It's already been announced but I remember checking the other thread and it only had US info at the time (it might have been updated since then but I've not checked in the past week or two) so maybe this isn't the right subforum but I think it is the first time I've seen UK info.

Although, Jesus, when did it all start getting so expensive?
There's The Witcher 3 - £140, Batmobile Edition - £170, this - £200 and that's not all even mentioning the Claptrap in a box edition of Borderlands...
I'm not looking forward to seeing this year's AC one (or two even if there's another last gen one) considering they always have a good CE on Ubishop, then there's extra figures too if you want them, which, I unfortunately will, I've got all of them so far so it feels like I'm too far in to stop.
Yeah, yeah, I know, it's people like me that are causing this price increase in the first place but I think there is a noticeable hike this year compared to last year.

Not with the current trend. 250 only comes with statue + steelbook maximum not including DLC goodies that have literally no value for collectors.

Same here, you kind of pay 100 dollars(or more?) extra for the statue, usually for that kind of amount you can have a much better quality statue if you just buy one separate.

I'll probably keep mine as I have been diehard Halo. I, honestly, expected the statue to be of like quality due to the previous iterations of the series statues. I do like the added inclusion of the magnets as it makes it more customizable when displaying.

Do I think it's worth $250? No, but time will tell if prices keep raising upon the next versions and will eventually hit my limit of how much I will spend as a collector. There is only so much profit a single IP can generate without something extremely fresh or innovative.

I really don't know what to do about this one tbh.

I like the sheer scale of the figure and I love Halo but it looks shoddy as hell in close-ups (real lack of detail imo and you could see the moulding marks and everything) and I really didn't like the way the figures shook rather a lot whenever he moved it, didn't look like a good sign to me.
Wtf's happened to Project Triforce over the past year or two when it comes to CE's?

Also interesting that there's 3 weeks to release and Game haven't sold out yet.
I'm seriously tempted to cancel and pick it up when they realise, 'Oh, shit, we've got a warehouse full of 3'x2'x2' Halo 5 CE's! We don't have the space for anything else now! Quickly reduce this crap and get it cleared!' :P

My decision was rather easy after seeing the statue, the only reason you're kind of spending about 150 euros extra (?) Is for the statue, which doesn't even seem that great of a quality statue compared to other statues i could buy for around that price. :p

It's a lot better than the 300USD asking price over here in the UK! :P

I actually hadn't looked up the US price before now but even if it was equal to the US price I'd be way more likely to go for getting it.

As it is I've been thinking hard about it and I'm still really stumped although I'm leaning more towards waiting it out I think when I think about how it looks like it was painted by a blind chimp, how when it moves they give a good impression of a pished pirate at sea in the middle of a storm, how little physical content you get with it (compare it to Reach for example which was great), no disc (yeah, you can somehow get one but they've not said anything else yet as far as I know) and the price.

There’s a limited time-frame in which you can do so, and it must be done by 1st November. Obviously, if the code has already been redeemed the swap will not be possible.

To request the swap, digital code owners simply need to contact Customer Support via their website, and provide Microsoft with their gamertag, email address, the digital 25-character code, and a postal address for shipment of a shiny new physical copy.

The physical copy will be sent alongside codes to redeem the additional Limited Edition content, and should take 3-5 days.

Sounds like thin hollow plastic, you can hear it when they move the Locke part over and set it down.

I still don't get the logic of providing a steelbook (jumbo in fact) when they are just providing a digital code. Apparently this is the logic behind the digital code

Unlike those versions, however, the collector's edition will be available a week early. This will allow CE buyers to begin downloading Halo 5 early, though they'll have to wait until it officially launches to actually begin playing

So you can't play it anyway until launch after preload - so what difference does this make to the normal routine in receiving CE on release day where we can just pop the disc in? I am assuming at most 1/2 a day in waiting for delivery assuming this unlocks at midnight so it's not like everybody will stay awake to play this at midnight anyway especially when the release day is a Tuesday (school and work the following day) on October 27th. To me this makes no sense considering this would only save a few hours of my life and at the end of the day, the people who want to play it ASAP can pre-order digitally anyway.

It is all to save production costs and the biggest reason is to lock in the cost of the game forever... no used game sales, at least for those CE copies of the game. And yeah a steelbook for a CD'less CE is insane.

As with all corporations it is all about more profit, sadly Microsoft has not learned taking this to extremes hurts them (like with the initial announcement of the XB1).

Saw the Halo 5 CE statue at my EB Games store today. It's quite huge but it looks cheaply made, the paint on both figurine looks awful. Not worth the heavy pricetag on it

Also saw the Halo 5 CE box on sale at my Best Buys store, the box is 2x as huge as Halo Reach, the box isn't really heavy. You can buy it but since there are no CD in it, you have to wait till Tuesday to play it. :P
