Come out in America eu Australia and New Zealand. Only on consoles. There will be an edition without the statue that will be on consoles and pc no PC CE for America. Limited Edition costs £89.99 / $99.99 / €119.99 on console and £74.99 / €99.99 on PC. Batmobile Edition costs £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99. Release date June 2, 2015.

Well, you could probably just pick up the Batmobile edition and then get the LE down the road for cheap/clearance. I'm anticipating that to be the case - but its always a bit of a gamble. I was surprised that I was not going to have any complaints at all about this CE... then I noticed they're releasing 2 different statues... :facepalm:

Yeah - cheapest way to do that is probably to purchase them both at BB with the GCU ($160 + $80) for $240 + tax, then sell the extra game to someone for $55 or something (save 'em $5 + tax) and you'll end up with both editions for $185 (+ tax) or so, and still have an extra artbook and steelbook to sell.

Yeah, technically its even more for the batmobile statue - it'd be $60 for the game, then $40-x for the Steelbook, DLC, artbook, and comic (where x is the value of the Batman statue). So since you're not getting "x", you'd be paying $100+x "extra" for the Batmobile comparatively speaking.

Exactally. The only gripe i have with any/all of the arkham games is every collectors edition to come with the arkham name has been over saturated. Hell i still see arkham origins and arkham city collectors editions floating around gamestops. I truely want this to be limited, especially for the amount im dropping on it

Another sku will be there as well for the limited edition as well it just doesnt say "limited edition. It just says sku#### but lists it as 99.99. Hope that helps

Darn, I totally missed the announcement that they were on Amazon - this is one of my top 5 franchises that I collect for - kinda peeved they sold out already. Hopefully Best Buy will have them available in store tomorrow? They've really been letting me down lately with their delays though - didn't have anything this afternoon. May have to stop in a GS tomorrow too just in case.

Edit: Actually, GS's are probably still open with the midnight release of Destiny, maybe I can swing down to one right now and pre-order it? Hmmm....

Yeah, I'm quite familiar with the way they work - I had asked them if I could come in and pre-order it, so he wasn't trying to do it over the phone, just seeing if it was possible. It's a little late and I'm already dressed for bed - not quite sure the golden watch and tophat would go with the outfit -- but it IS gamestop on a midnight release, so I'm sure I wouldn't be the most awkwardly dressed person there. ;)

Nothing too crazy, but got a poster (I think its a different one than the one I got when I first pre-ordered it like 1 year ago). Got one of those little black "destiny" bands and then a random green "Gamestop" band. I also headed across the street and snagged a Best Buy Destiny T-Shirt, another poster, and another black Destiny band from Best Buy. Not too bad for a few minutes of effort and for free! ;)

I didn't feel like waiting in line since I really wanted to get back home (spent a total of maybe 25 minutes out cuz I stopped at the store for some energy drinks too!) so I didn't pick up the LE strategy guide, but BB was offering $6 off and I usually have them price-match with Amazon on top of that to walk out with a sub-$20 LE guide on launch dates... but I'll just have to get mine tomorrow.

Also pre-ordered my Batman AK: Bat Mobile Edition... but alas, no (hopefully timed) exclusive DLC for me :(

No, they will not be available in stores.

Here's what Matt from Best Buy said: "Due to the limited nature of these, we will not be accepting pre-orders for them in our stores, however. They will only be available for pre-order on BestBuy.com You can follow the links below to pre-order yours today."

But, this may not be the case for this, maybe with the success of the Ghost Edition for Destiny, gaming companies are really trying to make these things limited. At PAX a few weeks ago Warner Games was handing out for free the Arkham Origins Collectors Editions for 360/PS3, they must have been sitting on a bunch of them that didn't sell as they gave out nearly 100 copies combined.

I talked to Amazon and they told me they hadn't offered the collector's edition yet for pre-order, but have the ability for people to put in their email address to be notified when they become available. Didn't a few people here already pre-order it on Amazon though??

