Unbranded box? My copy of the last major DLC with the two decks of cards was branded and quite nice. Even had instructions on how to play Gwent.

Then you purchased the PS4 version right? The LE gwent box does not have the xbox brand anywhere in the US from what I saw. Maybe you've seen differently?

It will be a bit shitty of them to release the 2 decks of cards that were "exclusive" to the XB1 CE with this expansion.. Yeah, it's nice that they have stuck to their word so far, but still, it's not a very good move on their part from a fan and/or collector's perspective.

Where did you see that the two decks were the ones included with the XB1 CE?

Am still hoping they are different though! The lady at the CDPR booth couldn't tell me either way and I missed the dev signing at PAX by 6 minutes today... Brought all my steels and gwent cards to get signed and tuns out they were giving away the latest gwent pack (the last set) and a postcard for the signing... :( will have to pay more attention to times next time!

Where did you see that the two decks were the ones included with the XB1 CE?

If you look closely at the second picture in the OP, the 2 decks in the corner show as Blue and Black, so I would assume they are the same ones that came with the XB1 CE.

Unless they are making new decks for the game and are included them as part of the limited edition for the DLC, they will logically be the Black and Blue ones from the CE since they released the Red and Green with the last LE.

Yeah, I would hope they are different and that there are more Gwent matches to play with the new DLC.

Speaking of Steelbooks, I still need a G2 Novigrad steelbook since I got fleeced out of a G1 version which I was supposed to trading for a G2... -_- If anybody has a spare G2 Novigrad that they could hook me up with, that'd be great. :D

A heads up, I seen them say on their Facebook page that whilst these are the same decks as the Xbox One CE they have altered the value of the cards to change the balance of them.

So effectively they're both the same cards in terms of art but also different cards in terms of playing with them.

Based on the page where you submit your code, it is the entire package (unbranded). Says an LE box is included among the other goodies. At least the unbranded packaging will look like the first one. And saved 10% for preordering digitally on XBL. Guess that makes up for the hassle.

I did get my code in less than 24 hours and have ordered my LE. Doesn't ship until the end of June, though.

Just ordered mine as well, thanks for the info! Also, yeah, they were giving away those unbranded packs for free and signing them at PAX East this year. Sadly I missed the signing by less than 5 minutes :(
