I doubt if that's true. You can buy two versions of a game in Japan as far as I know - the standard Japanese version or English (NA) version. From what I saw on Amazon.co.jp, the English version doesn't come with the pre order bonus as the standard Japanese version does.

I don't think the Japanese version will have English voice and text.

Good luck with that. It looks like the game comes in the steelbook and not separate.

Dunno, according to the CDJapan site where I bought it from it says it has both English subtitles & voices.

I'm around 2/3 the way through, the game is similar in terms of gameplay to RE4, but way more morbid and gruesome. I still can't get used to the weird aspect ratio they chose to use. :S

I still prefer RE4 overall and I really like TEW, but I don't see myself playing through it a second time.

Incidentally, I played through RE4 four times (on different formats).

The steelbook from Saturn Germany has the EU/NA name 'The Evil Within'. :)
