The Capcom Blog recently unveiled (http://www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/blog/2010/07/15/dead_rising_2_zombrex_edition_revealed_for_north_a merica!) details about the upcoming Zombrex Edition of Dead Rising 2 which will be exclusive to North America.

Available for both Xbox 360 and PS3, the Zombrex edition will come in a SteelBook case and includes a plethora of Zombrex branded goodies including a syringe pin, prescription pad and Zombie Outbreak Pamphlet among other things. It of course also includes more traditional CE bonuses such a hard cover Art Book and a movie disc with a full-length feature film as well as a making-of documentary.

Slated for release on September 28th, the Zombrex Edition will run you about $80.

Personally I think this is a much cooler CE than the Outbreak Pack recently announced (http://collectorsedition.org/3006/dead-rising-2-outbreak-pack-special-edition) for Europe, though I see it more as a mea culpa from Capcom to North America or not giving us a CE release for the first Dead Rising while Europe got the SteelBook (http://collectorsedition.org/game-db/dead-rising-steelbook-edition-360-pal).... I highly doubt it...

That syringe pen is actually pretty common, ask anyone who works in a doctor's office and they probably have a dozen of them with various name brand drugs left as advertising flash from their drug reps.... I know I've got a few at home since my wife works in a vets office. the pens all have animal meds advertised down the sides.

I believe as far as games go there was a Bioshock plasmid syringe pen given to people signed up on the forum before the game came out as well as an RE5 Virus one that came as part of some Japanese release.

Too many Editions for this game.

I Ordered the Outbreak Pack and the US Zombrex. Now it will be a pain in the *ss, or in my wallet (cause I live in Germany) to order this one. ;(

I use borderlinx to get it.

It´s a service from DHL, where you get your own personal adress in the USA (for example) for shops which didn´t deliver to your country. I use it also for game.co.uk to get my Outbreak Ed. ;) But it costs a "little".

Maybe it´s also available in the UK?! ;)

I just pre-ordered the hi-stakes edition... the publisher online store exclusives always end up holding their value better than just about any other CE so it's worth it IMO.

I'll probably keep my zombrex edition pre-order too... I'm not really interested in the outbreak edition though.

They are expensive for a one off items. I will have to order some other items to get the shipping rates down.

Little big planet 2 collector's edition order coming up.
