Dr Jengo's World - Collection from Singapore!

Hey guys! Been here for quite a while already so I guess a lot of you already know me. Anyway you can call me Dr Jengo, Jengo, Doc, Jengoboy whatever you like.. and I'm from Singapore!

Quite sometime back, I got new shelves for my collection so I re-arranged plenty of things on display. Still.. I don't have space to put up everything but there's plenty to show you guys.

I also run my own gaming blog where I share gaming & collectibles news, collection pics, thoughts and comments on various games and collectibles I own.

As you can see, I'm largely a figure and statue collector. To me, the characters are the highlight of each game. As I look through my collection, I'd like to reminisce on the characters' role in each game through the figures on display. My collection is not all figures though, I have plenty of CEs, replicas and art pieces that need to find their space someday..

Ah yes, that along with the rest of the AC Unity stuff haven't found a place yet. Future shelves, I guess. Even the AC IV shelf seems a bit too cluttered.

Mortal Kombat Statues
I'm a big fan of Mortal Kombat, love their character designs and the lore is very deep for a fighting game. So glad PCS Collectibles are doing lots of MK statues. Gonna keep getting almost everything they make. This will be a wonderful sight in a few years.

The Order: 1886
To be honest, I haven't played this game but I liked what I saw on trailers and I was impressed by the quality of the statues so I bought both Collector's Editions. No regrets with the item but hopefully the game lives up to it..

I absolutely love love love your collection! I knew you were into statues but this is awesome. You and I have the same track mind on completionism but I feel like you have more money to dedicate than I do. I am impressed! Have you thought about painting the bookshelves to match the collection they contain or do you move your statues around for more additions? Also, do you collect consoles if they are related to what you are collecting? Just curious as I did not see any consoles and I'm sure they made an Assassin's Creed III one by Colorware. :shrug:

Yes I am more into statues than anything else but I do enjoy collecting other stuff as well. Would love to see your collection as well and tell me more about obsession with completionism.. Makes me feel normal :barsong:

Yup I do move them around for now but I'm looking to get a custom-made display in the future. Will be looking into painting that to fit my collections. It's something I want to take time to think about before throwing the money. Would want all the collections to fit perfectly together on the same shelf instead of them being all over the place.

So for collections like Mortal Kombat, I would need a good estimation of how much space they would take.

Consoles? Not yet, I would buy if there's a console with one of my fav games but so far nothing yet.. And it has to be only Playstation :P
No point buying a console I wouldn't use..

the blood version of ryu hayabusa looks badass, the blood splatters on the base looks so cool!

i love how you displayed your mortal kombat statues, i think shao khan is my favourite, he looks very impressive. cant wait to see new updates!

Wish I could leave my Mortal Kombat statues as they are in the pic but that's the dining table at my parents' place.. :rotf:

Wow! Nice! Those are great looking statues. I loved the Heroes series but I stopped playing after 3 due to college at the time. 2 and 3 were my jam back in the day playing on my Toshiba Inifinia. Either way though, those are some great looking statues.

Have you seen the HD remake of 3? I tried it out and where they did make some improvements, it wasn't enough to fully warrant the price they were asking when it first came out. They are definitely banking on the nostalgia factor that I'm sure most people have. Other than that, it did feel good to be playing a childhood favorite.

That's too funny, I also stopped playing at the 3rd one. Loved it and the 2nd one's map editor/level builder though -- made so many awesome maps/scenarios with those back in the day! Nice to see some HoMM fans here though and gorgeous looking statues bud!

Very solid, high-quality helmets and the box serves as a very cool display piece when opened because of that artwork. Ubisoft made some nice displayable CE boxes with AC Syndicate as well and I'm loving that trend!

I actually like the helmets.. wasn't sure about getting the statue as the game's story mode was very short. But seeing it in person, I love it too.

Glad you enjoy it! It's always great to see friends enjoying your collection :)

There has been some criticisms about their delays and the lack of communication about this. Good news is they have gotten some good people on board and there has been some improvements in the past couple of weeks.

That is good to hear. I've always heard good things about PCS and, funny enough, I've heard the same issues cropping up with GamingHeads. I don't know how robust these companies are in regards to their PR teams but I do know that it feels like the statue market has been on the rise and may contribute to the amount of complaints these companies have been receiving. Quite interesting watching it all develop as the prices on these statues have been increasing (quality too, for the most part!).
