If the pre-release images are anything to go by this is a lovely steelbook that seems to come with postcards and a poster along with the game discs and manual but, sadly, appears to be only the PC variant currently

I would really love to get this, but sad its only for PC :( Anyone got the twitter account of the actual devs for this? Maybe we can ask real nicely for an X1 version? (although I guess then I'd complain that its a G1 and not a G2, so maybe its better that way)

I'm pretty sure Amazon.fr had the G2 version, but I'm 100% sure Amazon.com has the G2 steel as well (got mine from there). If you're in the States, might be easier/cheaper to get it from there (if it's not too late to cancel the Amazon.fr order lol).

That's great news; I thought for some reason the USA release was the DVD size. I just want it to line up next to my other PS4/XB1 steelbooks and be even. I canceled the Amazon.fr order. Yes, that should be the right one. North America got both G1 and G2 steelbooks. But only Amazon.ca had the G1 steelbook, while Amazon.com had the G2 steel.

It is the G2 version. Fits right in with the rest of the gang. Hope this helps others out who are wondering the same thing. Thanks to all who contributed!

Thanks man, there are a few I'm still really interested in that I can't find for a reasonable price. I understand the FFX Steelbook is pretty rare, but I'm not paying $120~ for it, especially without the game.

There is no rare Final Fantasy Steelbook, people just inflate the prices especially when the Steels are only released in a Big expensive CE. Just wait long enough and youll get them for less than 30€