Is it just Best Buy, Amazon, and Gamestop offering pre-orders on the collector's edition? What about Target? Fry's? Walmart? Of the three taking pre-orders now, my faith in Best Buy would probably be the lowest, and I hate saying that. They tend to drop the ball a lot. Surprised they aren't offering pre-orders in store, unless they were already given their allotment number and they felt better to offer only online, but if store pick-up is available that tells me that stores will have them. Generally Best Buy stores tend to get 3-5 extra collector's editions for games (I think Destiny Ghost Edition was an exception to this) so you may have a chance getting it on launch day, but you would want to arrive early as there will probably be a line come release day of people who couldn't or forgot to pre-order.

At PAX a few weeks ago Warner Games was handing out for free the Arkham Origins Collectors Editions for 360/PS3, they must have been sitting on a bunch of them that didn't sell as they gave out nearly 100 copies combined.

I talked to Amazon and they told me they hadn't offered the collector's edition yet for pre-order, but have the ability for people to put in their email address to be notified when they become available. Didn't a few people here already pre-order it on Amazon though??

Yeah, those AO CEs definitely had quite a few left over after the fact. They were clearanced out at many of the retailers in my area. I think this edition is significantly nicer than that, and there DEFINITELY is a lot of "hype" it seems lately with new CE announcements that sell out nearly instantly.

It could be them holding back pre-order thresholds, it could be a legitimately smaller run-size, or it could just be a crazy amount of collectors and re-sellers who make a run on what's available?

I think Amazon has already sold out of their Batmobile CEs, but I could be mistaken. I pre-ordered my Batmobile Edition through Gamestop, but got my LE through Amazon so can't vouch for it - perhaps others here could though.

Of the three taking pre-orders now, my faith in Best Buy would probably be the lowest, and I hate saying that. They tend to drop the ball a lot. Surprised they aren't offering pre-orders in store, unless they were already given their allotment number and they felt better to offer only online, but if store pick-up is available that tells me that stores will have them. Generally Best Buy stores tend to get 3-5 extra collector's editions for games (I think Destiny Ghost Edition was an exception to this) so you may have a chance getting it on launch day, but you would want to arrive early as there will probably be a line come release day of people who couldn't or forgot to pre-order.

Oh I agree, don't get me wrong, I love Best Buy, but they have holes in their company they need to fix. The GCU discount is quite nice too, I let my membership run out since i wasn't buying as much game wise, but I have enough reward zone points banked that I could get one of these Batmobile Editions so I may cash them in.

Best Buy pre-orders for the Collectors Edition are now up and live as of 1:59pm pacific time! Limit of 3 per customer. I have a notification program to alert me when the page was undergoing changes, so it pinged to let me know and when I refreshed the page, it went from "out of stock" to "pre-order" so hopefully everyone here can get one before they sell out. :)

Looks like Best Buy is officially sold out of the Batmobile Edition, it's been removed from their site altogether and I found out from a gaming rep on their site that their sold through their allotment, so even though this game isn't even due out for another nine months, clearly there is going to be a set number made, and that's it as opposed them making enough for all orders that come in by x date.

Yeah, but the pre-orders for Batman:AO were closed pretty quickly too as I believe. Not 2hrs/1day quickly, but I do recall them turning them off when my friend wanted to get one. They did sit around on shelves for awhile after that though, so maybe buyers remorse?

I don't doubt that there are more than 10 for sale worldwide, I'm only saying that there were only 10 Batmobile Editions available for pre-order in Canada. Well maybe you misunderstood me. It is bad to cancel it so late like this.

My question was... is it bad for them to not release a bad product... or should they have released it even with a crappy Batmobile?

Not taking side, honestly asking as I do not know the answer. I am upset, but not overly. I never take things publishers and/or devs say as promises... I think anyone who does is lying to themselves on what that means (and in turn set themselves up to rage over things like this).

Also this was not Amazon's fault... so $20 from them is pretty awesome. WB Games is where any reimbursement should be coming from.

Not taking side, honestly asking as I do not know the answer. I am upset, but not overly. I never take things publishers and/or devs say as promises... I think anyone who does is lying to themselves on what that means (and in turn set themselves up to rage over things like this).

Also this was not Amazon's fault... so $20 from them is pretty awesome. WB is where the oney should be coming from.

