Hello everyone,

Did anyone buy a connor premium statue true an official way (in
contact with the guys from purearts).

I had contact with Lorraine Wang and she sounds trustable. I got in contact with her true an email adress on the official purearts.com website.
She asks 510euros including shipping. She is from hong kong were purearts is based. She knew every detail of the statue so she knows about what she is talking. Should I buy it? I really want it. Also, these statues get sold for more then 1k on ebay... dafuck!?

Thansk guys! Let me know!

This is a belated response, however I corresponded with the Purearts folks a year ago and also got some advice from the members here who had sourced the Connor Premium statue directly from the PureArts people (both Lorraine and Jean-Philippe GARAND). They are legit and I would have purchased directly from them however they would not sell or ship to me as a resident of the USA. Apparently their licensing with Ubisoft prohibits it. The price they quoted me is same as you. Anyway, I explored having a relative in DE buy it from them for me and receive it there before forwarding to me in USA however the logistics , additional shipping costs and potential customs taxes made it not worthwhile.

Fast forward to this year and I had a decent tax refund so decided to look into it again. The situation hadn't changed with the PureArts folks however I found a few listed on eBay a few weeks back and negotiated direct with one of the sellers. I paid more than the Purearts direct price however probably around the same price as if I had paid the extra shipping/taxes to have my German relatives send it to me.

I received it this week and I am happy with it even though box & white inner box slightly damaged (I assume in shipping). Package damage aside, the statue is complete and in very good condition other than silver AC3 placard was loose from black foundation and scratched very slightly but glued back into place looks fine. Sender said it would be new/unopened however it is clear that styro packing was already cut open and inner plastic wrap was disturbed an not as nicely folded/taped as in various unboxing videos on YouTube (perhaps customs).

Appears I received #7 of 250 as label on shipping box but I noticed there is no numbering on statue itself. I believe this is normal for these statues as I recall discussion about that here before but would appreciate confirmation of this. It does appear very genuine with official box/packing and Purearts labeling on bottom as well as small silver Purearts tag on back of statue base. However my statue seems slightly different than others shown in forum and on YouTube unboxing videos because the black foundation and statue on mine arrive cemented together as one piece. The black foundation on my statue appears different and is flat without a recessed section for the statue base to fit into as pictured by others with statue on forums. It looks as if my Connor statue is somehow cemented directly onto the flat black foundation base. Also on mine there is slight gap between Connors left hand/glove and the redcoat's chin. Actually the redcoat's head on my statue is slightly loose and can be adjusted in/out slightly. I wonder if these things are this way on my statue because it is such low number and perhaps among first few produced were made slightly different. Everything else seems identical to photos on forums.

Well hi, Since my last post I got the statue straight from lorraine. It's in perfect condition! There is no number on the statue itself, only on the box.

What I think about your statue? I think it was damages in some way and glued back together. This is not normal. All videos abou the statues and my statue have a perfect loose base. Also, there was no gap or any other flaw in the statue.

Greetings

I would have liked to buy it direct too, but I guess in this case I am perhaps disadvantaged by my geography.

... or perhaps I should have first read my email (I sent same questions about my statue to pure arts and received this answer)...

"Hello JC,

We are happy to hear from you and congratulation on the arrival of your statue! :)

Indeed, this item does not have a number on the statue itself. The reason is that it was originally designed to be gifts for high officers of Ubisoft. A year later, when we decided to sell the remaining pieces, we decided to preserve the packaging (therefore NOT add anything inside the box) so that our fans could receive the genuine untouched item.

You just received one of the very first statues to be made and these are the most valuables for collectors!

It is absolutely normal that your statue is slightly different than some others you could see on videos posted by other fans. The reason reside into the production process itself. Each and every single piece is unique (slightly different) because they have been made separately and NOT the product of a regularly-lined manufacture process which would have made them all identical. This is the Pure Arts way and also one of the reason why so many people appreciate our work ;)"

... So while my box is less than mint due to apparent shipping jumble and the unit was certainly opened before arriving to me (again I think by customs); The variances on my piece do not look like repaired damage but just different construction process, This message from JP @ Purearts seems to confirm that mine is just a bit different. I guess that's not a bad thing.

Congrats on your statue as well.

JC

Well, because I'm not into extreme collecting (meaning I skip mass production figures, books, comics, posters, etc etc etc...), I only collect the assassin's creed NUMBERED statues. For the moment I have the connor premium statue, the edward kenway mcfarlane resin statue, the ezio's fury statue and my personal grail -> an artist's proof attakus ezio auditore deluxe edition statue (number 12 of 20, extremely rare).

Pics? No not really. I don't work with photobucket or whatever program is used these days to put pics online. I can send some true email if you want.

Overall, I only have one statue (the attakus deluxe edition artist's proof) that you don't have. So, not really interesting to send pictures really :)

I'd would interested to see shot of the attikus Ezio. That was a real lucky pickup. Are you the post I read about some time ago where you emailed Attakus about a broken eBay purchase and they sent that to you>?

Yes indeed, that's me :)
Give me your email and I will send you some pics.
Just to say : The statue is actually mostly the same as a 'normal deluxe edition' but these artist's proof statues were prototypes. Only one is outside attakus company doors, number 12 of 20 made :)

Did you ever get your hands on the Attakus Ezio statue of 200? I remember us chatting about it a year ago or so.

Yeah, number 11 of 200. But it was damaged. Sold it again for a lower price :/
But actually I'm glad it was damaged. Else I would never have contacted attakus and I'll would never have had this rare artist's proof statue :p

I think I recall a story of that. Would you mind elaborating again how you got it?

well I asked if someone had the statue in 'statue collectors BST' on facebook. There was this guy who knew a shop in Toronto (US) who had it. I contacted them. I paid, they delivered. It was damages (knives missing) and the whole statue was glued back together (very professional but I want a mint statue for such an amount of money). I sold it and contacted attakus. The guy I sold it too got a discount. I don't want to make a bad name.

the store was : the hobby spot

Ah. How or why did attakus 'hook you up' though?
