I hope you are correct, but I read that as the preorder bonuses that could be for the standard edition, not necessarily guaranteeing the other sets would be there. They already confirmed that the Libertalia Collector’s Edition is not available in Canada, which seems unusual if Amazon is going to carry it.

Let's see here, so far we have two versions. One exclusive to reach main store here.
I believe something bigger will be announced soon! (after the trilogy collection is released).

The U3 Explorer Edition wasn't exclusive to on store, so theoretical bigger CE should become available to both Jb and EB.
Though a console version may become exclusive to Eb?!? /Theory.

Flatout ebgames in aus still have them up for order. Not as cheap as amazon but probably cheaper than ebay.

$40 difference between the editions ($80 and $120). As I said before Gentle Giant made the Batman Arkham knight statue I unboxed and it was very good for a low budget statue.

Both Amazon and Gamestop are the US versions, so I'd just change the shipping address to your address I mean :) and then all I'd need would be for you to send payment roughly a week before release :) x

I'm not sure the reason for why we pay so much more here. There really can be no justification for it. I buy 90% of my games from UK online retailers or Aussie sellers that sell UK imports.

Yeah I figured that, but the EB price of $200 is only a place holder price. I'll wait closer to release as it may drop.

I'm also waiting to see what the statue is made out of & then consider whether it's worth the extra money.

What's up with the lack of physical stuff in the CE? Deus Ex has similar items (statue/steelbook/artbook) but at an even higher price. Looks like publishers this gen are scrimping on the physical stuff and offering bullshit dlc instead. I'll go with the special edition cos the statues in CEs are usually crap anyway. :poke:

I was gonna but it was still $150 including shipping and import taxes.

Works out around £100, a decent saving against the UK version if you really wanted it. Was still more than I'm willing to pay though.

today I went to best buy, and what scared me as a gamer, was they were cutting into the store space reserved for video games, and expanding and setting up a tabletop display full of tablets of different brands, and selfie sticks, GOPRO cameras and like those facebook game digital download cards and some giant Microsoft display for some windows 10 "apps" stuff..i was irritated by it, and I asked a salesperson, if they would relocate the game section, and he said "NO, we just gotta work with the new confines"..he kinda knew me, and knew I collected, because I went to the store a lot, because they had a solid selection of games, consoles, accessories, etc...at this store, i'm talking about a 30% reduction in physical game areas, and a huge new set up for tablets, phones, and selfie sticks, and GOPRO'S cameras.

Yup, I am glad they do not do too much detail (would take my hobby away from me :( :D ).

I find the artwork on the disc interesting, because the US version could potentially have a different one!?

Really? If it is a decent statue it would be a $100 statue by itself (that is what their statues usually cost, like the Batman Arkham Knight one I unboxed). This should not be some cheap plastic figure... it should be a nice ceramic type statue (cannot think of what the material they used is called right now).

But it all depends o whether you enjoy statues or not, and also whether is is a good one (the preview makes me think it is about what i thought it would be based on the Batman statue I had from Gentle Giant).

Yup definitely. A good statue for me trumps all (though CEs are hit and miss... I have seen a lot of good though lately). Art books for me are not worth much, unlike statues they are usually only $30 or so (separate retail). But for people a good art book may have more sentimental value then a statue.

In that case, maybe you should wait. I don't know what it's with me and getting spoiled, but it seem to happen every time I visit a youtube video about a show I like etc. I often seem to forget that shows usually air earlier in USA than in Norway.

The CE is $200 here, and for me it was no question if I should order it or not. But yeah we pay a lot for the statue, just hoping it's good quality. If your not that in to it the special edition is cool too though.

It's indeed different in material and design, but the point I want to make is that after a price figures must have all kinds of great details, from the painting, to the sculpting and the pose. Everything must be of a level and above in order for the figure to be a good one.

That's right. The currency have fallen a lot over the past year because of the oil prices. Also the VAT is high. Doesen't help to buy from other countries eighter, if I buy something from for example ebay worth say $150, I would have to pay around $60 at the post office. We basically get bent over here :1:

Glad I cancelled the libertalia edition and grabbed the special edition instead, managed to get special edition for £50 so wasn't fussed on paying another £50 for that statue. I suppose quality of the statue looks OK in the vids though.

That is true. My impression was that most people didn't really fancy the U3 CE. I would have loved an extra item in the U4 CE, but at least we get an okey statue of drake, which is hard to find unless you cash out like $500 for the sideshow premium format.

I preordered as soon as possible and then got an e-mail saying the price had dropped to £105 and so I would be paying that. Then the next day I got an e-mail saying it had dropped to £110 and again, Preorder Proce Promise meant I'd pay that. I ignored the second as I had the earlier, cheaper one.

Now though my order's being packed and I've spotted that there's the standard £120 pending for it.

I contacted the chat who told me to e-mail screenshots of the lower price e-mails but I've not heard anything since then and so wondered if anyone else has had this happen too.