Yeah they rely on stock fulfillment a week or so before launch sometimes. So it is not uncommon for them to be waiting until a week before release for stock (most of the time it i much sooner but sometimes it is to the wire).

I didn't realise the cancellation of the game was not amazon's fault because the e-mail was all in german which I can't quite understand, but then I noticed they also included a voucher for the free steelbook version of the game. I couldn't afford both currently so it felt like my hand was forced into cancelling my LE so that I didn't run the risk of accidentally getting charged for both.

few weeks ago (not sure if 2 or 3) i've noticed that amazon.de has changed the pictures on batmobile edition page , picture showing contents of this edition was removed (maybe they did something else , wasn't paying much attention , just saw the obvious). back then i thought ''thats weird but who gives a fuck'' .

Yeah I was screwed over once and do not sell pre-orders much anymore. The issue is fussy buyer when this happens... as in they blame the wrong person and do not think you lost as well.

While I do not feel bad the scalper have to return money as that is the nature of selling... I do feel bad for those the buyers will take their anger out on.

What a garbage apology. Retailers really stepped up IMO as this was not their fault... WB on the other hand gave you skins.

sometimes i pre - order something and few months later decide that i do not want it anymore. i sell it then (did not happened before relase day yet) , sometimes making profit , sometimes loosing. but i'm not thinking ''well , i'll order 10 and then sell it to some suckers doubling or tripling my money''. and i do not approve of that behavior. personally knowing one person who likes collecting but dont have the money to buy stuff of off scalpers and i can't help it feeling bad for him . knowing there's lots of people like this makes me sick.

i was talking about people who are repeatedly selling like 5 or more , those who are responsible for CE's selling out in few hours after being announced . untill i found this forum paid lots of money to them because there was no (known by me) other way to get the stuff i want .

For what it's worth, on the WBGames forum, in the announcement thread they seem to think it's not just for Batmobile preorders but any purchase going by how they've worded it.

was talking about law system of a particular country - '' if you sell something you gotta deliver it '' . there's no other way . making a refund is seller responsibility . but it can be pretty hard if not impossible for someone lets say in poland to sue somebody in the us over 200 bucks (not sure about international law rules , sadly forgot a lot from what i've learned in the past).
what im saying is paypal has to step up on this. recon they wont have much problem with getting their money back and they can bild up their trust big time. so refund buyers first , then take on the sellers.

Wow. Also got the email from Gamestop (ordered mine literally before they even had the words in the SKU, it was just a $250 item under the batman section) but Gamestop is doing absolutely nothing about it. Wish I had ordered it through Amazon now :(

These were completed and from what I heard sitting in the retailers warehouses as they were prepping them for shipping to customers starting tomorrow or Friday. Cancelling at the last minute is very suspicious it can't be a quality control issue with the Batmobile toy itself since those were made a while ago, and any issues with them would have been noticed then and thus I could see cancellations at that time, but not six days before launch. WB should give a full detailed explanation to fans.

Yeah most people keep saying "Oh it was an issue with the toy" but what they don't seem to realize is the units were done, boxed, shipped to retailers and basically ready to get shipped to customers. WB had more than likely gone over the quality of the toys and they must have signed off on them if they went to the boxing stage of distribution. If there was an issue, it would have been found several months ago, and if the issue was severe, the edition would have been cancelled then, but waiting until all were boxed up, and ready to go out to customers is what is raising red flags. Some may want to pass the blame on the retailers which isnt right, the blame goes to Warner Games/Warner Brothers for this "oh its a quality control issue" nonsense.

The free DLC as an apology is a joke and what WB doesn't seem to understand is alot of people are pissed because they now can't go and get the $99.99 limited edition because those too are sold out. There simply needs to be an explanation given by Warner as to WHY they waited until six days before release. Not a watered down excuse but the truth as to why they didn't catch these quality control/technical issues months ago and then reported it canceled....simply put, why wait until a day or two before they were shipping to customer and six days before launch? That isn't too much to ask....

For what's it worth though Best Buy has made no effort to contact me about my pre-order, it still shows as "processing".....

