I would like your opinion on that matter. According to you which are the ten rarest steelbook nowadays?

Off the to top of my head I could name a few like mirrors edge, Ac 2 and dead island but I'd like to hear a few suggestions by our members

I agree with the most steelbooks on your list.

I would add the thai Resident Evil 6 steelbook which was available for pc in g2-size and I would also add the 3 mexican steelbooks of Army of Two- The Devils Cartel, Crysis 3 and Dead Space 3.

Yeah, took me sometime to find the Thailand RE 6 steelbook.

I don't think the Mexican Crysis and Dead Space are rare though

The light blue one showing the sky was a FutureShop exclusive as far as I know.

It is not thaaaaat hard to find one but damn they're expensive. So I won't say it's within the Top 10 most rare steelbooks.

In my opinion it's not the price which makes a steelbook really rare (ofc it's definitely a good way get an idea of how rare it is). It's more finding a mint copy of the steel.

For example, it took me about 10 months to find a truly mint copy of the Dead Rising 2 Xbox 360 G1 steelbook. There are plenty auctions for this on ebay for a few bucks but finding a mint one was a real struggle.

There were brand new ones on eBay for ~$80-$90 for a long time before. This is a rare one but not as rare as the Dutch steelbooks/stickerbooks

Yeah there were a few available not to long back, seem to have been snapped up now though. No idea how many there were made. I thought I read somewhere that the people who make steelbooks wont do less than 5000 though.....Makes me wonder where all those Mirror's Edge ones are if that's the case......I want one of those :drool:

Maybe the 5000 print run is only for some companies. I found an article about low print run movie steelbooks, the lowest print run is 50. I don't think mirror's edge is this low, but it should be around 1000-2000 I think.

I paid $200 for the Mirror's Edge. But it is worth the money, such a beautiful steelbook.

They grade a lot of figures. Star Wars, Gi Joe etc. but also do video games. I took a few of my games for them to grade and was overall happy with the service, took a bit longer than I'd like but I'm impatient. The dad of the guy who runs it lives near me so I can drop stuff off with him, saves on postage but best of all I know some Muppet at a sorting office isn't going to kick my precious items around.

All we need in the UK now is a comic book graders. I have some I'd like slabbed, but the postage and turnaround time to send stuff to CGC puts me off.

Nope! ULE comes with a normal blackback version of the game. no steel. :D

My error - I was thinking there was a Dutch Need for Speed but it was GT5 and several eventually cropped up in Greece.....

But Star Wars never :(

The Austrian G2 for saints row is rare to see crop up but overall stickerbooks win hands down due to the lower minimum print run...

Mirrors Edge is stunning though :)
