Update: The Special Edition of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D is priced at ?44.99 GBP and can be pre-ordered from the Offical Nintendo UK Store (http://store.nintendo.co.uk/games-3ds/the-legend-of-zelda-majora-s-mask-3d-special-edition/11037906.html). Game UK also announced that pre-orders are starting tomorrow.

yes for the US my gut tells me it will be some sort of Nintendo World exclusive for the PR stunt..and it get's them free publicity buzz and people talking about majoras mask...I doubt US will ever see these 3DS style steelbooks..I think it's a EURO factory thing..i think ours is just set up for G2 now..maybe not as big of a operation as EUROPE since there producing G1/G2/3DS versions..

Yeah, but I don't collect every region for every release (even for Zelda things) - I try to collect just one version of each game and preferably a version that I can actually play with the exception of really rare editions that I like. The way its been looking though, I may be better off purchasing a EU 3DS or something just so I can play all the CEs that have been released that I've had to purchase over there ;)

Well, maybe NOA will shock us all and release a "NEW" 3DS Majora's Mask bundle/special edition console -- they'd be fools not to! :)

Did anyone hear if this was going to be a "Nintendo Store" exclusive CE at all? I don't recall hearing that in the direct at all. If not, then another place this may be available might be Amazon - they've already got the pre-order for the regular edition up HERE (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00KL4PQ3Q) (which is unusual for Amazon to have Nintendo things as it is), and says specifically under the item "This item can be delivered to the United States", so perhaps they might have the CE as well after? :think:

I know game will as they ship worldwide. But remember that the game may be Region Locked so you won't be able to play it on your US 3DS. But I read that Nintendo are considering making their games Region Free, so maybe this game could be Region Free.

Never. ^^ For me at least when my game hasn't arrived on launch day, they send you a Download code for the game so you can play the game while you wait for your order. :D Had it happen with Mario Golf and Mario Kart 8. ^^ I think they only do it wait tracked packages though.

we NEVER received any collectors edition for the upcoming Pokémon..and those games are heavy hitters...technically speaking, same thing happened for AAA titles Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors outside of a tiny amount at 1 store in NYC...I think we can make predictions based on this pattern about the US getting a special edition

That's what I'm hoping for - I'd really like to be able to play the new games that come out for the "new" 3DS, but I won't purchase one until they release a Zelda-themed one. I'm very sad though that my current ALBW 3DSXL has a big scratch across it now due to me leaving it on the table not 100% protected - the curiosity of a little niece can be vicious!

Yeah, while I'd prefer another gold-ish one I'd settle for purple or a different color-scheme for MM. Probably the only Zelda game that I wouldn't be sad NOT to be golden in some form or fashion.

I'd say no. It's quite an odd game, really dark and full of death. Also that moon still gives me the creeps.

Start with ocarina of time or minish cap, they are both gems. I also really enjoyed wind waker. (I think my first Zelda was Oracle of Seasons which is also under my TOP 5)

Agree with Ayiu. Majora is the direct sequel to Ocarina. It's pretty self-contained but there's a few minor story elements that would get lost on you if you haven't played Ocarina yet. Regardless, if you've not played any Zeldas before, I'd say Ocarina's the best place to start, at least for the 3D-perspective Zeldas.

Majora takes its character models from Ocarina and repurposes them, so in a lot of ways Majora's Termina feels like an alternate universe of Ocarina's Hyrule. :thumb:

There hasn't been a Zelda CE yet that wasn't limited.* A Link Between Worlds was the last one, it was GAME UK exclusive, and today it's worth well over $200 USD depending on condition.

*The "limited" Zelda edition 3DS, 3DS XL, and Wii U bundles were not all that limited. So in the above statement I'm talking about standalone game CE's as opposed to console bundles. :D

I've always shied away from picking up international editions of games, because of the added shipping, and exchange rate, but this has always been my favorite Zelda as a kid so I just had to. Is game good at shipping to the US? Has anyone had problems with them in the past?

I've had problems in the past if it's anything bigger than a standard game case,..they kept cancelling my order some days later with no explanation,. but if it's just a standard game case, then no problem at least for me from past experiences.

Well it seems that this is the only option I have since the Nintendo UK store doesn't seem to ship to the US. I guess Ill just hope and pray it gets shipped no problems. I will literally cry if I see a canceled order in my email. At least they don't charge my paypal unless it ships, so I guess I have that going for me.

the limited edition is very limited. it might be sold out already, i got a copy from the eb in swanston street melbourne (the one with the nintendo store upstairs).
the guy there said that the price has not been confirmed yet but a 50$ deposit is needed

Really? I preordered it on Monday, and the RRP was already confirmed to be $89.99NZD. I only put down a $10 deposit, too. I don't know it was in-store only. You can never tell, because EB are so slack with updating their website here!

I think you preordered the wrong one. $89.99nzd is the price of standard copy. Usually EB ask for $30 - $50 for CEs.

You might want to give it a check if you have the Special Edition or Standard preordered.

I've only ever been asked for a $50 deposit on more expensive CEs that are upwards of $200~, like Uncharted 3 and Borderlands 2.
My receipt says "ZELDA MAJO SE 3DS", so I'm fairly certain there hasn't been a mistake.

Interesting how differently things operate between EB AU and NZ.

but here , we follow for "Nintendo " the NA region .

Why 4? There's the UK CE, NA LE, and possibly another standard one for the pre-order bonus thing right? (Or was there 2 pre-order bonuses now?? Maybe that's it!)