Yeah I am feeling for the people who have paid ebay scalpers for this and are not out of the 45 day claim period. I have been stung by this once before. Long before I found these boards. It was for Monster Rancher for DS. Pre-ordered it with an ebay seller since Amazon wouldn't ship to me here and the seller had a fair price. The game then got pushed back a month. When it came out, I was out of claim period and needless to say the seller never sent the item and j couldn't get my money back... -_-

I can see a lot of people being stung by this whole affair. :S

I think its because people mainly go based on Amazon and Gamestop for their gaming needs, forgetting that sometimes you can find them elsewhere. Case in point was the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Editions. Sure Amazon and Gamestop sold out in less than a day but Best Buy had them up for three days before selling out, and Bethesda's online store had them up as late as early this morning before selling out. Walmart, Target, and Fry's aren't expected to carry it. Only option now for people is Best Buy in-store only to pre-order but that requires FULL payment in front. I think some will show up on ebay..and they will go for thousand dollars at least..at this point, there is no turning back..the entire lot must be manufactured and packaged by now...release date is soo close..it must have been something like the all of them have a missing piece or a deformity..but I bet 10% of them will make it out to ebay, distributors, employees, etc.

Yeah most people keep saying "Oh it was an issue with the toy" but what they don't seem to realize is the units were done, boxed, shipped to retailers and basically ready to get shipped to customers. WB had more than likely gone over the quality of the toys and they must have signed off on them if they went to the boxing stage of distribution. If there was an issue, it would have been found several months ago, and if the issue was severe, the edition would have been cancelled then, but waiting until all were boxed up, and ready to go out to customers is what is raising red flags. Some may want to pass the blame on the retailers which isnt right, the blame goes to Warner Games/Warner Brothers for this "oh its a quality control issue" nonsense.

The free DLC as an apology is a joke and what WB doesn't seem to understand is alot of people are pissed because they now can't go and get the $99.99 limited edition because those too are sold out. There simply needs to be an explanation given by Warner as to WHY they waited until six days before release. Not a watered down excuse but the truth as to why they didn't catch these quality control/technical issues months ago and then reported it canceled....simply put, why wait until a day or two before they were shipping to customer and six days before launch? That isn't too much to ask....

For what's it worth though Best Buy has made no effort to contact me about my pre-order, it still shows as "processing".....

Do you have confirmation that these were in-fact shipped to the retailers and are boxed in warehouses? Please source it if so. I've got contacts who may be able to procure me one if they are in-fact stateside somewhere in a warehouse or shipping facility. ;)

I haven't heard anything else to that effect though. If these were already produced, my thoughts are either some paint was found to be unsafe at a later date, or there was some sort of unsafe/hazardous material or contaminant discovered late in the game at either the manufacturing, the assembling, or the packaging plant for these. But I've got no sources (yet) on that, just a guess.

With six days before launch, if they weren't sitting in warehouses, someone would have noticed and it would have spread throughout the gaming sites as to why the Batmobile edition wasn't in the warehouse but other versions were. I had heard through some contacts with a major retailer that they had them in their possession but were then told not to ship them to customers as the shipping process to customers so they would have them on launch day of next week would have been starting today or Friday so they would arrive on time for Tuesday's launch. Did every retailer have them sitting in their warehouses? That I can't say but some clearly did.

I just really would like to know the real reasons behind it all and why the last 11th hour decision to cancel from WB rather than read something where they are pointing the blame at TriForce or whomever. Ultimately WB cancelled it and did so just before launch and that is what has most people scratching their heads asking "Why six days before launch?"

I think they might have a licensing issue..or they might decide to make more money buy selling them to North Korea LOL..or some other obscure area..it's known to happen...mattel sometimes ships highly desireable toys by cancelling them for the North American market and sending them to other Asian markets because they go for 3 to 4 times more than the price in the US.

I wonder if that's what was wrong with the Batmobile edition too? I can see it being too pricey for them logistically speaking if they had to return every CE back to some warehouse somewhere for "re-fitting" or "cleansing" and then ship them back out again -- the compounded shipping costs on that many boxes that size could have killed whatever margins they had for selling those editions?

The issues with the limited edition should be "just" EU related. There is some missing certification which is needed here.
