North American customers who pre-order the PS4 remaster will also receive a free desktop calendar featuring art from Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano (pictured below).

European pre-order customers won't receive the free desktop calendar, however. Instead, they'll have their copy upgraded to include a free Steelbook (pictured below) again featuring artwork from Yoshitaka Amano.

The steelbook is available to all pre-orders of the game in PAL territories and that includes retail shops. It might take a little while for them to update their stores/systems but no matter where you pre-order the game, you will get the Limited Edition/steelbook.

Pre-ordered one for me. Does amazon.de ship these to the US or Canada ? I remember some had issues with the Mario Kart 8 steelbook edition and the Last of Us steelbook edition.

I preordered from Amazon UK instead. Per the site it says all places will receive bonus so I'm not worried, also they were slow to show it on the US site for the PS3 version and it seems the same will be here. Also for some reason it gave me £7.05 discount from the current price (I didn't have any promo/gift cards/credit)

Do not understand the price difference; steelbook (£37.58) and normal (£39.99) but I would make sure that you have ordered the right one and your preferred retail stocks it. I myself tried ordering with 365games because they were the cheapest - £31.99. And this was their message when I asked for confirmation:

For some reason Amazon UK says can't ship to my address for the limited edition even though it says shipping to USA available on product page. I have the original one preordered due to it being the only one available at the time, so I find it odd. Any one else have this problem?

Also I contacted their CS and they said that all orders will receive limited edition regardless but I still prefer to make sure I have the actual listing preordered to be sure.

LOL..i actually do recall people getting irrate and hating steelbooks, especially when all initial copies were steelbook editions as upgrades, they'd complain how they stick out and don't match the other standard game cases, and how they are more fragile and how they don't show gameplay graphics on the package etc..so yes :)..there are gamers and collectors who HATE the sight of steelbooks, and would NOT even take it as a free upgrade.

my guess it is slightly different as the one above has more pages, but I imagine a lot of content will be recycled from the one before? If you want only the steelbook I suggest you to wait for a month or two. It will be around $15-20 then.
