They are going the same route like with Uncharted. Gentle Giant statue, Steelbook, little Artbook and some digital goodies. I'm good with that. :spiteful:

Uncharted 4 had the same price in the US and it also came with a Gentle Giant statue. The Uncharted 4 one was good, especially for the price.

I guess it will be 129,99€ for Europe and 149,99-169,99€ for Germany. Because Sony loves to raise prices for us.

For 200$ this is laughable. But it's Project Triforce so it is as expected. Would love to have a statue like that but not from them and not with this quality. Sony should have give it to Gentle Giant like the CE one. Wonder what they could to this budget.

Oh I completely get that... but he is not a member of the press nor a journalist of any kind (as far as I can tell). He is a collector and gamer like us. I think he just has a friend in the Aus PlayStation branch... or they just like him a lot (his channel and the fact he is also in their country) and send them to him.

Maybe they asked him never to reveal the assets (which are usually just screenshots from the game, a logo, and the same trailers we can all see on YouTube), in which case I can understand not wanting to piss off the bearer of a few thousand $'s in free gifts each year (that VR PK is AWESOME!) :D

But yeah if I was in his shoes and was told not to share them I wouldn't either. I would feel bad about it and maybe try to get them to change their minds but still I would not show them. Just sucks :D In that regard I am glad I do not get items free promotional items... I have no free gift rules to play by :D

nope just copied the link from my phone. I initially found it by googling "thunderjaw collection" and clicking the Shopping tab. It was listed about 5 days ago for 199.99, checked back today and it was down to 161.99. Just tried doing it that way again and its not there. It was also available from Target for 199.99 at some point, found the target lisitng the same way but its no longer there either. However, if you google "thunderjaw collection target" it comes up.

Mine came in today. I gotta say, the North American version's outer box is very disappointing. The Europe version is much nicer. The bright blue from the American version just wrecks the box art.

I like the solid Black/Gold theme you guys got.

Well I watch an unboxing just to see the statue detail and I am both impressed and disappointed. I will go into detail in my unboxing tmorrow but from the one I saw I could see her face looks fat (maybe she has a really fat face in game?) but that worst part was on the back of her arms are some narley cast lines. This is a HUGE peeve of mine, I mean seriously that cannot add much more time to these... to just sand that part down after gluing the halves together before finish and painting? I suppose it is too much to ask :(

Sorry to hear that man. That's why I always order from Best Buy when I can. They ship games very early to get them to you on release date, most of the time they arrive one day before release date.

I might have to start if I continue to worry about my channel (for an unboxing channel the earlier the better... and late is just unacceptable really), though to be honest I have been giving thought on not doing videos anymore (or just much less). They cancelled mine as my bank thought it was fraud and declined the payment, and then when I phoned up to get it replaced they apologised and said it's actually completely sold out as they oversold it a little. And none of the stores in Glasgow have any stock. Honestly getting a little sick of collecting at times :( really wanted that game (LE or CE!) x

I wish Sony would start shrink wrapping the boxes, it would prevent some of the damage here.

Again, they could prevent that if they would use a sticker for logos like this.

So, now to find what's the best way of removing an extremely sticky label and its disgusting residue from a steelbook...

Some bloody idiot(s) at Amazon have stuck one straight onto the steelbook and even through being as delicate as possible it immediately rips and there's no way to cleanly get it off.

Goo Gone works excellent. Though you are going to want to peel as much paper off as you can, but it will take care of the residue with only slight scrubbing.

Thanks very much, I remember hearing that brand was good but I don't think I've seen it over here so I'll keep my eyes peeled since the Amazon steelbook is nicer than the CE one in my opinion.

Just opened mine though and there's a few bits I'm disappointed with though.

1 & 2 being the bigger thing for me of the themes. They suck, they're the standard lazy "dynamic" themes where it's a different static picture on each UI level with some music. I love good themes and so was excited to see what they could do with such a beautiful game as Horizon but it's just so boring, I like it when it does something. (eg Firewatch or the Abzu one that released just yesterday.)

3 is a small irritation though where the CE didn't get a slipcase like the LE. Perfect, cheers designer, now I have a steelbook and a loose small artbook.

Still, little things in the grand scheme, I suppose.

Make a complaint to Amazon & demand a partial refund. They should honour it. They've done it for me in the past when things have arrived in less than stellar condition, but not as bad as your box. I don't know what's with Amazon, every package always has the box facing down on the front, which is the worst. If the back was scratched up, it's wouldn't be as bad. How hard is it to spin it around??? :banghead:

On a similar note, I settled with the LE and there's also an extremely sticky clear label on it. Getting that crap off drove me nuts. I used the same sticker to pull off the residue, wasn't game using a 'goo remover' in case it took the print off with it. Anyway I managed to get it all off but you can still see where it was as it's left a slightly raised indentation on the box, if that makes sense.

I remember The Uncharted Collection LE & Uncharted 4 LE also had these shitty labels, there is just no need for it. :suicide:

So something interesting. The Focus seems like it may have been a late development design choice (maybe to better explain how and why she can see this holographic interface)... as it is not on the statue and not in any of the earlier promotional images and screenshots (from what I can see).
