Pre-E3, Sony have just announced that there will be a Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain PS4 console, in contrasting red & black with gold trim and FoxHound motifs on the console and controller! Due to be released on the 1st of September 2015 in Europe and Australia (no word yet whether it will be released in the States)

if you really want your son to have it..i would buy it and stash it in the loft...the disappointment and pain on your son's face when it can't be found other than on ebay at inflated prices would be regrettable...they may be stock..now, but the game release is barely a week old...a month from now..the stock could be pretty much gone..SONY has to give a big push to Stars Wars darth vader and destiny consoles..so don't expect the production number to be high, since the holiday bundles will be focused on the latter 2.

Yeah in my opinion nothing is truly limited edition unless they are willing to share the production size.

If you say "well only a certain amount will be produced" then that is cop out as it applies to every item in existence and it means they can produce more whenever they want (which is why they do not give us a number, and they do only want us to know how big the number is initially).

As for the consoles at Game - it seems the price is going back up, altho the 'vanila' MGSV version is listed at £319, when you hover over it the price says £360...however I just added it to basket and bought at the lower price...so I suspect the price is going back up but they just hadn't updated that one.

Maybe it is due to the lighting that Sony used during the photo shoot. The overall appearance has changed.
