the items are shipped but I am very sure my credit card was just charged. Maybe because I am from Portugal.

It appears the money gets charged to your card, but doesn't actually get removed, it's like Ubi are 'testing the waters' if you will. ;)

Can you let us know if this changes? I hear that they charge some folks straight away despite using a card (ie deduct the money from account). Maybe Ubishop works differently in each region....

For that, they need an access to your account. but as I said, they do not charge the card till they send the stuff.

Because this edition is just a 'box' with all the goodies (ala Wolfenstein Panzerhund edition) and the game comes separate.

I actually don't mind this, means you can play the game and keep the other stuff sealed if you want.