I just set up a thread about this edition. It'll also be available on Amazon, they just haven't updated the website yet. I'm thinking about doing a GB for this depending on how many I can order in store.

Also, to everyone else - Amazon.com will be carrying this soon. There's already a ghost listing on the site if you use the mobile app. Expect it to be up soon. Really hoping BB gets this as with GCU it'd be the same price as the standard edition! ;)

Lol I don't know if I'd go that far! XD I just loved Majora's Mask. Was by far my favourite, followed by the Wind Waker and then OoT has to be my third fave. :P I'm dying to play this game again and it will be nice as it will be the first time my GF will have played MM too. With MM being the only one she has neglected to play!! 0.0

Yeah, but they have a nasty habit of sometimes locking internationals out of pre-orders, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I'd offer to do a group buy, but I don't know the release date on this, but I imagine it'll be after my daughter is born so I just can't commit to the sort of time investment a GB takes after she's born.

Keep trying - there was a massive rush to that page after GS sold out (which they did). Wasn't allowing people to add it for at least 10 minutes there, looks like its back up now though. Probably will sell out within the hour I'd imagine though with all the hype about it and those pesky Nintendo resellers.

Long story short, the title got pushed back and the release date fell outside of my 45 day PayPal buyer protection and the seller never sent the item. It wasn't anything rare or sought after was just a region specific game, but was still annoying to be out of pocket £50. Lol

as the buyer "who is always right" according to ebay, you can contact ebay and tell them he scammed you. they WILL give you your money back. Also you know how 6 months to do it, which is crazy, but at least in your situation its helpful.

yeah sellers get scammed all the time because they always side with the buyer. so if you are the buyer and actually get scammed, they are supposed to be on your side guaranteed. selling gets riskier on ebay every day that goes by.

They sold out a couple hours after the listing went live. O_O I spent all day miserable until the guide bundle went up and I was able to get one of those, but those are gone now too.

Wow, totally missed the whole "guide bundle" thing. Guess its not really a deal at all though since GS usually gives you 20% off the Guide if you purchase it with the game and are a PUR member anyway. The guides usually retail at $34.99 so they're basically charging you MSRP and not giving you the regular discount they WOULD give you :facepalm:

At least a few more people are able to get it though, glad to hear. Also, those who PM'd me already, I haven't decided what I'm doing with my "extra" pre-order but will let you know as soon as I do. Sounds like a few other people on here have been able to snag a few extras too, so it might be good to ask around ;)

not sure where youre going with that considering it was a way to get one, seeing as this is looking to be highly limited and sold out in a day. Also its been said that on the receipt they are separate, so you can just return the guide to a gs and BAM they didnt charge you extra for anything...

I think I'm in by the skin of my teeth. Missed out on the initial offerings this morning. :banghead: Ordered as many as I could through GameStop web-in-store and was able to take advantage of the guide bundle on GameStop.com this afternoon too.

May preorder more in-store at GameStop tomorrow if they actually do that.

Trying to get at least one mint copy and one Very Good or better copy for myself, if I get extras I'll help Zelda collectors on this forum rather than scalp. :thumb:

Like if GameStop is for sure doing in-store preorders this morning, and when fry's gets it, and when Amazon has the CE Prima guide for sale? Still pissed I nearly missed this LE yesterday (but thank you to those who emailed me about it!)

Only seen the CE Prima guide at GameStop but I don't wanna pay $35 for it if Amazon will have it at their usual $20ish price.

Guys you don't have to choose more expensive shipping methods on pre-orders. All of my GS pre-orders are shipped via UPS and arrived in release day, and I used the cheapest shipping method every time!

How about condition?

In a box with some protection, no bubbles though. All of my orders, except the Dragon Age CE, arrived in very good (no damage) condition. I trust UPS, never had a problem before.

I had just preordered two of them from their web-in-store and I have that "Ultimate" edition preordered online. Beginning to wonder if I should cancel the online order.

Don't know if this should be taken with a grain of salt but the GS I go to stated that she believes that GS either negotiated with Nintendo or found people who were ordering multiples and canceled theirs and opened it up for others.

Would seem we're both too late. Wow. Less than 25 minutes I think for Best Buy, and I'm pretty sure they had an order limit of 1 per customer.

Good luck. When they sold out online of the SSB Bundle, I ordered 2 copies in-store, and the store I ordered from didn't actually get any in their shipment to cover in-store orders. They told me specifically I should preorder online next time because their policy on limited editions is that if they don't get enough, they fulfill online orders first.

I know Knight says differently about this.

Couldn't hurt to give em a call in the morning. Post here what they tell you if you wouldn't mind. :thumb: I'm still trying to order more of these if I can.

It'll be like most other "rare" CEs and will undoubtedly turn up again a few times between now and launch and then show up on Amazon around 11pm or so the night before shipping with all the orders they cancel.

But yeah, I had decided to keep my 2nd order for someone on here, but turns out she already got one from another member. So will still hang on to mine to save someone some scalping fees at the end -- though if there's someone out there with a US Villager Amiibo I could be very tempted for a trade ;)

Yeah, doing much better! We'll see how he fares tomorrow though!

Also, I'm kind of annoyed at this stupid Zelda Skull Kid statue thing -- its basically made all my searches for the F4F Statue blow up because there's 100's of auctions posted for this edition now. :suicide: Can't even look up "Zelda" now without getting spammed by these!
